I reached out to AAA and since my sister was in the Porter Ranch area, Northridge Service was assigned to the service call. Right away one of their driver called me and told me he was 10 minutes away when the AAA app showed me it would take 45 minutes. He drove around the parking lot and found my sister in the Vineyard Porter Ranch. After confirming I was a AAA member, he changed out her blown tire with the spare tire. Whenever you call AAA for roadside assistance, the usual format is that depending where you are, they will call one of their approved centers. Most of the time, issues with my cars have transpired in the radius that selects Northridge Service. I consider this a blessing, because immediately, I feel comfortable, in spite of the stress that can overcome, when you are stuck with a non functioning vehicle. This time, I had an experience that was so impressive. So imagine my real time scenario. My car is rattling, loud sounds, I am hearing like broken glass and metal, there is a lite but significant burning smell. The car dash alerts me with sounds and a warning sign, to immediately stop, not drive the car. So I frantically comply. When it was time to call AAA, before I even got off the phone, the dispatcher at Northridge Service was already calling me, stating they were going to be on their way. Wow. Wow. This is also a compliment to AAA too, who provided a swift response, with immediate relevant communication and high level of service. The tow truck arrived in less than 20 minutes, another friendly driver Abdolhamid (Tony), who loaded the car promptly and swiftly took it on its way, to Northridge Auto, for examination, analysis and a plan of action. I broke down off the 118 freeway at 5:35 PM on a Sunday afternoon on May 5th at the Desoto exit and called AAA. I was towing a U-Haul trailer. AAA screwed up, as they often do, and gave towing companies the wrong address, sending towing companies to the opposite end of the Valley. However after a few more phone calls, they finally got it right. Northridge Service dispatched a flatbed wrecker to my location, and the driver; Luis, explained that it violated their policy to tow a vehicle with a trailer, even if their truck has a hitch. Basically, Luis was there to check up on my welfare, since I'd now been there for three hours, and I really appreciated that. He told me to call back when I was able to arrange for the trailer to be picked up separately. An hour later at 8:35 PM, I did arrange for a friend to pick up my trailer and my truck was now ready to be towed. I called and texted Luis back and got no answer. I called and texted Northridge Service back several times and got no answer or response. They were simply ignoring me. I called AAA back, and they literally informed me that Northridge Service dispatch flat-out refused to do business with me for some reason, and they were choosing instead to leave a motorist stranded at night, in a dangerous area and with no heat or provisions. Nice... After several more calls to AAA, they finally were able to secure Mike's Towing for me, but they were not able to pick me up until 1:30 AM. Yes, that's being stranded for 8 hours. I don't blame Luis with Northridge, as he was doing his best to look out for my safety and seemed genuinely concerned. But the actions of the dispatcher at NSI were inexcusable, and frankly, he/she should not be working in any customer-service related business, especially where public safety is concerned. AAA should also remove NSI from their list of towing companies, as they are unreliable and their actions are dangerous. However I will leave a stellar review for Mike and Mike's Towing, for getting me home, even if it was at 2:00 AM. read more

I called as soon as it was assigned, spoke to a female and asked to make sure they send a flat bed due to the tesla needing a tow. She confirmed the flat bed and tow mode being available and said 30 to 45 mins. 1031pm eta. I saw their flat bed truck pass me on Variel Ave in Chatsworth so I flagged down the driver. He drove maybe another 200 yards into a lot. I waited for him to turn around, instead he went in to their garage. I looked up the company and I am literally 7 min walking distance from them. Basically they decided to go home, forget they accepted the dispatch and closed. It's now 1137pm and im sitting here waiting for another aaa flat bed company. Very unprofessional. Concern Regarding Recent AAA Roadside Assistance Experience on 11/12/2024 Dear AAA Customer Service Team, I'm reaching out to share feedback on my recent experience with AAA Roadside Assistance, as it was my first time using the service to have my car towed to a body shop. Unfortunately, the experience left me quite disappointed due to the service I received from the driver, whose name is Valut. During the tow, one of my car doors wasn't closing completely. Without asking for permission, the driver took a leash from my car that belonged to my dead dog. This leash holds significant sentimental value, and I am keeping it in memory of my pet who recently passed away. When I asked him not to use it, explaining its importance to me, he responded by tossing it into the backseat with visible frustration. Furthermore, he began forcefully pulling the seatbelt through the door in a way that seemed likely to cause damage. When I politely requested that he stop to avoid potential harm to the seatbelt, he became visibly irritated, stepped out of the car, and muttered something under his breath. I understand that towing situations can sometimes require adjustments, but I believe AAA should equip its drivers with the proper tools to handle these challenges without needing to use a customer's personal belongings. I would greatly appreciate it if this driver "Valut" could receive coaching on how to handle customers' property respectfully and maintain a positive approach during interactions. Last but not least he didn't even put my car on the tow truck bed. He asked my son to drive the car up to the flatbed. I don't think this is professional. The ladies working the front are ridiculous.I wanted clarification on the descriptions and was confused about some of the remarks on my estimate for repairs.. lol When I asked the girl with purple hair a question you woulda thought I asked her if I could buy her first born child. Was towed here by AAA and made the mistake of agreeing to have my repairs done here. Needed my front right axle replaced and an alignment after that. 100% sure they didn't do the alignment. My steering wheel can turn a good 45 degrees without moving the tires in that direction and it still pulls to the left when I drive. The mechanic, Ryan said its probably my tire pressure making my car pull... I got swindled he also charges $150/HR for labor.. You can't trust those people, not even for a AAA tow. While I was there someone had been waiting for a tow,, the chick lied and said he was on the way.. hahah the dude was walking around trying to look for a broom. The poor driver had to sit in rush-hour traffic from Chatsworth all the way to Huntington Beach. Cynthia at the office was incredible about keeping me up-to-date on exactly what was happening or when somethings going to happen. Everything went super smoothly. Just dealt with a driver "Diego" if that's even his real name. Firstly they do not provide accurate updates while you wait for roadside assistance. When this driver arrived he had an immediate nasty attitude and hastily snatched my keys and tried to drive my vehicle onto the flatbed fast, despite it having a flat tire which could've potential cracked my rim. When I asked if I could roll one of my windows up he nastily told me "I'm off the clock and it's already on the truck. You'll have to climb up and do it yourself". This driver then immediately sped off with my vehicle in which we had to follow him closely as he sped the whole way to my house! He did at least 50mph on 35mph roads. When we arrived I asked him if he could not be rough with my vehicle in which he gave me more attitude and said "I could send it back to the parking lot if you want". He still continued to remove my vehicle off the truck in a wild and savage fashion with no consideration for damaging my tire further. Reading other negative reviews, it seems that those who have had a problem with this business report the same thing I dealt with--rude staff, ridiculous level of confrontation instead of having de-escalation skills for rightfully angry customers, and a definite air of SCAM and DISHONESTY behind their business. Today I called AAA because my anti-lock brake system was acting up for some reason, and my back wheels locked up. The tow service sent out Romeo, who seems nice, but clearly had no idea what he was doing. He towed my car, dragging it on it's locked wheels, all the way to my mechanic. Romeo even admitted to me, a block away from my mechanic, that his tow truck also seemed to be running rough, and he stopped it in front if the 7-11 at Reseda & Saticoy, where he admitted to me that the wheels were dragging. At that point, I thought that maybe it had just happened and had only been dragged a few feet. When my mechanic noticed the wear on the tire, he showed it to me, and inside the tread to each side of the worn down part, there was fresh rubber damage that indicated that this definitely happened today. I called AAA, and was instructed to take it back to Northridge services for examination. I called them to let them know that I was on my way. At first the secretary tried to blow me off and say someone would call me back. Since I know what that usually means, I said nope, I'm on my way there now. When I arrived, they called Romeo, who flat -out lied and said that the car had not been dragged, and I was told to contact AAA again. When I informed the guy that they had already sent me to them, he said, "call them back, tell them I refuse, and we will call the police if you harass us anymore." All the while with their secretary filming me as if I was some sort of a criminal. I certainly raised my voice a bit when they started fighting me on the whole thing, but there is no way that I did anything that would warrant a call to the police. I absolutely cannot believe the AAA partners with companies who treat customers this badly. I have filed a formal complaint with AAA, and if that doesn't work, I have no problem taking them to small claims court. My mechanic, whom I'd visited earlier that morning for an oil change, drove my car into the auto bay at his shop, and did not notice any irregular wheel behavior. However, after I left and had the brake issue not fifteen minutes later, I IMMEDIATELY had the car towed, and suddenly--there was this wear, and a very pronounced WUMP WUMP WUMP when the car moves. So It's clear that I have some pretty good witnesses to what happened. I certainly hope that these people will choose honesty and integrity, and pay to replace my tire. read more

This place should be avoided. They were dispatched by AAA to replace the battery in my wife's Porsche and it ended terribly. After their tech replaced the battery he placed the dead battery on the ground by the drivers side front tire. Then for some absurd reason asked my wife to get out and look at the "alternator" which he indicated was in the front beneath the battery. This is a mid engine PORSCHE with alternator mounted on the motor towards the rear. My wife trips and takes a nasty fall because of the battery carelessly left on the ground. The tech did not even help my wife off up. I called and spoke to Cynthia and was told that someone named Ryan would be in touch. No word, nothing. Texted their office number and was pretty much told by whoever covers the phone, that they couldn't/wouldn't help me. I told George I could not put my vehicle in neutral, after having already including this detail in my AAA notes. He insisted I give him my key to try anyway and when I expressed confusion, he simply used his experience as the excuse for why I didn't know for sure that my car wouldn't go into neutral. I told him my battery was new and functioning and that electric components were responsive (ie locks, lights). Amber, with dispatch, kept calling me honey and threatened to discontinue services because I was being "difficult". This was in response to me stating I was uncomfortable being called honey with no personal relationship established. I expressed that my time was valuable and that I did not want to waste his either. After giving him my key (because I'd been strong-held into it or face my vehicle's continued stagnation), he tried turning my vehicle on and also jumping the battery. Neither of these actions proved effective. And when I asked if it worked, he said that he's been advised not to touch the vehicle. I've since requested service from another company and let AAA know about this incident. I wouldn't recommend this company for anyone looking for a professional or cordial technician. These people struggle with giving respect and not gaslighting potential customers. read more

I just called because I have a flat tire. The receptionist was terribly rude. I don't believe she knows what customer service skills are or has any, when asking her about the ETA of my service her attitude was overwhelming. I'm not sure if she's aware that people that are usually calling for a tow of some kind of service are usually having a horribly bad day. When asking her the ETA it went from 60 minutes to well you know what you can actually even wait up to 90 minutes. So I decided to take my 86 Mustang out and gas it up today at the ARCO on Plumber and Desoto. My front brakes had locked up and were not working correctly. I called my wife and she said she would call AAA for me, which was great because my cell phone battery was about to die. my 11 yo son and I waited over an hour. I received txt from Amber reassuring me that I would be ok. The AAA driver that responded, Israel G, refused to offer any assistance. Since my wife had made the call, from home, she was not on the scene. When the driver got there I presented my card, since my wife and I share the account, it was the same account number. After trying to explain this to Israel, he called his office and informed me he was leaving. I could not believe he would turn his back on me and my son. He was on the phone for about 5 minutes with his supervisors, apparently he was authorized to leave me and my 11 year old son stranded. read more
