I've lived in a Northridge home for 2 plus years now. Aswell as got too know the staff very well. Its hands down the nicest house I've ever lived in, and called my own. I also got a career opportunity aswell. When I say that Northridge has change my life, its not a gimmick nor lie. Kris and others have stood behind me through my addiction with booze witch i have had my whole life. He could have so easily fired me as I had zero experience and most of my work was rather trash. Now today I will be comming up on over a year and a half clean and there is almost nothing g that I cant do in this line of work. And people say" give yourself credit" and i do, but none of this would be possible or would have happened if mr. Brantley would have looked at the brand he has worked so hard to create instead of me as somone with potential who was truly lost. Needless to say its easy to be great full every morning I wake up and Northridge properties is definitely one of the biggest reasons. So if your looking to rent from a company who's just out to make a buck look elsewhere. Owner told me I could rent a building after I explained my credit was pooor due to having a baby. He told me apply anyways and then denied me. Basically stealing $25 for the fee for the application. Also was looking to place my dog grooming business and he was trying to place me underneath peoples apartments. That would have sucked for them. Obvious slumlord. read more

Where Do I Start. I Moved In July 1st And By July 3rd I Wake Up And See Our Food & Bread Had Been Eaten. I Purchase Mouse Traps ( Never Got Reimbursed ) Caught 3 1 Night & 2 Another, It Took Them 5 Days To Come And Seal Up The Holes Under The House. When I Moved In Shades Weren't New They Were Yellowish, especially Kitchen Ones I Guess From Grease. The Fridge Was Already Broken With Different Screws And Missing A Shelf. When We Called About Mice TERRY tells Us It's The Season For Mice. Lol Really ? He Then Suggest Pouring Powder All Over House Which I Refused Because I Had A New Born At The Time 1.5 Months And 19 Month Old Who Was Walking And Can Eat That Stuff Etc. They Poured Poison In House. I Tried To Move He Agreed And To Give Me Deposit Back But I Tried To Make Him Pay For A Uhaul Truck To Move Everything Why Should I Have To Pay If Me Moving Is Their Fault. He Refused And Us Just Having Moved In With 4 Kids We Just Decided To Stay Another Month To See If Issues Go Away. Come October We Found Mice Again Took Pictures & Our Friend That Was Here Dumped The Mice For Us. Same Thing Happened In December And February. Why Didn't We Call Them About Mice Well Because we've called about leaks in ceiling and one of the workers Came 4 days later! And tells us we will take care of it but it's not a top priority right now. From there on out I knew I wanted to move but when we found rat droppings in our 10 month old bed is when we said THATS IT!!!! And They Act Like They Didn't Care When We Told Them They Still Never Came To Try And patch up any holes etc. I waited towards our lease is up June 30th 2019 . So May 1st we inform them we are planning on moving and living out our deposit which is 2 months deposit they have. TERRY Told us we can break lease and move whenever we want as long as we give him at least 4 weeks and he can rent it. I'm giving him 8 weeks notice and he has nerve to try to take us to court! Listen I would stay away from this company!!! They don't care about tenants! Even their own workers complain about how they just rig stuff up this came out their mouth! So many ppl warned me about renting from them but you know we never take people's perspectives serious which I should've. I am warning you now also please stay away from this company all they want is $$$ they don't care to fix anything! And while my mom is on the phone with TERRY LUTHER he started screaming at her and yelling, which we recorded so we can play it to the judge! We also have all the rat dropping pictures etc. we took our daughter to hospital she was sick, the hospital out here in Dixon sucks also! They couldn't figure out if it was because she ate some of the droppings in her crib. But believe us we have proof of everything I Have More Pictures But I Don't Want To Post Everything On here I'll Save For Court. PLEASE BE ADVISED WHEN RENTING FROM THIS COMPANY ALL THEY WANT IS $$$ And It Will Take You Calling Them Non Stop To Try And Fix Something! **UPDATE** After them reading my review they've tried to turn off water in the house. I've payed water bill every 3 months and my last payment was last month. So basically they're trying to mess with me to get me out faster. But that won't Work TERRY LUTHER Wants To Play Hard Ball Than I Can Do That! I'm From Chicago Living Without Water Is Nothing Theirs Ways Around That. New owners who actually treat tenants and maintenance properly. Kris is a really nice and understanding property manager and the maintenance and staff are clvery knowledgeable and courteous. Neighbors seem to keep to themselves for the most part, but but are friendly. Great view and somewhat secluded. Quiet and relaxing. These are the most lazy landlord's that I've ever met. I moved in a year and a half ago. While unpacking to put kitchen stuff away I open the drawer by the refrigerator and found cockroaches. To further investigate I pulled out refrigerator and found a bigger mess. They painted a cockroach to the wall. I called Terry the Apt. manger he came over looked around then put something down to kill them. That didn't work so maintenance cane and put a jel around baseboards. One month later they are still here. I used my own stuff and got rid of them after 3 month battle. This July called because fuse box would not reset and it was about 97 degrees that day. Nobody came over or even called to see if it was fixed. The plug in behind the stove shorted out and blew out main fuse at the meter outside. Had a friend fix that. read more

Worst landlord I have ever experienced. One of the units I lived in had about five leaks in the ceiling. Never fixed them for over a month so I moved and as I moved they would replace the ceiling tiles after it rained and showed the apartment and hid all of the damage that was above the tiles. Huge scam artists. They ignore your maintenance calls and I have paid hundreds of dollars for bills due to them ignoring issues with the unit I lived in. Save yourself the hassle and try and find somewhere else to live. read more

Reported a leak in October 2018. They finally looked at it (after MULTIPLE phone calls) in January 2019. They put plaster over it several times and were surprised when it kept leaking. Finally reshingled part of the roof in March 2019 (didn't do anything about the mold/moisture already in the attic). It continued to leak, and now (April 2019) has bubbles in the wall. They have a reputation among landlords and realtors as the "slumlords of Dixon." Do not rent from them. read more
