(He's either the owner or needs a day off bc he's always there) always greets you as you walk in. The staff is very helpful and seems fairly knowledgeable when I've had questions. Quick check out lines. Easy returns. They have a full Hallmark Card store inside as well as various local makers items. They also host a delicious privately owned hot dog stand every day in the parking lot. The gentleman who runs the stand is also extremely nice and backs his product 100%. The only thing this location lacks is a good garden center with plants. If it had that I wouldn't go to any other hardware store. Highly recommend NW Ace!

Kadence worked closely with Lowe's installation team to ensure all materials were acquired to complete the job and scheduled at our convenience. She is highly dedicated to providing outstanding customer support. Highly recommend working with Kadence on all of your flooring projects for terrific results!

I contracted Lowes for a tile installation in my house …read more They subcontracted Service Pro. The contract was signed in early August . The installation was supposed to be done over the paseos of two days . The appointment was set for 8 am . I received a call around 9:30am saying the installer had an emergency and was on his way . At 11:30 am the installer arrived . He proceeded with the removal and installation of the tiles in our foyer. By 5:00pm he declared the job completed and that there was no need for him to return the next day . He said the floor could be walked on . Because this is not my first tile installation experience, I knew you had to wait for the grout to dry. As of the next day, the grout was chipping off. I observed it for a couple of days and it kept happening. I reported to Lowe's and they after a call with Service Pro, sent an inspector. ( that took another 1.5 week) Tbe inspector agreed the grout needed to be repaired in a few places . Today I received a call saying Service Pro is not available until Nov. 6. I informed them that is totally unacceptable. 5 weeks from the saying inspection and 8 weeks from when the tiles were installed. Lowes's flooring department had no answers today when I called and Service Pro just said they have a lot of tiles being installed. I will never contract Lowe's or Service Pro . You get what you pay for . Cheaper installation and mediocre service and quality . Not worth the aggravation.

Since it was my very first time shopping there I was invited to become a member, downloaded their app, and did so and the keys ended costing me almost nothing for using a coupon one of their helpful employee gave me. But what I remember the most is how well I was treated. Since then I enjoy visiting their stores for most of my hardware needs. After being awarded the NC Triad Yelp Squad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last year, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, celebrating their contributions and accomplishments throughout the year, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and businesses, and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And this ACE Hardware Store on 2303 Williamson Rd NE, in Roanoke, Virginia, is a perfect example. ACE ultimate goal is "to be the most helpful hardware store for customers, offering quality products and convenient shopping experiences with expert advice." Through personal experience I have found out that their employees go the extra mile for its customers. And they have such a variety of products, that throughout the Seasons I like visiting the store because you never know what you'll find there. Anything from pumpkins to local honey during this time of the year. As a matter of fact, the other day I had to make a gift of local honey, and here is precisely where I found it. As soon as I walked in a friendly young lady greeted me, welcomed me to their store, and made herself available to help me find anything I needed or was looking for. I could see why their slogan "ACE is the place with the helpful hardware folks," was very true indeed. As I walked through the store I was amazed at all the different products they had in such a limited amount of space compared to places like Home Depot and Lowe's. And their prices if you add the excellent service you get are not bad at all. The service they provide is extraordinary. I read in one of their ads that if you purchase one of their large barbeque grills they will go out to your house and put it together. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place and give them a visit. It is by supporting local stores like these that we can show our appreciation for their service and the great contribution they make to our community.
