I have purchased three sets of tires from our local DT in Roanoke. Each time has been a great experience. Buying tires used to feel overwhelming and confusing to me. The guys at our DT make it seem much less difficult and do not pressure you. They gladly helped me this time with a warranty replacement on my stock tires which required them calling the manufacturer. They did this without complaining and advocated for me. Their prices are very competitive compared to other online stores. I would suggest making an appointment online and this will make your time spent most efficient. You can even purchase your tires online and schedule at time for them to be installed if you know what tire you want for your vehicle. I will add that while out of town recently, we had a tire pressure warning light come on and we stopped in a DT in Myrtle Beach area. This location was equally helpful and kind. Terrible ways of doing things. While they may seem to have good customer service, they don't honor their tire rotations when you buy tires from them. Brought old car in and asked for the free tire rotation where it's done X number of miles, and the person prescreens you with a question "are you here just for a tire rotation today?" While he inspects the tires, later returns and says he can't because there's a check engine light on - which has nothing to do with rotation of tires, and i had to go elsewhere to rotate the tires. Number of miles already hit for their service, bought tires from them and was in their system, but it's an unscrupulous way to deny you your tire rotation service, and it was the 2nd time that i had a rotation with them, guess the first is to lure you in. Terrible business that doesn't honor rotations when they feel like it, when you get this treatment then you'll know, until then you may think they're good and experts. No, experts and professionals do not act like this. But while they check you in by inspecting your vehicle, they act like they're going to do the included service with your tire rotation, but they ask prescreening questions during the so called chit chat in the beginning. Tire rotations for an old car have nothing to do with a check engine light. They told me come back in maybe a few months we can't do it today until that check engine light is cleared. Tens minutes in line and I have yet to be acknowledged or tended to. There's one person in the lobby and no one else. It's an uphill drive that's pretty steep to get in the lot with plenty of parking. It's my fault. It's the end of the day and I should have made an appointment. Was told this is a new location working with a skeleton crew. None the less, I was in and out in no time once they got to me and all is good. Would get 5 Stars if they had a full crew working. Got new tires back in Nov. 2025 and noticed how extremely loud they were and they basically Sucked the gas out of the tank. I let the tires roll giving them a grace period thinking that new tires can be loud - according to the internet. Keep in mind, their website said these were the best and I had already had this brand. I spent close to $1,000 seeing as I went back in Dec. 2025 for tire balance and alignment - thinking that would help the problem. At this appointment, one worker - who I've seen there before - told me that if it didn't help or work this time that they'd replace at no charge. Again, the tires were, and still are, loud. I called back and got someone new on the phone and they said they wouldn't do that. They said that I can send them back, but would still have to "shell out a couple hundred dollars". As having years of experience in customer service, it is critical that workers and the company present a united front - sending the same message. And normally, when one says they will replace, you don't back out of that. I had spent close to $1,000 there alone and had been back multiple times for these tires giving me issues. I still am unhappy with these tires. It makes me not want to drive my vehicle. I wrote down the employees' names but I did not want to put them on blast on here. I am disappointed. read more

I've been to their Americas Tire locations many times before I moved from the west coast to the east coast and the service is just as good. I like that it's fast, efficient, clean, and the employees and techs are knowledgeable and to the point. They don't try to hard sell you on anything. It's convenient, quick and worth it. read more

Discount Tire is definitely 5 stars but I posted a review on the Cave Spring, VA store in September 2024 and it is no longer there. I had a bad experience with Justin. This triggered a response from some higher up who wanted all the details and asked me to contact them through a link. Naw, I said my piece and it apparently got taken care of so I'm done with it. I'm guessing that since I didn't follow through for 'making it right', they removed the review. I'd still give DT 5 stars because they have always been the best but where did my review go? I stopped in today to give them a chance and let them see if they could see why my tire was losing air. From the moment I walked in I was made to feel welcome and the waiting area was clean and I was able to work while they looked at my vehicle. They found the nail and came out and explained everything to me and thanked me for my business. They also even cleaned my tires. I will definitely be back. read more

I was traveling through Roanoke, in cold rain. Drove over something on I580. Was very quickly losing air in my tire. I stopped in here and not only we're they super helpful and friendly, they allowed me to wait inside with my two small dogs instead of freezing out I in the cold rain. May not seem like much, but when your traveling alone, not every business is as friendly. They were a god send.
