When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and asked if we were looking for something in particular. We were then efficiently walked over to the aisle housing screwdrivers and told about the different options. They were locked in a case, so we would've needed a staff member's help anyway. Apparently people like to steal screwdrivers, which I never would've guessed. Prices seemed fair, but to be transparent, I don't generally buy tools so I don't really know the going rates. Check out was just as efficient with a couple lines in operation. And the cashier was just as friendly as the staff member working the floor. Everyone was properly masked and social distancing was taking place as well. I would suggest supporting this small business and those like it prior to going to the big box stores.

The store is much less overwhelming than the big box hardware stores and the employees were SO helpful. I really enjoyed my experience there, which I never thought I'd say about a hardware store. I love the jumble and assortment of stuff here, and it's much more of an adventure than going to Home Depot. I find little sink stoppers and screens for my bathroom and kitchen that I can't get anywhere else, but I always end up picking up something on a whim, like candles. They have the odd gift item stocked right beside the really functional hardware stuff. I bought my Sterno stove kit, which really comes in handy in the winter, since Church Hill almost always loses power at least two or three times during the season. Can't live without my morning mud!

I have been going here for several years to buy as much as I can to support a smaller business. I bought a $10 tube of JB Weld from here in March, came home used the JB weld as I've always used JB weld only it didn't set up. Naturally, I had to scrape it off of my pipes so I could figure out the next solution. I even gave it 24 hours, but it had the consistency of wet Play-Doh. So I brought the package back to the store and explained what happened and honestly expected to get a no questions asked store credit or something. Instead, the man proceeded to read the entire package and asked me to bring back the gooey mess. I came home and dug through my trash, but it had already been picked up by the garbage company. It's laughable to me that people lack this much common sense. I have made my last purchase here. I hope the four dollars or whatever profit you made on this was worth it. I have attached pictures of what I was able to find in my trash when I got home as well as the pipe with all of the defective product removed from it. With any luck at least 20 more people will read this review and choose to go to Lowe's instead. Update: I found the used product wadded up in paper towels but won't bother going back to the store.

Came there specifically to have a key duplicated. No one at the desk. No problem, I'll wait. Employee walks by and sees me standing there and was going to keep walking so I decided to ask her if she can help me. Immediately, not a great attitude. Did not catch her name but pretty sure her name tag had "manager" on it. She had that way of talking that just signals they are irritated to be helping you. So she doesn't have the needed blank (which I understand) and decides to try to make a "custom" key for me, which I appreciate. She hands it to me and says she thinks it will work but it's custom made. Ok, I get it. This is where my annoyance increases. I said I'd like a total of three duplicate keys. She refused to make the other two. She said there's no point in making them if I'm not sure if they are going to work. Sure there is....I live an hour away, I tell her, so I'd like to get the keys now. Nope, she refused again. So if the keys work, I'm all set. If they don't work, I'm out $6 to $8. Under her way, if the keys work, I am supposed to make another 1 hour round trip to have 2 more made? Why not just make them? She apologized for how far I lived away and said....there's no point in making them if I'm not sure they are going to work. I'm a bit stunned at this outright refusal to sell the customer what they are asking for. I guess the customer is not always right at this store. It was clear she just didn't want to spend 5 more minutes making two more keys. It was quite annoying. I do not plan to return to this store.

Since I didn't need it immediately I decided to price check around, Ace being my second stop. I spoke with the owner who helped me look for the item. Turns out, they didn't have/sell this (non-standard) item. Instead of saying, I'll order it or go somewhere else, he says, I have one at home, you can borrow it and return it when you are finished. This man doesn't know anything but my name but generously gave me one of his personal home items to use for my one time job. Thanks to ACE for saving me $89 and still allowing me to get my home project done. It truly is the friendly neighborhood store. On a side note, they have a great selection of home items, natural cleaning products, gifts, yeti coolers and adorable bird houses.

Before I even interacted with him, there was a guy with no name tag on the other side of the counter in front of the register, so close I could have tapped his shoulder, who completely ignored me for several minutes. Eventually, Terry came around the corner and asked if I was being helped. I said no, I just need a duplicate key. I followed him to the other side of the island and gave him the house key I was having copied. No sooner had I handed him the key then he took a personal call on his cell phone. He was on his cell phone the entire time the key was being made. I was flabbergasted because given the white ponytail hanging out of his hat, I judged him well old enough to have customer service ingrained in him, but this old-head Terry showed less respect to me as the customer than the average 15 year-old employee I see bagging groceries. He slipped the new key into the bag and handed it to me with no break in his phone conversation. As I walked away, I decided to compare my key with the duplicate Terry had just made. The match was COMICALLY different. My biggest regret is that I didn't snap a picture of it for this review, but suffice to say there's no way the duplicate key would've opened the deadlock I need it for. That's actually very concerning because I'm relying on this duplicate to let me in to someone else's home to feed their cats while they're out of town. The wrong key would make it impossible to feed them. I went back to Terry and he was still on his personal phone call. Seeing me again, he wrapped up with "I love you" which confirms the nature of this call, and gave me the undivided attention that would have spared a revisit in the first place. I held the two keys together and told him I was skeptical the key he had just made would work. He took the keys in his hand, agreed and cut me a new key. When not on the phone, what do you know? he was able to make an identical duplicate. The key was just over five dollars, which feels like a fine value. The only reason I'm doing two stars not one is because Kelly was so great welcoming everyone in and checking out at the register.

It has all the holiday lighting you may need too. We like to buy a 6-7 ft tree that is about $70. I usually come to Lowe's for house plants. In the past, they have given discounts on dying plants. Like most Lowe's, this place is huge. It's right on Broad street and has a huge free parking lot out front. The people who work here are always kind and willing to help. I am writing about the egregious, heinous substandard customer service and disregard I have…read morereceived from Lowe's Delivery call center whose number is 804-406-6100, the management at Lowe's store located at 4551 S. Laburnum Avenue, Henrico VA (Sandston location), and their delivery company. The complete lack of competence, professionalism, rudeness, ignorance and sheer utter ineptitude I have endured from the Lowe's staff, delivery driver, and customer service is something that is unmatched. I have endured 3 days of lost work accommodating 3 failed deliveries by Lowe's and I demand to be reimbursed for half the cost of the dryer due to my lost work, and incompetence of the Lowe's staff and delivery drivers. On July 23, 2026, I went into the store located at 4551 S. Laburnum Avenue, Henrico VA and ordered a washer and dryer. I also ordered the installation parts for both the washer and dryer to be installed into my home. See the attached receipt. On July 26, 2026, the delivery driver bought the washer and dryer to my home, but the dryer was missing a part on the dryer that prevented installation. Lowe's lacked due diligence in checking and ensuring that all parts were attached to the dryer to ensure a smooth installation. This was a fault of Lowe's in lacking due diligence to ensure that the needed parts were attached to the dryer. Lowe's sent a damaged dryer to me. The delivery driver returned the dryer. I called Lowe's at 804-406-6100 and talked to a very rude lady who insisted that it was not the fault of Lowe's. This is an unimaginable lack of accountability she displayed in debating with me back and forth for about 10 minutes as to why this is not the fault of Lowe's. This here, was a flagrant display of unprofessionalism. As the customer, I am entitled to receive the product I purchased, and if I am purchasing it from Lowe's, I expect Lowe's to deliver a functional, new product. This went completely over her head, and her mindset does not entitle her to work in any customer service capacity. The person I talked to processed the return as an exchange, instead of redelivery. By processing the return of the dryer as an exchange instead of a redelivery, she blocked the redelivery of the installation parts that accompanied the dryer to be installed on the next day, July 27, 2026. Additionally, the delivery dryer that had delivered the dryer on the previous day, July 26, 2026, failed to leave the installation parts at my home after I told him to, and after he became aware that a dryer will be delivered the next day. So again, on July 27, 2026 a rude, unruly delivery driver delivered the dryer without the installation parts. I fault both Lowe's and the delivery dryer, because within the context of his duties, he should be aware that a dryer needs to be installed and that a dryer without being installed is completely useless. This driver failed to ensure that he had all the necessary parts to install this dryer by calling me ahead or checking with the store. When I exposed his lack of diligence, he threatened to take the dryer back to the store without my agreement and lied on me saying that I said I did not want a dryer. The delivery dryer is a complete and utter liar, to which I had to call the police because at that point, it would have been theft to return the dryer without my consent, since I had purchased the dryer and it was within my possession. The delivery driver that came to my house on July 27, 2026 asked me to show him my receipt confirming that I purchased the installation parts only to refuse to install the dryer using his emergency hardware, that he is obligated to carry with him. I do not believe the driver had the emergency parts in his possession, but regardless of whether he had the emergency parts or just blatantly refused to install the dryer, he breached his obligation of delivering and installing the dryer at my home on July 27, 2026. Egregious Service! During this chaos, again I called Lowe's customer service at 804-406-6100 and told him the situation. He instructed the delivery driver to install the dryer with his emergency tools. The driver refused. After the driver refused to do my installation, the representative at Lowe's again rescheduled delivery on 7/28/2026 again without INCLUDING THE INSTALLATION PARTS IN THE REDELIVERY ORDER. Thus, on the 3rd day, there would have been another delivery WITHOUT THE PARTS. This is a complete waste of my time and utter disregard for my time, causing me to be off work to accommodate this foolishness. EVERYONE INVOLVED DISPLAYED A SEVERE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND COMPETENCE, EXHIBITED RUDENESS AND UTTER DISREGARD FOR MY TIME. On July 27, 2026, I called the Lowe's dispatch at the number above and discovered that the installation parts were not, once again, included in the delivery order scheduled on July 28, 2026.
