Had this lady taken the time to browse around, you might have found some good prices. As for the little old lady, she was talking to it may have been Mrs Williams I assume, the owner. She wore a hearing aides. Had the lady slowed down, you would have found this lady to be one smiling happy lady who would have been happy to help you with good prices. I am not related to the Williams in any way so my review is covering a span of 50 years off an on an my father bought all of his electrical needs when he built his apartments. Nope, the 2nd time not only was it blazing hot, but the people working the sales floor was plain rude. The 3rd and last time I went I brought the person with The Wallet . we went up to the sales counter where an old women was standing with her head down. After 5 minutes we said Excuse me? She never even looked up. I would have thought her dead but the phone rang and she answered it! She looked right at us! So since then we have found companies who actually want our money. Tried to straighten it but the socket came loose and I could not reattach it. Did want to further damage it because I am not the most cleaver D-I-Y repairman so on Monday, Susan started researching local Lamp Shops who also did Lamp repair. She found Lamp and Home Outlet in Lincolnton and we made arrangement to drop the Lamp Off. First a bit about the Lamps, the Lamp was one of a pair that my wife had purchased on out Honeymoon in Myrtle Beach in what would be 28 years next month. About as touristy as you can get. Large Glass Body in the shape of a shell in turn filled with colored seashells. The value was not in the lamp but rather in the memories. On Monday, had a Dr's appointment in the am but missed the fact that their hours are 10am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday. I was working on Tuesday so drove over on Wednesday Morning. Kind of hard to miss in that it's a rather in descript build painted blue and grey with a Marine Motif. The gentleman took one look at it and exclaimed, "I haven't seen one of these in years" and explained that the company who made the glass shell had been out of business for well over 10 years. Gave us two estimates depending on what needed to be done and both were reasonable. Susan followed up on Monday and it was ready and the total repair cost was $30.00. Note that only take cash or checks. No Credit or Debit Cards. Picked it up this morning and they did a beautiful job. The have been in this building for 47 years and they were the original owners. Looking over the showroom, great selections of lamps and accessories at very reasonable prices. Good craftsmanship on all. Will be back when we have more time to explore and pickup a lamp or two. Very punctual and very honest in their dealing. Those are traits I appreciate.

I have noticed, and employees have confirmed, to avoid the "harbor freight" brand items the quality is not so great. But their old Chicago brand stuff work great I've had several hand tools for almost 15 years that still work. Not sure what they've switch to these days. Great selection of items they never disappoint. They've added power washer stuff now too which is a very fun project to get into. I see someone with a 1 star review, but I can't say I'm surprised by the way that person gives Every business they encounter a 1 star review...sad how some people are here just to vent their frustration and not give local businesses a fair and impartial review. Check this place out for yourself to see the truth in the middle. My only concern with this location is the employees are not always so friendly and will actively avoid customers lol. So your best bet to getting assistance is asking the cashier. Oh they have great starter tools that are plug in, in case you're looking for good quality tool that won't break the bank.
