The photos do not do this place justice. Staff is super friendly and they say hello as you walk by and make you feel welcome. Rooms, are clean and cozy. We got the standard king and it was really nice. The grounds are immaculate, and beautiful. The pool is heated and we never couldn't find lounge chairs. The dock by the lake does get a bit busy if you don't get there after breakfast, but we still got chairs. There was a wait for the kayaks, but only because there aren't enough paddles. Breakfast is delicious and it was a good mix of fresh, healthy and with a few sugary goodies like donuts and muffins. It's a really wonderful, relaxing and quiet adult only resort.

A literal slice of heaven. The best money I have ever spent, the best hotel I've ever been to. I…read morewent with my partner for our anniversary last weekend and was immediately floored by the views. The hospitality was so welcoming (shoutout to Melissa and David my angels), calm, sweet, and helpful. The grounds are gorgeous, the lobby beautifully designed and cozy, and the rooms gorgeous (floating stone slab bedside table yes pleeeasssee!) The complimentary breakfast was so yummy and had so many healthy options. The beach was lovely, the bikes were so fun, and everyone kept a quiet atmosphere that was serene but not strict. I'm from Los Angeles and have travelled all over Europe--this resort took the cake for my most relaxing experience. I WILL be returning as often as I can. Thank you thank you THANK you! I never write yelp reviews but this place was so dang good I feel called to share!

I was a little apprehensive at first after hearing that it is both a salon and hotel, and reading some of the negative reviews about the condition of the rooms. I can only speak to our stay and our room which were both very nice. The room is contemporary, huge, and with well appointed furniture and fixtures. The place looks to have been updated sometime in the recent past, and was impeccably cleaned. I cannot think of a more central location to stay either. Walk out the suite's door and you are a minute away from shopping and dining options. The only downside, and it may be a big deal for late risers, is that suite 7 has a skylight located directly over the bed and does not have a means for closing it. I threw a T-shirt over my eyes and was fine, and my wife was up before it could even bother her. If this is a big issue than you may want to shop their other suites, which also look nice from the online pictures. We will stay at this hotel again in our next visit to Saugatuck.

Since we had a far drive to the location, I reached out to the staff via Booking's messenger. The communication between the staff and I was beyond easy and seamless, on top they were very accommodating. Once we arrived, we checked in, which the staff was beyond sweet and helpful, great hospitality. The resort is in a prime location, extremely easy and quick to get to the downtown area, state parks, and the interstate highways - cannot complain. The room was cozy but a tiny bit dirty, I did find hair in the shower and on sheets at arrival. When we arrived at the room, we had a small roll of toilet paper but the next day the housekeeper made sure to leave two new rolls. The bed was comfortable and there was no noise, the walls are thick. The one thing I did not like, when we left the windows and doors closed but when we returned the cleaning left a window open, that is a big no for me. It pleasant they offer complimentary breakfast, but it is not your average breakfast of bacon, eggs, potatoes, and toast. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and how seamless the process was to check in and out. I would recommend this place to those visiting the area for the weekend.

From the moment we entered, we received the kindest of hospitality. Scott, the innkeeper, provided us with so much wonderful information on things to do, where to eat and was kind in addressing any of our needs. We had a "romance" package which included wine, $50 credit to a restaurant and chocolate. The room was cozy with a faux fire place and a room overlooking some trees and down to the water. As for the breakfast (ALSO INCLUDED), it was amazing. Scott outdid himself with the quality of breakfast and service. I cannot recommend this place enough. We will be going back. T

The best. THE BEST!…read more Love Beechwood Manor! Stayed here a few weeks ago for my birthday weekend when I found a special online for 2 nights plus one one hour free in-room massage, gift certificate to a restaurant in downtown Saugatuck, and of course the two complimentary brekkies (being that it's a B&B, of course) for $388. Such a steal! The house itself is lovely. Built in the 1870s and renovated a bit but still keeping that Victorian charm. A comfy downstairs sitting area, and cozy dining room and another kitchenette area with a fridge (stocked with complimentary sodas and water), water pot for tea, hot chocolate, etc, and coffee. Oh yay! We stayed in Enid, the largest of the rooms. Very spacious with a sitting area of two chairs and a table, a couple of nightstands, a chest of drawers, a queen sized bed (very comfy and cozy), a fireplace, a small cable tv and dvd player, and cd/radio. It was actually really nice to unplug a bit so we didn't really watch any tv but it was there if you need it. Instead we mostly just lounged around listening to classical music on the radio and Prairie Home Companion. Fit the feel of the room nicely! The adjoining bathroom is a good size too with a lovely and deep clawfoot bathtub (that I definitely took a soak in. AHHH so nice!) and a separate shower. Complimentary bathrobes added to the cozy feeling and the windows had a lovely view for just perching and looking outside. Add that to the most amazing massage ever (seriously, one of the best I've ever had and I'm hard to please) and I walked out of there feeling completely rested and rejuvenated. The hosts/owners, Sal and Gregg are just lovely. Really friendly and chatty, I felt like an honored guest. And they are no slouches in the kitchen, either! Our breakfasts were DELICIOUS. The first day I had the eggs benedict (although the smell of the waffles sure were intoxicating!) and the next morning I had the sweet potato pancakes which I had to force myself to stop eating because they were so tasty but oh so filling! The grounds are lovely and I can't wait to come back in warmer weather for a sit on the porch looking at the trees and Kalamazoo river peaking through (while their super friendly kitty Oscar rubs against your ankles--but don't worry cat allergy folks, kitty does not come into the guest quarters. We only saw him chillin' outside). If you've never been to a B&B I highly recommend starting with Beechwood Manor. Although it's likely any others you visit may not live up!
