We occupied the ninth floor. I loved the location. I'd take the GO train from Markham down to Union Station, and take the PATH briefly to Brookfield Place. There are a bunch of elevators that don't all go up to the same floors. You need to find the floor interval that suits where you want to go. If you are a visitor, Brookfield Place is beautiful. I remember taking a couple of Swedish colleagues to a Toronto Maple Leafs game and we passed by my old workplace. The Hockey Hall of Fame is located in Brookfield Place. I suggested that they go, as they were huge hockey fans like I am. They went the following day and absolutely loved it. My love for Starbucks is due to working at Brookfield Place. I'd drop downstairs to get a drink and take a breather. It's convenient to do a bit of shopping or grab a bite to eat. There's a food court where there are many fast food eateries. I'm sure they have changed since I was last there. There is also a Longo's Market. I'd often get cubed fruit, such as watermelon and cantaloupe, that was easy to eat at my desk to keep me content throughout the afternoon. There used to be a Marche, where you can choose from sandwiches and hot meals. I don't think it's there anymore, but it was awesome. The top floor is where you get to see the high glass ceiling and gorgeous architecture. I didn't appreciate it when I worked here because it was a fairly crazy time in my life working full-time and doing a master's degree part-time. However, when I have returned as a visitor, be it during Nuit Blanche or when I'm heading to Scotiabank Arena, I appreciate how beautiful the crystal cathedral of commerce is. My favourite memory will always be lining up with a few colleagues to get a free heart rate monitor on the first floor of Brookfield Place. We enjoyed missing a bit of work, chatting with one other, and getting a health gift in return. I gave mine to my parents and they still use it to this day. I miss Brookfield Place and the various giveaways that take place. I don't miss the job that I had or the stress that I had experienced. Luckily, I do get to drop by whenever I'm attending a concert. This is also connected to the underground path network which has a few connections to the main walkways. transit options are union ttc subway station and the 504 king streetcar (both the A and B versions, in both directions) , both options come with a bit of a walk, as this is down on college away from both the station and the surface stop. parking is in the area, but it would be above or below private lots with a bit of a walk. love coming here, even if its random, or out of the blue.

No labels, no directions, no advertising. Why??? The views are nonexistent but it feels very pleasant to sit there and enjoy the sun, the breeze, and the running water fountain. The corner area of the "L" almost seems covered but it's not and some of the stores here are more specialty shops it seems rather than regular strip mall type stores. Sure, you have a convenience store, a Baskin Robbins and even a Loblaws but a Laura Secord and even a jewelry store? Those seem more like they should be in an indoor mall. There's a Cob's bakery there too, bread is always good. There's professional offices I believe on the Cob's side of the mall and there's also an indoor portion on the north side. Parking here is a little hard. It always seems on any given day that the parking here especially in the U part of the mall is always packed. There's more parking on the south side as well as along the Kingsway. I come here only about once a year and that's to get my ice cream cake at Baskin Robbins for my birthday otherwise this place is sort of out of the way for where I live.

One section at the south end covered like a mall, but open at one end. This sort of mall design might work in Florida, but it's not too inviting around here in January. Anyway, there are a few interesting stores at Humbertown, like Cobb's Bread and Alex Farm Products, and there's a Blockbuster and an LCBO out on the periphery. There are a number of doctors and other professional services, which reinforces the fact that this is a useful mall if you're coming for a specific purpose, but it's not necessarily built for browsing.

When I moved back to the greater Toronto area (GTA), I spent a lot of time at Kennedy Commons. It was a cool plaza with businesses that I loved. The best part of it was an AMC that had twenty theatres. Movie prices were cheap. I got free popcorn every so often. The seats were comfy. I loved the entire movie experience. I was sad when AMC left the GTA. This AMC in Scarborough was demolished. Although I still enjoy going to the movies, it's not the same. Businesses have come and gone over last couple of decades. I used to grab dinner with a friend after taking in a movie. We'd head over to Casey's Bar and Grill. A burger. A Diet Coke. Apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Such fond memories! Sunset Grill and Meridian Credit Union now occupy that spot. The former is a winner if you love breakfast items, but closes at 3 pm every day. I never shopped at Mr Big & Tall. It has since been replaced by Hakka Boyz and Dosa Boyz. Well, it's still on the guy side of things, I guess. Two other businesses that I loved were Cafe Mirage and Chapters. The former had good desserts and yummy food. I frequented it often. I miss Chapters. I have fond memories spending a lazy Sunday afternoon checking out books and having a drink at Starbucks. It shuttered for good in January 2024. Sears. Sears Whole Home. George Richards. Mr Greek. Golf Town. Rona. Made in Japan. Rest in plaza peace. These days, I'm fortunate that I have a bunch of stores at Kennedy Commons that I love: - Sunset Grill - Jollibee - Foody World - Metro - Michaels - Kinton Ramen New to the list is McDonald's that I frequented today. It's got a two-lane drive-thru. Yummy food. Fast and friendly service. Awesome! The Jollibee is the closest one to my home. Pineapple drink. Peach mango pie. Filipino spaghetti. Burger steaks. It's all good. The Foody World is awesome. Yummy frozen treats. Snacks. There's a CoCo bubble tea and a food court. The Metro used to be open 24 hours. It's now scaled back to a 10 pm closing time. Staff have always been super helpful. I remember coming here a few days after experiencing horrible food poisoning. I had enough strength to get broth and salted crackers at 9:30 pm. It felt so good having solid food again, albeit bland. I also got raw honey and celery after a long day. Markham lost its Michaels store years ago. This one is the closest one to me. It has everything that I need, from yarn to calligraphy ink. Kinton Ramen is delightful. I've always dined in. Staff are attentive. The ramen and gyoza are yummy. I also like the pig mirror in the washroom. I like this plaza a lot. Business turnovers are high, but I have fond memories of special businesses that I frequented and miss while establishing new ones that I love. (116)

I frequent this mall because it has easy access to Hwy 401 at Kennedy Road. This is especially advantageous if you exit eastbound Hwy 401 which allows direct access into Kennedy Commons. It's a breeze compared to travelling northbound on Kennedy Rd from Ellesmere Rd. Many business choices here including my favourites which I have posted separate reviews for; a super Metro store, a huge Foody World, plus all the other notables of Petsmart, LCBO, Jolibee, Kitchen Stuff Plus, and Chapters to name a few. It's a zoo atmosphere with parking but you can shop and dine all day without leaving this property.

A con for this mall is the transit is now outside the mall on one of the side roads. When the LRT used to be open there was a bus bay there the buses used to stop. So for transit users this mall isn't as convenient as it used to be. This mall is best for those who have a car.

There's an Ikea city store and Urban Behavior clearance store with all items $10 or less. This new information kiosk is kind of cool. Its setup like a smartphone with widgets. If you are looking to do some Xmas shopping this holiday season then definitely come here. The food offerings here are excellent as well. They got a huge food court with lots of delicous food offerings across the globe. You want more of a dine in experience? Visit Moxies, Jack Astors, Scaddabush, Milestones, Hibachi, etc. The washrooms here need more TLC. The cleaning staff need to clean more frequently to make it a more pleasant shopping experience.

The food court has a few options although a lot of them have similar dishes and are really fighting to be the restaurant of choice with the low prices. If you're sitting at two tables that are stuck together and aren't using one side, don't be surprised if someone asks if they can pull the table apart to sit next to you. There is a TV on each side of the food court depending on which way you're facing and it appears to always be set to Fairchild. The food court has notices that guests are restricted to a 60 minute sitting time. I've never been there that long so I'm not sure if it's enforced. I do always see maintenance wiping the tables and cleaning the trays so the tables are pretty comfortable. This little plaza really has everything you need!

Especially on a hot summer afternoon, a lot of seniors are hanging around watching TV: CP 24, TSN and Chinese program... and enjoying the AC!
