The dining area is filled with art, some of which was created by a family member of the owner. The drawings are for sale also. There is a small selection of jewelry and souvenirs for sale as well. Toward the back there is an upright piano a couple guitars which belong to the children who will sometimes come out and play. They have a complete breakfast menu and several lunch items. The café is only open until 2pm so the menu leans toward breakfast. Coffee, cappuccino, lattes, and hot chocolate are their specialties. Everything is made from scratch in that delicious home cooked style. as the previous review stated, the hash browns are great. A must have here. We were there early on a Saturday morning in February and were the only customers. We got to know the owner and the history of the coffee house. They are super friendly. The wait time may be a little longer than you'd expect from a large restaurant because they only have 1 cook. If that turns out to be the case let me tell you it's worth the wait. I would list this as one of my favorite breakfast places.

Note: smash cakes are usually for first birthday parties so the kiddo can destroy a cake and everyone else gets to actually eat cake, but they're also the perfect size to give to a person who lives alone! I don't think my grandma understands what smash cakes are, but she certainly wasn't aware that was the original intent of her cake--chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and salted caramel buttercream.
