I'm so impressed with this place! I've only come for the Cryo, so can only speak to that so far, but I'm so impressed with my experiences regarding the Cryo (and the facility, which is clean and well-run) that I will probably make an appointment with a PT at some point to see if there's something I can do for my carpal tunnel in addition to the Cryo.
Okay, so Cryo: it's awesome! In my years-long search for something to relieve my carpal tunnel/repetitive motion syndrome (NOT surgery, though...eek, I want to stay away from the knife!), I've tried everything (except surgery). A friend heard about Cryo (you can see I love it judging from the fact that I capitalize it like it's a proper noun) and suggested it. It is super for inflammation (which of course is what carpal is, and it starts way up the arm and shoulders, is not just in the wrist).
Don't be afraid to get chilly, y'all! It works with your body's natural responses to make you feel great. I love natural stuff that, even if it doesn't directly help what ails you, can't hurt you, and might give you some useful secondary gains.
So I've had three sessions so far and already feel some relief, but I also just love Cryo in general (it's helped a wonky knee I have at the same time...cool). I feel relaxed after, as if I had a really great massage (and Cryo is only 3 mins, so it's very efficient in terms of time management).
And a special shout-out and massive burst of applause for Crystal, who is, no joke, the most interpersonally-gifted person I've ever met!!! She makes the three mins in the tank go by in a flash. She is exceptionally kind and knowledgeable and warm and funny and just all-around awesome. She truly knows her stuff AND she's a super human being, traits which don't always end up in the same person, as we all know. I just can't say enough good things about her, but when you meet her, you'll totally see what I mean.
So for many reasons, including all of the above, I am very grateful to have found North Star, and I feel lucky that it's practically around the corner from me. Bring on the chill! read more
