Details: Envision Imaging is conveniently located on Plano Pkwy near Marsh Lane. Gorgeous and sparkling clean medical office building. I had an MRI and CT Scan this week at Envision Imaging. Nurse was professional, a good communicator, friendly, and cheerful. It is wonderful to have a nurse who smiles and can relax a patient. Nurse explained everything in an easy way for me to understand. I appreciate her expertise and her willingness to have short conversations with me. She gently inserted the catheter that was used for contrast dye. She also gently removed the catheter after the procedures were complete. MRI and CT technicians were also professional and good communicators. They also explained everything ahead of time so I knew what to expect. Two days later I returned to Envision Imaging to pick up my CD-ROM of previous imaging. I also picked up a CD-ROM of the MRI and CT that Envision Imaging performed. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. They quickly provided the 2 CD-ROM that I ask for. Thank you to the entire staff at Envision Imaging on Plano Pwky. I had a full MRI of my spine in late February, and the radiologist, Dr. Veena Gautam, completely…read moremissed a 5.7 cm calcified mass on my spleen and a 5 mm pancreatic cyst--neither of which were mentioned in the report. Despite the MRI being ordered for spinal stenosis, any competent radiologist should have noted a large, clearly visible lesion. It wasn't until my neurosurgeon took an X-ray that the mass was flagged as concerning, prompting further imaging. Additionally, this facility filed my insurance incorrectly twice, and when I returned, there was no acknowledgment or apology for such a serious oversight. If you need imaging here, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion or requesting a different radiologist to review your scans.

They were very careful to follow their checklists and make notes on one's condition. Don't want any surprise on the operating table. My procedure was somewhat elective and not urgent care so no emergency issues. I went one day for getting checked in and simple tests. Back following week for day surgery. A few tips to make the process less painful (ouch!) and less stress. Parking available fronting Parker Road but if full plenty in rear (east side), park and walk through hallway to front. Go to check-in desk first assuming doctor's office has setup appointment. You get a pager which when goes off go to numbered station to be admitted for tests. If there for surgery check-in same place and wait for pre-op nurse to take you into back. IMPORTANT NOTE: if they are going to put you under you must have a patient advocate (spouse, significant other etc) with you to hear/read all the instructions. You will be too doped up to remember or drive home. You will get lots of pre-op and post-op instructions in writing and verbal. Pay attention. While in surgery your patient advocate with be given a pager, visitor wristband and a card with your patient nr. on it. That way the advocate to following the status of patient from pre-op, surgery post-op etc. BTW: after your first check-in the Health Center will send you an email to setup an optional account to communicate with doctor/nurse if needed. The Center posts results there which if you want can be securely forward to another doctor.

I could not even open my eyes without wanting to vomit and I had stomach surgery so that would have been awful. The nurse in recovery kept trying to rush me to wake up and I told her I was in so much pain I could not even talk. I was resting with my eyes closed and I heard her tell someone she is almost out of there after me. I felt rushed and literally scooped up and thrown out the door. I was in soo much pain I was literally crying all night. I should not have been rushed but also I was in no condition to go home. I was in the ER the next morning.
