had an urgent ankle injury and came in as a walk-in. Blanka (or Bianka) at the front desk was incredibly kind, sincere, and compassionate. She understood my situation and did everything she could to fit me into the schedule that same day. I truly appreciated how caring and welcoming she was during a stressful time. The rest of the staff and assistants were also very patient, understanding, and attentive to what each patient needed. They made me feel comfortable and well cared for throughout my visit. Dr. Jodi was very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. She took the time to explain my injury, answered my questions, and made me feel confident in my treatment plan. My visits have been great when it comes to the PTs and PAs but that's after you are met with Front desk staff like Christina. She is super efficient in getting her job done but lacks compassion and empathy. As a patient, things happen and if a pt gives as much notice as possible, that's not signs of a difficult patient to whom I'd have to "put in place". I asked for a copy of policy to make sure I follow policy and she decided to print out another copy highlighting the scheduling policy and highlighting once again where I signed after I had already received the copy I asked for. Like geez lady I apologized and am trying not to make the same error and she rubbed in my face. Emotional regulation is important for someone in charge of "patient care" and while I was remorseful and paid my fee for rescheduling less than 24 hrs, Christina was extremely passive aggressive and when told how she made a patient feel in clinic, she had 0 remorse or compassion. Impact vs intention especially when it comes to patient care. That's not someone that I'd like to see/deal with when coming into a clinic of great PTs & PA's. Again, if you want her to tackle an insurance company, she's your girl. If you want to be spoken to like a human being, go elsewhere. Very curt, insensitive but hey she'll get things done. read more

Dr. Brian Fuller of Ortho Texas performed my knee surgery. Dr. Fuller was highly recommended by a former patient who had undergone knee replacement. She was very happy with her results and follow-up care. Dr. Fuller did not disappoint. Dr Myers was supposed to be doing a knee replacement. What should have been a routine surgery turned into a nightmare. He broke my femur doing a manipulation of my knee after surgery and things took an ominous turn after that. He put a plate and screws in that started coming through my skin and at that point he told me to go to BUMC to let another group care for me. I entered through the emergency room on his advice, but the doctors at BUMC had received no call from him and they had no idea of where I had come from and who did this to me. I had a total of 9 operations which included removing the knee and most of the fibula/tibia and femur because of necrosis. Yes, he killed my leg bones. I am now disfigured with a crippled leg that is 3" shorter than the other. It appears as if I was involved in a series of operations that have left my leg terribly disfigured and discolored. Would not recommend now or ever. Would not even consider using a practice that condones this behavior among it's doctors. This group never even called to see if I survived this or not. This is the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my life. read more

She said I was the perfect candidate. I am still getting bills I never signed off on. Now $3000 my cost and the injection never worked. I brought my 93 year old mother to see Dr Sethi because of extreme pain in her upper extremities. When Dr Sethi came into the room and began asking my mom questions, I had to let her know nicely that my mom was hearing impaired and would need her to speak loudly. Dr Sethi was very rude and told me shat she does NOT speak loudly. She was very cold mannered the entire visit and made me feel very uncomfortable. I've never experienced such uncaring and rude behavior from a doctor before. Whenever I asked her a question, she answered shortly and sarcastically. I always give people grace in case they're just having a bad day, but her mannerisms and actions were beyond just having a bad day. Received excellent care from time injury, initial visit, to surgery, and recovering. From Dr. Fagelman, to Rich, to Lucitta. Also, the excellent ex ray team. Rich goes above to help clients. You call with an issue and it's taken care of, weather be talking to doc. about pain medication or out of medication, to helping to get in to see busy doc. after surgery with booked appt., and listening to clients concerning overall recovery. Lucitta in listening documenting and relating all concerns to the doc. All I asked was to be cleared in good shape for my birthday today. The team is so good that I had improved so much since the beginning of this surgery, even more than expected. Great quality of care, caring about patients, and very client centered. This is where expressing your concerns and needs is a number one priority in the treatment and recovery process. The client with the help of the team drives in the decision making so to speak, recovery process, and as part of decision making concerning physical therapy among other issues in recovery. Client chooses where to go for treatment after surgery, and what medications work best for them. When out of medication, more is called in. When needing an order for physical therapy, it's filled. They just care about they're clients. Strong in believing that clients aren't in pain. If you call, you get a returned phone call in reasonable amount of time. Talk to person and not a machine. Just love this place and appreciative of all they do in going above for they're clients. Can't believe in this day and age they are still racist doctors office in Dallas, Texas. Had the unfortunate experience of dealing with a front office manager, that lacks ethics and morals to say the least. Was made to wait over an hour and when asked to speak to a manager was told to shut up And then had the authorities called on me when I refused. Been a patient of this office for 2 1/2 years and never had a problem with the front desk until today with all new employees. Dr. McKenzie and her nurse are wonderful but her front staff leaves something to be desired. That's my two cents what it's worth. Dr. Glogau is a great doctor/surgeon. Nine years ago he did hip replacement on both my hips and it was like a miracle. April 15 he did knee replacement on my right knee and it is another amazing experience. I have no knee pain and I'm thrilled to say I can go up and stairs using both legs instead of the "up with the good and down with the bad" . He is always very interested in my recovery and my pain levels. I'm also pleased with the scars from all three surgeries. I highly recommend him. My husband had a appointment week of 30 of Jan. because sleet storm had to cancell,they rescheduled for Friday 3 2023 at 8:45am. We live in Plano so left early to get there on time to Carrollton office. He arrived at 8:25 am. They said office wasn't going to open until 9:ooam, but they couldn't get me in to see doctor until !:45 pm. They said they left message yesterday, I told them that I was home all day and never got a message onor call on my cell phone or my home landline that has a answer machine. Our experience here was not the best. We were referred here and have been to better so I wish we had just stuck with our regular. First off, you cannot reach them by phone. It is almost impossible. Adding to my frustration, the staff made an appointment for us that was a huge waste of time because when we got there, Dr. Fagelman was confused and said he could not do what we wanted. (Draining elbow.) Honestly, we should not have paid for that appointment. Why did they let us make that appointment if it could not be done as an office visit? I really feel blessed that the doctors and staff listen to their patients and included their goals as part of the care plans. I have confidence in the skill set of the team and I know that being more conservative at first is what I wanted. Dr. Alder is a brilliant surgeon! Being only 23 years old after a unsuccessful surgery this January with another surgeon, I felt almost hopeless for a successful outcome and many doctors brushed me off like I was crazy or said that it is normal to have pain 9 months after surgery. I was referred to Dr. Alder by Dr. Sethi (also brilliant) and he was the first doctor to sit there with me and listen to my complaints and we decided to try ACDF as a last resort option (I tried every conservative treatment around). I am now 6 weeks post OP from a 2 level ACDF at C5/6 and 6/7 with hardware removal at C5/6 (artificial disc placed in Jan). Dr. Alder discovered exactly why I was having so many issues due to debris being left around the disc replacement and a calcified disc at 6/7 which was not shown on imaging - he was able to clean everything up and I have amazing range of motion and I am practically pain free! Do not go!! This place is a scam! Went for PT, the first session started almost 15 min late and ended early. They also called me hours before my 3rd session to tell me they over booked my time slot, and asked me to reschedule. After telling them I couldn't move my time slot they said they would make someone else reschedule. Well they didn't make anyone else reschedule, and I got maybe 5 minutes with a trained therapist. Obviously after these experiences I choose to never return. However they claimed billing was messed up and I owed money months later. Explained how I felt cheated and they did nothing to help. Told me to contact my insurance or they'd send me to collections. Poorly run, just out to get every dollar they can. There are so many good OT places in North Dallas, look elsewhere and you'll be grateful you did! read more

Dr Myers preformed a total right knee replacement on June 11,2020. He did a fabulous job. His bedside manner and listening skills are superb. I never felt like he was in a hurry or that I was just a number. He never pushed me to have surgery and when I had a small issue with my left replacement he immediately knew what to do and I had 100% relief. I would recommend Dr Myers for joint issue appointments and knee replacement. His staff is also superb and they all did everything they could to ensure I had a fantastic outcome. 7 weeks after my replacement I'm going back to work as an aircraft mechanic, couldn't ask for better results! read more

NEVER AGAIN!-RIP OFF BILLING NIGHTMARE!! I had some minor physical therapy for what everyone said "was the most common thing they do." THREE different occasions I came for a PT session and was informed that my portion of payment due was higher than expected and I owed additional money for all previous sessions. It started at about $60 each session and before it was done almost $100 per. I later had a common procedure done and explicitly asked if ALL my balances were paid. TEN MONTHS later I'm suddenly getting bills in the mail from two of their doctors. I had blue cross insurance for the therapy and united health care for the procedure. This is a physician owned company which in reality means they are just here to take, take, take your money. read more

If I could leave a 0/5 for SHIKHA SETHI, M.D. I would, my appointment with her on 9/19 was horrific I have never encountered a doctor who was more interested in getting paid than patient care, my appointment ran an hour long and for 45 mins she just kept repeating why I was there if my pain was accident related because insurance is not going to cover the payment, I tried to explain to her that my pain has been there since way before the accident and the pain was aggravated after the accident and she did not want to listen to anything I had to say after 45 mins of being concerned about payment she said "well since we have little time left and there's no point of letting you leave since you're already here, let's talk about what's going on with your pain" I tried to tell her I emailed over my records to her and we can go over them together since it's a complete history of what's wrong and then we can go from there" but she interrupted me and said there's too many pages here and we don't have time to go over all of this and then she started to go over and she kept repeating I need images I can't go off another persons report. After that she continued to scan over my reports and said that non of my injections were related to my disc bludge and said that I should google at home what neck pain is and what disc buldge is because I'm not understanding the difference and she doesn't have time to go over it in detail with me. After berading me for an hour she told me she can't help me until I get images and I figure out the payment situation, and then walked out of the room. I received my discharge papers and as I was walking down the hall she stopped me infront of other people and loudly said " don't worry we will figure out the payment before we get you back in this office" which was very embarrassing. After I left that office I cried for 3 hours I was not only embarrassed but also felt like like no one wants to help me with my pain. read more

My husband made an appointment for me to visit Dr. Sethi (because I was too stubborn to do so myself) - and I'm sure glad he did! From the start, the office staff for BOTH entities are fantastic. They were all so kind, and patiently worked with me. I injured myself at home a few weeks ago for the second time due to poor body mechanics (silly me!), and saw Dr. Sethi for the injury. She was very factual and professional, explained my xrays to me and explained my options. She allowed me to participate in my course of treatment, which included medications and a few Physical therapy sessions. Today I completed my first PT session, and it was fantastic! (I was very nervous going in) Michael worked with me to assess my strengths and weaknesses. He was not intimidating or judgemental. He was kind and relatable! Please avoid Dr Christopher D Allmon at OrthoTexas. He performed Carpal Tunnel on my left hand, which would go numb occasionally depending on how much work I did at the keyboard. I am a software engineer. Initially he said recovery time was 2-4 weeks; now he is saying 4-6 months. Following surgery, the bandage / cast was applied tooooo tight cutting off circulation in my hand. Dr did prescribe narcotic pain and nausea med, which were required. On a scale of 1-10, the pain was 20! Pain in left hand was totally debilitating, i.e. try to dress/undress/open lid on a jar/... with only 1 hand. I should have had the cast removed immediately. Ten days after surgery, cast was removed at Dr office. The next morning 80% of pain was gone. However, my fingers are totally numb, even after 3 months performing physical therapy which require Aspercreme with lidocaine be applied generously. My thumb still can't touch 2 small fingers. Dr said they were controlled by elbow and recommended additional surgery! Unbelievable! Several friends have had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands. They described the pain level as "no big deal". A cosmetologist returned to work full time after 3 weeks. They had no residual numbness. Post-operative care was also very poor. There were not enough nurses to care for patients, resulting in a 45 minute delay in removing IV before I could leave. read more

I'm torn on how to rate OrthoTexas, because my experience with them has been both wonderful and terrible. The administrative staff, facility, nurses, and PAs are all fantastic. I've never had any issues with billing or insurance, and scheduling/cancelling appointments is a breeze. Everyone is very friendly, and having a physical therapy center, diagnostic imaging center, and surgery facility all in the same place is extremely convenient. Also, I think they have some really excellent doctors. I spent 18 months as a patient at OrthoTexas, and in that time saw Drs. Sethi, Allmon and Neagle. I'd give Dr. Sethi 5 stars, Dr. Allmon 3 stars, and Dr. Neagle 0 stars (who is no longer with OrthoTexas, or even practicing medicine---more on that in a bit). I first went to OrthoTexas in September 2016 due to carpal-tunnel-like symptoms. When I called OrthoTexas, they immediately referred me to Dr. Neagle. After confirming carpal tunnel, he performed open release surgeries on both hands in late 2016. In 2017, after healing from surgery, I went back to Dr. Neagle to complain that I was continuing to have CTS-like symptoms. He insisted the surgeries were successful and the pain must be from something else. An MRI showed very slight herniation in my neck and I was referred to Dr. Sethi. After months of physical therapy, two steroid shots in my neck and a visit to a neurologist, I had no improvement with the pain in my hands. Dr. Sethi suggested perhaps the neck herniation was a red herring, and my issues were due to scar tissue from the carpal tunnel surgeries. She thought the scar tissue was possibly continuing to put pressure on my hand nerves. Dr. Sethi recommended I see Dr. Allmon, who (at the time) was the second hand doctor at OrthoTexas. After a series of cortisone shots in my hands, Dr. Allmon confirmed Dr. Sethi's suspicions that scar tissue was the culprit of my continued pain. He said that revision surgeries, which are somewhat risky and invasive, would be necessary to remove the scar tissue. I requested an appointment with Dr. Neagle for his opinion, but instead received a call from his PA. She told me that Dr. Neagle was adamant my pain could not in any way be related to the surgeries he performed, and would not be able to help me any further. At this point (January 2018), I decided to go outside of OrthoTexas and seek out some second and third opinions. I eventually found a top-rated doctor whom I completely trust, and last week he performed a re-release surgery on one of my hands (the second is scheduled for October). He said Dr. Neagle did not entirely cut the carpal tunnel ligament in my hand and that it was still attached in several places, confirming it as the source of my pain. Also, my current doctor said there was very little scar tissue, so that was a complete misdiagnosis by Dr. Sethi (who is not a hand doctor) and Dr. Allmon (who is). To make this long story even more crazy, in June of this year I received a letter from OrthoTexas stating that Dr. Neagle had suddenly resigned from OrthoTexas and was taking a sabbatical from practicing medicine. I have no idea what happened, but it sounds like I wasn't the first patient to be unhappy with the results of his medical practices. TL;DR: I think OrthoTexas is a fantastic facility if you're needing some early testing, physical therapy, simple cortisone shots, etc. Some of the OrthoTexas doctors are top-notch. My BIL had knee surgery there a few years ago and it was incredibly successful. He says his doctor was awesome. It could be that Dr. Neagle was a bad egg, but I would urge anyone who is facing any sort of surgery or invasive procedure to seek out a second opinion before blindly moving forward at OrthoTexas. To be honest, that's probably good medical advice regardless of the facility. I've learned that medical opinions can widely vary between physicians, and as the patient you really have to be your own advocate. Ultimately, I'm landing on a 2-star review due to the years of hand pain endured and thousands of dollars lost on medical bills and missed work, all as the result of Dr. Neagle's incompetency. While I primarily blame Dr. Neagle for my troubles, some of the fault has to fall on OrthoTexas for keeping him on staff for so long. read more

I received a bill from OrthoTexas and the address listed on the bill is Carrollton. My physical therapy itself was good. The PTs listened to my needs and helped me with exercise to improve my back. I did my PT at the McKinney location. However, I was told from the receptionist that she verified my insurance and told me how much I was going to pay. The amount she said is the amount I expected to pay and to not receive a bill. Of course, I received a bill. What's the point of telling me how much you're going to charge me but it's the incorrect amount?! I was never told that it was an "estimate." I called the number listed on the bill because I had billing questions. I spoke to Christina because I was really confused on why I had a bill. Christina briefly explained why I got a bill but I was still confused. (Why? Because I was told a different amount, paid it & now they're trying to get more money from me). Christina seemed quite agitated at me for not understanding or she was just irritated that she had to explain it to me again. She brushed me off telling me I should call my insurance company and look at the explanation of benefits. She was short with me and I didn't want to bother with it anymore.
