Great trip. A lot of fun. They did a good job of keeping everyone safe. Seeing the animals and planting a plant was a nice touch.

Great time on this little 4wheeler tour. The guides were friendly, and the views were beautiful. Cute little piglets & baby goats too. I liked how they were able to fit us in last minute.

Checking in!

Went ATV riding for my husband's birthday, and it's was right during a small storm so it was wet and muddy! Brandy the young lady who checked us in was fantastic she was helpful and made sure we didn't mess our shoes up and advised us to wear the boots; smartest decision ever! Cuz boy did we get dirty! lol Our guide Kamu was fun and had great energy! Over all it was worth the time and money! Thank you North Shores if we're blessed to make it back to the island of Oahu, we'll for sure be making a stop to ride dirty;)

Nuu was our amazing tour guide. What a beautiful space to explore. Despite it being my first time on a ATV it was very very easy to navigate and so fun. Highly recommend. Will be coming back! PS u get to feed animals!

We blasted through the tracks and mud like absolute legends and then casually met two brand-new baby goats!!!! 10/10 adventure and cuteness. Would ride again.

Our tour guide was amazing! We got to ride the ATVs around the area and our tour guide was super informative. Highly recommend! It does get really dusty so make sure you're wearing clothes that you don't mind getting dusty.

What a fun time! I really booked this because I thought my husband would like it, but I was honestly a little apprehensive. No - super fun. Since Covid I have not been a fan of masks - so I was nervous about feeling off when I leaned on site I needed to wear not only a helmet and goggles but a mask-like covering, but it was totally fine! I highly recommend this experience - the people are great, lots of time riding in the sun with beautiful views, and would prioritize coming back again should we make our way here again!

Maile, Moani, and Annie were AMAZING tour guides! Such a fun experience! Brought some friends and family for my birthday! Had the best time driving along the coast, driving the ATV track, feeding the animals, and learning more about the land the tour takes place on! We finished off the tour planting native plants along the coastline. Totally worth it! Just make sure you bring change of clothes or towels to sit on afterwards when you drive home! Gonna get dirty!!!!!

In the beginning the lady who checked us in "recommended" a hair cover I declined, she said we had to have it so I responded oh so it's required, she said, yes. Extra charge. This place has a great history but not worth the price nor drive for ATV riding. Maddi was our tour guide. She was knowledgeable, kind and has a great smile. I thought it was adventurous so if you're looking to go crazy or over 8 MPH this isn't the ATV adventure for you. Oh and if you don't like goats hopping on your ATV I'd pass. I'm a dog person not an animal person unless I'm visiting the zoo where I'm at a distance.

Fun!!

They also had the free hayride, entertainment, the pumpkin patch, sunflower patch, pony rides, and more! I love that they partner with organizations for great giveaways. My hubby won 2 RT airline tickets to anywhere Southwest flies on the mainland by winning a watermelon eating contest! Woop woop! They also had really cute staged areas for photo taking, tons of food vendors, a farmer's market, etc. You can't go wrong when there's something for everyone to do. Highly recommend checking this place out for Halloween time. Bring boots and plenty of water and sunscreen - it's hot out there, but always fun.

The decorations were cute and festive, and the staff we interacted with were all friendly and welcoming. It was definitely crowded and a bit overwhelming, so we only stayed for about an hour. It was also really hot, which made it tough for both us and our dog. We walked around, grabbed some food, checked out the sunflowers and pumpkin patch, and then stopped by the farmers market store before heading out. The store service was quick, but one moment stood out. A young boy was trying his best to help us and do the math for our items when another staff member suddenly took over and told him, "You're going to the side. You're way too slow." It felt a little uncomfortable to witness, since the boy was clearly trying his best. I understand things can get busy, but it just didn't feel right to scold him in front of customers. Despite that, the festival itself was fun, the food and produce were great, and it's always nice to see local families and pets enjoying the day. We'll probably go again, maybe earlier in the morning next time when it's less crowded and cooler.

So, all you people out there who have never visited Waimanalo Country Farms, this is your chance. I did the hay ride. You get to hear a live story from the driver. No such thing as prerecording. We visited because we saw ads of the pumpkin patch and wanted to check it out ourselves. Military gets an entry discount for visiting too. This place also offers a riding tour on one of the trailers, there's also one for kids on a different ride. The most interesting part is the farm, we love seeing cute and small animals, the goats were the most active at the location, the donkeys were also loud. You can also feed the goats by visiting the food booth and paying one of the staff members for a cup of dried green bites. We took lots of pics, it was getting hot for us but what ever, it's Hawaii. Our favorite part was the sunflower field, it was away from the crowd and we can choose any lane to take pics, just watch out for bees if you're afraid of them or can't tell between wasps, yellow jackets or bees. It looked like a lot of the good pumpkins were already picked out so the pumpkin field looked pretty decent, the swing that's at the pumpkin patch area was a nice touch though.

When it first started high school students from Waianae and Nanakuli, who were unable to function in the classroom, came here to learn how to care about themselves through caring of the land with traditional Hawaiian Values. The program has expanded with Hoa Aina's Mission Statement, "Creating Peaceful Communities in Harmony with Nature, through the Eyes, Hands and Hearts of the Children." Makaha elementary students use the 5 acre farm daily and learn hands experience of how plant, take care, and harvest a plant. They are able to care for different animals. Public and private schools and the community is welcome to the farm. They offer different programs where you can learn how to grow your own garden. The school program is called Ke-Ala program. Our students went on the general tour. There is a Polynesia tour for older students. Ke-Ala Program- Before we entered the farm the students chanted an Oli along with the adults. Makaha farms sent us over the chant and we practiced it with our students before we arrived. We went along with another class and were split up in to two groups with a guide to show us around. One class went to the animals and the other went on a tour of the farm. Animals- The students enjoyed learning about the different animals. They had: Rabbits Fish Chickens Geese Ducks Goats Sheep Turtles Bees They also got to pet all of them and feed them. Tour of the farm: garden On this tour we got to see projects that the students from Makaha created. Kat our guide talked about the different plants. There were so many I couldn't remember all the names. We saw taro, jackfruit, cotton, banana trees, etc. During the tour we got to see, feed, and touch earthworms. After the tour around the farm the students got to plant their own sunflowers. Each student got to take this home. This farm is 5 acres, there is a lot more to see here then what we saw. Lunch The farm has a nice covered outdoor seating area. It has sinks next to it so the children could wash their hands before lunch. Last year we were able to harvest taro and replant it. Each student got to peddle a bike, which turned a blender, and we made smoothies. They used different fruits from around the farm and kalo. The students and adults really enjoyed it. Overall, it's a great educational experience for the kids. The tour guides speak age appropriately to the children. It's a wonderful field trip to attend with your children. The only downfall is its a bit pricey.
