When we stopped by to drop off the keys, the guy we've been talking to wasn't there. We called him and he told us to drop the keys in the key slot on the garage door. We thought it was odd and suspicious, but didn't think much of it. He called us 2-3 weeks after we dropped off the keys and told us he will now start working on our car. again, we didn't think much of it because we figured he was probably backed up. Another 2-3 weeks go by and we haven't heard from him. My boyfriend would call the number he gave us and it would go straight to voicemail. We decided to go to the shop and talk to him personally. We find out he's been missing for 2-3 weeks from another mechanic who owns the garage and rents out part of the garage to the guy we gave our car to. On top of that, OUR CAR WAS MISSING. it wasn't in the shop, in the parking lot, or in the surrounding area. We decided to talk to the police and see if we can report it stolen but because we had initially gave him permission to service the car, we had to write him an official registered letter rescinding our permission. On top of that, he had 30 days to comply and that's when we can report it stolen. About 20 days waiting for a response, the guy calls us and says that he doesn't know what's wrong with our car so he dropped it off at another transmission shop. We told him the situation and he kept spinning lies to us that he's talked to our insurance company, no one has reached out to him although the police gave us his home address to send the letter to. After speaking to the police, it turns out this guy was in jail the past month and prior to that, he was using our car to drive around and got cited for a disturbance in granite falls... his shop was in bothell. When we retrieved our car from the other shop, the gas was basically on fumes, the interior of the car smelled like a smoker, and he stole a few things like an aux chord and my boyfriends $200 ray bans. He has made no effort or contacted us about our things or called to apologize. So I repeat, DO NOT GO HERE.

I am writing this review regarding the treatment my mother and I received from an R&R Towing driver…read moreafter our Dodge Ram 350 camper van broke down in Lynnwood on 8-17-2026 We were stranded and needed a tow to a local repair shop approximately 2.5 miles away. An R&R driver named Coda/Cota was dispatched to assist us. From the beginning, his demeanor was extremely rude and unprofessional. He told us that he had previously been called to tow our vehicle and had refused because of the generator and plumbing in the camper van. This statement was completely untrue. We do not live in the Lynnwood area, and this van has never previously been towed. We have no idea why he would make such a claim or treat us as though we were attempting to do something improper. He told us that he could not tow the vehicle with the flatbed truck he had brought. He took photographs of the van and told us that he would contact R&R and have a different truck sent to handle the tow. He then left. We never received another call from R&R. We were left stranded for approximately five hours before we finally contacted Dick's Towing. Their driver arrived within about an hour and successfully towed our camper van to the repair shop without the problems or accusations we had experienced with R&R. I find the entire experience extremely concerning. We were already in a stressful situation, stranded in an unfamiliar area, and simply needed assistance getting our disabled vehicle a short distance to a repair shop. Instead, we were treated rudely, accused--at least by implication--of having some sort of questionable vehicle or situation, and then effectively abandoned after being told another R&R truck would be sent. Why the tow could not be performed with the truck he was operating, and why no one from R&R ever followed up after he left is a mystery, but was probably because it was a AAA call for a short distance. Customers who are stranded and requesting roadside assistance should be treated with courtesy and professionalism.

They told me that the towing sign in the parking lot "is only there because of the law" and that they can't actually do anything--it's just there for people to call. So what's the point of even having the sign or their number listed if they won't help when someone takes your space? Absolutely useless and unprofessional. The management was closed, so where would I park? Horrible customer service and very unhelpful. If this is how they operate, I have no idea what they actually get paid to do. It's a Friday night so there are guaranteed to be many people parking in spots they shouldn't supposed to. She obviously was on top of her game, asking the right questions and making good quality suggestions. She determined that we needed the special service of a "relocate" on same property. As it was not an emergency situation she advised us to call at 8 am Monday morning to get a quote from one of their relocate specialists. A man called me later that morning to say to come by with a key and they'll take a look at it on Monday and call me with an estimate. I never get a call with an estimate, when I called to check on my car, I was simply told they had found and fixed the problem and it would cost about $200. After paying $120 for a battery (What is that, 100% markup?!) plus $75 for labour, they said the car was ready to pick up. Took the bus there, drove my car less than 1 mile, AND THE CAR DIED AGAIN!! They hadn't diagnosed it properly and simply assumed it was the battery! They towed the car back and ended up charging me an additional $300 (including tax) for a new ignition coil (again... 100% markup?!) and labour. We don't believe it would have cost us $500 if they would have found the problem the first time. They also wasted our time to bus there - once only to fork over $200 and have the car die right after then have to walk the rest of the way home, then bus back hours later just to pay another $300. After this experience, I would say avoid Gus Coopers Services because they wasted my time and I felt over they overcharged me for the parts.
