My storage unit in Westlake Village had major water intrusion from above and everything in my unit is ruined. And when I spoke to Robert, the district manager, he told me to read my contract and what he was saying was you're not supposed to store anything of value ( monetarily or sentimentally) , so only store your trash in storquest Westlake villages building!!! Of course, if you have a boat, I guess that's not gonna get damaged from the water. My insurance company reached out to them numerous times and nobody would take their calls or return their call, so they denied my claim! I spoke to Asher in the local office and he said he was told not to speak to us or our insurance company and that Robert, the district manager would take care of it!!! His way of taking care of it is ignoring us and not answering anything. I was denied by my insurance company, State farm, because nobody at store request would answer their questions. I did have a small policy through store quest that they make you buy and yes, that one paid but what they paid won't even cover the cost to get the unit cleaned out and everything dumped. DO NOT STORE ANYTHINK OF VALUE AT STORQUEST. ONLY STORE TRASH!!!!!!

I really needed the easy vibe that Bob brings to the deal and all he has to do is be himself! Amazing human being. I stopped at 3 other facilities today and the people servicing customers were not memorable and not all that helpful or informative. This is my first time using a storage facility so I knew nothing. At first I dreaded having to pay for storage but now I feel the comfort of having a storage facility for my things (I don't know where I'm moving)! Sadly, I moved into an elderly woman's home not knowing she has advanced stages of Alzheimer's. She has become combative and I need to get out before 2 weeks have gone by. Anyway, Bob and So Cal Self Storage are a real comfort to me. Not only is BOB the best part of the facility, the prices seem more affordable than all the others. The only reason I chose SoCal storage was because the move in included a free moving truck usage. I…read moreset up a date and time for pickup of the truck and paid for the unit. I was called a couple days before I was supposed to get the truck and was told that the corporate office lost the registration (not my fault and also unacceptable). I was notified that I would be the first to use the truck when it became available. I waited and waited and checked in month or 2 later and was told it wasn't ready for use. Eventually, I was called and notified it was ready but 2-3 weeks out. So much for being the first. When I asked Andy (he's not the problem) what they would do about this he said there's nothing that can be done because this is a "bonus" for renting there. I said it's not my fault this happened and that I would not have chosen them had it not included a truck. I canceled my unit which I had paid 2-3 months for all while being empty. At least a month free or something would have made the situation better but nothing. I'll never store here again and will tell anyone I know not to. They need some business management and customer service classes. Also, this is borderline false advertisement. They advertised something that was available not a "bonus". Joke.

It's turned out to be the right storage for my needs.  In fact, better than…read more I needed a 10x10 in the Thousand Oaks area.  I checked online, called a few, and found ridiculously high prices.  Extra Space storage had a reasonably priced unit (go online and reserve for savings), and a first floor unit (all of theirs is). They make the process great, and were very responsive to calls or even texts.  Easy to sign-up, and a docusign for all the paperwork.  The facility is kept very clean, and long hours for access (everyday from 6am-10pm). I think I've made a great choice.
