He was informative, insightful, perceptive and educated me and walked me through each step and his dental assistant or dental tech. Gina was phenomenal as her appropriate sense of humor was much needed and sometimes what can be a stressful moment when you're getting a drill on your tooth. Eloquently facilitated by the very own Dr. Lopez. But his precision and his attentiveness was pretty impeccable and impressive. And I've had dentists in the past who have fallen short because they've triggered a pain point, but with Dr. Lopez I was in good hands because it was a pain-free experience and while the drill was loud, which at every dental office drills loud. But I was really focused on relaxing. And thank you so much for Dr. Lopez for allowing that. And I was very grateful for that experience. But I was also very happy that his dental assistant Gina was able to also make me feel IDs and comfortable. And thanks for the laughs Gina ;) And thanks to Evelyn, the office manager who really underscored the positive and uplifting and professional environment that I would expect from any Top-Tier dentist. :)

I was referred to Anchorage Oral and Implant Surgery by my regular Dentist, to have 4 broken molars…read moreremoved under IV sedation, as I'm very scared of going to the dentist. I had a successfully avoided the dentist surgery for 32 years, until pain from these broken teeth took me into the Dentist office. My regular dentist thought it better to have me sedated, and sent me to Dr Sashi to get the work done. I admit to being quite terrified - even just getting in one of those tilt-back chairs has me a nervous wreck. Tristan was my dental technician, and she was very warm, kind, understanding and welcoming. She took some kind of X-ray, where i had to sit, and put my chin in a tray, and it took no time. Dr. Sashi examined my mouth, and he explained everything. I said "Are you good?" (Trying to inject humour into the situation, to ease my nerves) and he said "I'm very good" i said i like that confidence! I knew he was good from all the reviews I'd seen about him. I was taken through to my treatment room, and given a blanket. I had a blood pressure cuff attached, sensors on my chest and stomach, a finger device, an oxygen tube into my nostrils, and the IV was started. This took, what seemed like seconds to get all this done. The injection to start the IV was quite literally painless, i barely even felt it. However, i didn't immediately fall asleep, so i started getting nervous like "Hey, I'm awake over here" But the next thing i know, I'm awake, with a big ice bandage round my head, and gauzes sticking out of my mouth. Quite dizzy, and not able to walk well yet. My friend who had driven me to the appointment, and waited while the surgery was completed was in the room waiting to escort me. I was mumbling, probably nonsense, and hugging all the staff in sight *facepalm* but i was quite loopy from the anaesthesia, so i can be forgiven for this. I was given an aftercare package, that is very thorough, and has do's and don'ts, and what you should be doing on each day following surgery. I haven't experienced a huge amount of pain either and i had turned down strong painkillers, but was told to call back for a prescription if i felt i needed it. Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen has managed my pain levels thus far. I am very happy with my extractions, and the stellar treatment i received at this Dental Surgery, and Dr. Sashi is indeed "Very good!" I do recommend this place.

I finally found a dentist in Anchorage I like!…read more Look on Yelp for Dentist reviews and you'll find a weird situation. Lots of polarization, lots of flagged reviews, it's the wild-wild west out there. I main reasons I decided to check out midtown: - Close to my job (can walk from work) - Accepted by my insurance Another, dumb, reason: it's a pretty cool, modern-looking building. I came here after I experienced hard-selling and fear-mongering tactics at another Dentist. I wanted to get a second opinion. Boy, am I glad I did. Staff here are friendly and professional. Appointments are timely. The lobby is beautiful. You can choose your own music or watch Netflix while you get drilled/scrapped/polished. I had Dr. Adam Jensen for my dentist, he was great. He had a data-driven yet practical approach. I wish I knew he was a peak bagger (just found it out by creeping the website), we'll have so much more to talk about next time!

I went specifically for a cleaning but was told I had to come back. By this point, I had already invested my time and effort and I went back for the following reasons: - I liked Dr. Tudor - The office was clean, inviting and full of modern equipment. I've now been here for two cleanings and have been attended to by the same hygienist, who is very thorough. You know you got a good cleaning when you leave with some pain (good pain)! Except on my last visit, she nearly chipped my tooth by pulling out the reflection mirror too quickly (bad pain). I'll be back, mainly because I don't feel like searching for yet another new dentist and also because I do feel like they are honest. I inquired about both whitening and Invisalign and they advised I did not need either.

I guess because he thought the numbing gel was suppose to numb things he could stick the needle in and move it in any direction he wanted to. When doing a cleaning his tool caught my lip and was pinching it against my tooth i tried to move my lip and he got angry. When he pulled my tooth he was yanking and hit my front tooth. That front tooth cost me a lot of money. Its a cap and it hurt so i touched it to make sure it was ok and the doctor got very curt telling me to put my hands down and do not raise them again. I was thinking," your right I raise them again I'm going to jail. You think you can talk to me like that and treat me this way?" The next tooth he pulled he didnt try to yank he added slow pressure like they are taught to do. Too bad he did not remember with the first one. Its wierd how hard they were to pull when he said they were severely infected and unsavable. My body seemed to disagree. Its ok i wanted one of them pulled anyway but lying is a huge peeve of mine. I dont understand why he would do it and why he thought I would not know. Was it because we were in mountain view? His staff looked freaked out a little when I told them I am a vetran and i would be running any prescriptions by the VA pharmacy. Turns out the VA will not fill it since dentist are not covered by the VA community care but still I am letting the VA know. That was just wierd. She actually has a support system you do not mess with. I guess if you treated everyone the same your staff would not freeze and get bug eyed when they find out I'm educated and not on welfare. Them doing everything in one visit and the staff is why it gets 4 stars. The assistant running the vac I think was in training too. Everything seemed an oh yah moment for her but thats ok. I dont mind training with me. Not having to make a different visit for everything is what would make me recommend it. Plus i am told other people were making visits in Wasilla because none were available in town and BTY was willing to get me in the very same day.
