Another dentist screwed up my tooth and Doc Ellis squared me away quick! He was way less expensive than the first guy too!

Growing up I associated going to the dentist with pain, so when I had the choice, I chose only to go when it was an emergency. Needless to say, not the smartest move on my part and through my life I have always hidden my teeth from everyone. Finally, as I was getting older I thought it was time to do something about them. I looked in the lower 48 states, because that is what everyone said I would have to do, but then I found Excellence in Dentistry! From the first visit, I felt like ALL, everyone there cared! The entire team is truly gifted in what they do! I have had a lot done, more then most will need to and I am so shocked at what has been done so far! OUTSTANDING! The care from when you walk in the door until your visit is done is second to none! Through all of the procedures I have had done, DR Skinner, DR Fox, and the entire team are comforting and make it a priority there is no discomfort or pain! I never thought I would say I look forward to my dentist visits, but now I do! Excellence in Dentistry is exactly who they are! They truly gave me a smile!

I've been going to Mint Dental since 2018 and it's been a consistent experience overall. The front…read moredesk is easy to work with, especially for scheduling and insurance questions. I had my wisdom teeth removed here and the healing was quicker than I expected. I've also seen a few different providers and everyone has been kind and informative. They're good about explaining things--I've picked up better flossing habits over time. Cleanings are straightforward, fluoride is quick, and the view during appointments is a nice bonus. This office has been a really reliable place for dental care which is why I've stayed with them for so long.

The office was nice, the people were nice, the scheduling was very flexible, so when I finally became insured, I knew my teeth weren't in good shape, but I made an appointment to start what was sure to be a long dental journey. Boy was I wrong. The first thing was the cleanliness, or lack of. The chair/area I was seated in, was VERY dirty. The overhead light was completely covered with, IDK what you call it, when you floss and flecks of debris fly out of your mouth and hit the mirror, I am sure it has an official name, but whatever it is called, the light looked like it hadn't been wiped or washed in quite a long time. But then the hygienist kept touching the light to move it around, then kept putting her fingers in my mouth, to take an X-ray. And I know it must be a real pain to change gloves constantly, but you cannot go into the other room, use the computer and the keyboard, adjust the light, and touch God knows what else, and then put your fingers in my mouth. I was horrified and kept thinking to myself, this cannot be normal. The worst part, and the reason for the tears, was that I had been looking forward to going to the dentist for awhile. I had a few problems with different teeth, I definitely needed a cleaning, and I had very recently lost one of my front teeth in an accident, so I was very eager to make a plan for that. When the dentist came into the room, after looking at my X-rays, I was told that all they could and would do, is pull all of my teeth and give me dentures. I was in no way prepared to hear this news, and it very much devastated me. I asked about fixing the one missing tooth, and was told insurance wouldn't pay for it, since apparently dentures seemed to be my only option. But if I wanted to pay for it myself, I was quoted $1400. And that was it. No cleaning? Nope, not going to waste time cleaning your teeth when we are just going to rip them all out. Sadly, my experience was not at all was I had expected. My husband still goes, and has no problem. But me and my teeth have moved on to a place that let me keep my teeth.
