I've been going to Mint Dental since 2018 and it's been a consistent experience overall. The front…read moredesk is easy to work with, especially for scheduling and insurance questions. I had my wisdom teeth removed here and the healing was quicker than I expected. I've also seen a few different providers and everyone has been kind and informative. They're good about explaining things--I've picked up better flossing habits over time. Cleanings are straightforward, fluoride is quick, and the view during appointments is a nice bonus. This office has been a really reliable place for dental care which is why I've stayed with them for so long.

I left in tears. Although I was not previously a patient, (due to no insurance), my husband was,…read moreand this seemed like a great place to go for dental needs. The office was nice, the people were nice, the scheduling was very flexible, so when I finally became insured, I knew my teeth weren't in good shape, but I made an appointment to start what was sure to be a long dental journey. Boy was I wrong. The first thing was the cleanliness, or lack of. The chair/area I was seated in, was VERY dirty. The overhead light was completely covered with, IDK what you call it, when you floss and flecks of debris fly out of your mouth and hit the mirror, I am sure it has an official name, but whatever it is called, the light looked like it hadn't been wiped or washed in quite a long time. But then the hygienist kept touching the light to move it around, then kept putting her fingers in my mouth, to take an X-ray. And I know it must be a real pain to change gloves constantly, but you cannot go into the other room, use the computer and the keyboard, adjust the light, and touch God knows what else, and then put your fingers in my mouth. I was horrified and kept thinking to myself, this cannot be normal. The worst part, and the reason for the tears, was that I had been looking forward to going to the dentist for awhile. I had a few problems with different teeth, I definitely needed a cleaning, and I had very recently lost one of my front teeth in an accident, so I was very eager to make a plan for that. When the dentist came into the room, after looking at my X-rays, I was told that all they could and would do, is pull all of my teeth and give me dentures. I was in no way prepared to hear this news, and it very much devastated me. I asked about fixing the one missing tooth, and was told insurance wouldn't pay for it, since apparently dentures seemed to be my only option. But if I wanted to pay for it myself, I was quoted $1400. And that was it. No cleaning? Nope, not going to waste time cleaning your teeth when we are just going to rip them all out. Sadly, my experience was not at all was I had expected. My husband still goes, and has no problem. But me and my teeth have moved on to a place that let me keep my teeth.

I went here for years and do NOT recommend. They consistently overcharge and I had enough when they…read moredecided to do an extra procedure on my daughter without coming to me first. She was taken from the lobby and then waited by herself in a room for 45 minutes before being seen by anyone. The extra procedure they did on her was $1,000 extra and they had no problem billing that amount. The extra procedure took 3 days to recover from and I would not have said yes to it. I called several times to speak with a manager and despite leaving messages with people and on voicemail, the manager never responded. I just got calls from the front desk asking to be paid. When I told them that I was changing dentists and wanted to leave with no bills they said I was squared up -owed nothing. Months later they called me about a payment that they found I owed. I could go on and on, but not worth any more of my time. This place is overpriced and unprofessional.

My sister's been a nurse for years and the dental hygienist berated her about her presumably high blood pressure. She then went into depth about "teaching" her about her teeth and gums, and proceeded to poke her gums until her entire mouth was bleeding. She felt shamed and violated. This woman should be held accountable and/or fired. The appt was around 11 on November 3rd. I'm guessing she has had other complaints. And you've just lost a client who also owns her own business and has sent people to this dental office as well.

I used to live in Anchorage between 2006-2010 and came to this office back when Dr. Zemlicka was…read morestill here (he retired August 2015). Upon relocating in Sept, I was due for a teeth cleaning and gave their office a ring to see about getting set up for an appointment, as all my previous experiences here were very positive. I found the same professional atmosphere and friendliness that I remembered. From the front desk receptionist, to the dental assistants, to the current Dr-in-charge, everyone was very friendly and made the experience enjoyable; as enjoyable as a dentists office can be ;). They even still had previous dental records on file which was very nice to find out. My after visit communications with the front desk staff have been very timely and responsive as well. So far so good, I would recommend this office.

I had a horrible office experience. When I walked into the Anchorage Dental Arts office, the front…read moredesk receptionist was rude, pretending to be on the phone until my mother came in. Most of the employees and the doctor were in the office, but usually there are only two or one in the office, including the front desk receptionist. That day was different (which had never happened to me before), and it seemed like they were making sure I didn't have a fit (which I didn't) or have any problem, which I find very unprofessional and immature. After my mother came in, she hung up the phone, and most of the employees and the doctor disappeared from the office, except for two or one, including the front desk receptionist, as I said before, which again I find very unprofessional and immature. After the front desk receptionist hung up the phone, she briefly stared at me and looked away while other clients or customers were waiting, which I find unusual because every time I go to Anchorage Dental Arts, I rarely see that many clients or customers waiting at the office. I believe it is a setup, at least that's what I think. Anyway, the front desk receptionist made me stand there like an idiot or a fool until I sat down by myself. At least the front desk receptionist could tell me to sit down or something, but she didn't. While I was sitting down and waiting, the front desk receptionist came out of the office and helped and talked with the other clients or customers, but did not say anything to me, which I find very rude. The front desk receptionist did not say anything to me at all until I left without any problem with my mother. I would like to say this again. I believe it is a setup, at least that's what I think.
