I guess because he thought the numbing gel was suppose to numb things he could stick the needle in and move it in any direction he wanted to. When doing a cleaning his tool caught my lip and was pinching it against my tooth i tried to move my lip and he got angry. When he pulled my tooth he was yanking and hit my front tooth. That front tooth cost me a lot of money. Its a cap and it hurt so i touched it to make sure it was ok and the doctor got very curt telling me to put my hands down and do not raise them again. I was thinking," your right I raise them again I'm going to jail. You think you can talk to me like that and treat me this way?" The next tooth he pulled he didnt try to yank he added slow pressure like they are taught to do. Too bad he did not remember with the first one. Its wierd how hard they were to pull when he said they were severely infected and unsavable. My body seemed to disagree. Its ok i wanted one of them pulled anyway but lying is a huge peeve of mine. I dont understand why he would do it and why he thought I would not know. Was it because we were in mountain view? His staff looked freaked out a little when I told them I am a vetran and i would be running any prescriptions by the VA pharmacy. Turns out the VA will not fill it since dentist are not covered by the VA community care but still I am letting the VA know. That was just wierd. She actually has a support system you do not mess with. I guess if you treated everyone the same your staff would not freeze and get bug eyed when they find out I'm educated and not on welfare. Them doing everything in one visit and the staff is why it gets 4 stars. The assistant running the vac I think was in training too. Everything seemed an oh yah moment for her but thats ok. I dont mind training with me. Not having to make a different visit for everything is what would make me recommend it. Plus i am told other people were making visits in Wasilla because none were available in town and BTY was willing to get me in the very same day. Sometimes you sacrifice bedside manner to get what you want when you need it.

I think if she didn't talk as much it would've been faster. This was a full 2 hour appointment. Even getting a root canal I've never been at a dentist for 2 hours. They "offer" fancy stuff like paraffin Wax, hot wraps, movie glasses. But I say offer lightly. I was offered the hot wrap but nothing else. The massage chair is just an uncomfortable vibration. No thanks. All that has to be paid for somehow. Their prices make getting necessary work done impossible from a cost perspective even with insurance. They're super out of the way too. So nothing about it makes sense to go back. Went on a coworker referral so had much higher hopes. The one good thing is they give you replacement heads for electric toothbrushes which is awesomeness

It's important to me that I found a place that took military insurance and a place that had good people and good results. I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out and had a cap put on my teeth. They took very good care of me while I was being sedated and after the procedure. I had concerns about my stitches a couple days after I gave them a call and was in the next day. I liked that he was even more into the mountains than I was, and that he also knew what he was doing but, even more importantly: was a good communicator. Adam is great at explaining the science and theory behind everything going on with your teeth, and will tell you how much you can expect to pay out of pocket, and even if you should or should not get a procedure. There are no obnoxious scare-tactics or hard-sells here! (a reason I've left dentists in the past) It had been 5 years since I had had a dental visit. And, rather than guilt-trip me, Adam used a data-driven approach based on x-rays and inspection (rather than heresay as at some other Dentists in town) to decide what I needed to make up for this lapse. They also do a nice job of threading the needle when it comes to over and under treatment; I trust their advice when they say we can wait and monitor or it's time to deal with a problem.
