Tom Laws, the owner, was great to work with and he explained everything I had questions about. His crew, headed by Elvin, worked quickly but carefully and cleaned up perfectly after themselves. We used Myers and Laws because they were recommended by the Town of Washington Grove as the best in the area - they give the best prices and a job well done.

Thankfully the day arrived during the spring of 2022 when I saw the first-rate work Rock Creek Tree, Turf & Landscape completed on my neighbor's yard. I knew I found the company to help me with my heavy-duty landscaping conundrum. Working with Jimmy Lazas who visited my house twice was very easy. He took time to understand my priorities and qualified them with precision on paper. More importantly Jimmy is a great guy! He is super nice, he knows his trade, and he's got a can-do attitude. I am glad to have heeded Jimmy's advice to install a bamboo barrier to help keep neighbor's weeds roots from entering my newly restored garden. Yet it was the team of men who completed the work on my new pollinator's garden who deserve my praise. They were most kind, easy to work with and did considerable heavy lifting. On-site manager Kevin took time to hear of my concern while the job unfolded and was happy to make a slight adjustment. When all was said and done, the men working on my job cleaned up my backyard to perfection. Rock Creek TT&L has given me a brand new pollinator's garden of Blue Ribbon quality with ample drainage to ensure the health of future plantings.

I am writing this review regarding my experience with Chapingo Tree Care Service (CTCS), located at…read more3558 Worthhington Blvd., Frederick, MD 21704. My Homeowners Association hired CTCS to remove a massive mature tree located behind my property. While the tree was safely cut down, the work was left incomplete. The large tree stump was not ground down, and large logs, limbs, and debris were left approximately six feet from my patio door, creating an unsightly appearance in my backyard. What concerns me most is that the logs and debris from the same tree that were behind my neighbor's property were moved farther back into the wooded area, while the debris behind my property was left in place. When I questioned the tree care manager and owner about this inconsistency, I was told that an HOA Board member instructed them to leave the debris where it was. Although I understand that contractors often follow their client's instructions, I believe a professional company should also take pride in completing a job fairly and consistently whenever possible. Leaving one homeowner with an unfinished result while providing a cleaner outcome for another reflects poorly on the quality and fairness of the service. As a homeowner, I pay HOA fees with the expectation that contracted work will be completed to an acceptable standard. In my opinion, CTCS completed only part of the project and accepted an outcome that left my property looking unfinished. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. While they may perform quality work when directed to do so, my experience suggests they will leave a job incomplete if instructed by a client, even when the result is inconsistent and unfair to the affected homeowner.

Seeing that they also ruined living conditions for many hard working farmers was eye opening. Terrible company that shouldn't be allowed to have a license.

Instead of just trimming them he removed several large branches basically ruining their appearance. Left way too many large chunks of wood from stump grindings. The good: Impressive equipment and crew size, very quickly went to work cutting down large maple, the man in the lift was very impressive at maneuvering around cutting limbs before cutting main trunk. The man operating the vehicle feeding the limbs into the chipper was impressive as well. The bad: destroyed the appearance of my two maple trees by deck, were supposed to raise so that my lawn guy could mow under them without hitting his head, instead they totally removed main branches totally changing the trees appearance and removing our shade in late afternoon. Left a mess of roots and chipped wood after I had paid an extra $500 to have that removed.
