Emailed the dealership and was sent a reply from Randy Todd (internet sales), and within few hours was give a deal that liked and was able to do everything online/email. Went to many other dealerships like south loop Hyundai, and was very upset with the sales and manager, as they use internet inquiries to lie about numbers and call you in but can't do the sale. Had a wonderful experience with randy. Will recommend to others every time. read more

My husband and I have purchased two cars from here. We had a wonderful experience and will continue to give them our business. Jeff Bogle was the sales manager we had hewas kind and we didn't have to do the back and forth "haggle" that you have to do at most places. Once we were in finance the paperwork was explained thoroughly and frank made sure we were offered the warranties that suited us best. We have also been getting our oil changes and maintenance done here as well they offer loaners if you need work that will take a while so you won't have to waste the whole day waiting. I highly recommend this dealership they are friendly, knowledgable with their cars, and bonus have complementary soda, nachos, popcorn, and hotdogs! Will defiantly return for my next car. read more

you are better off servicing your car yourself then taking it to this location to be serviced. i read the reviews and still made the mistake of scheduling my appointment anyway. long story short on the paper they give you after they service your car telling you what they all fixed, they said they fixed something on my vehicle and put in a plastic cover so the piece would stay in place. It was a minor issue but the fact that they said they fixed it, and when i got in my vehicle and was on my way home on 45 i noticed my that missing nail in my sitting wheel was NOT there with NO plastic cover on it. i took my car back, they pulled it back into the service area THEN told me they were unable to fix it although the paper they gave me said they did more than fix it. secondly, i had my car for a week now and i'm just not receiving a email about how they serviced my car and what else it needs. why wasn't this discussed upon pick up? or, even better, when they had my car why didn't y'all call me and ask would i like to go head and knock those things out as well. just to put the icing on the cake ALL of the representatives who answered the phones were rude as hell. i won't be bringing my vehicle back to this location. read more

I can't speak for the sales department, but the service department here is really outstanding. Jessica was my service adviser and I won't be taking my car to see anyone else. She got my car in weeks before any other Hyundai dealership in Houston, and got it back SAME DAY. Jessica was up front with me, which I always appreciate, and there was no hidden costs or negative portion to my experience. They fixed an issue that the Hyundai dealership in Bryan caused, and ended up saving me over $300, as well as fixing a few issues free of charge (including a recall the other dealership failed to inform me about). I normally really hate getting my car serviced but their service dept is extremely efficient. My car hasn't run better since I bought it, it drives like a champ now. Really happy I found North Freeway Hyundai rather than the surrounding dealerships. Go there and ask for Jessica!!! read more

My first contact with this dealership was through their service department on my 2014 Sonata Hybrid. The service persons were excellent and had me back on the road relatively quickly for a battery issue. I was without my car for about 4 days, but they kept in contact and kept me informed. Today we went back and traded in the 2014 Sonata for a 2018 Sant Fe Sport. The Internet sales man, Randy, was nothing short of great. I had submitted my info via the website on there closed day (Sunday), and he responded throughout the day (even though he was off). This afternoon we went to go close the deal; although the vehicle was not ready for me at the door, my wife and I enjoyed his persona and that he was able to meet my requests. Randy got me $1,275 more than I requested on my trade-in (I requested well above what KBB and other websites said I should expect) and met my monthly budget with no hassle. The financier Mike was just as professional, explained everything clearly, gave me a break on a full care and gap package and came as close to my price on that as he could. His final offer was slightly more than I hoped for, but it was very acceptable. I was in and out of this dealership in 2.5 hours as I had performed all my research, submitted for financing online, and knew exactly what we wanted between two vehicles and just had to test drive and complete financing. This is my fastest purchase yet thanks to very capable employees we excel at customer service. Thank you! read more

So disappoint in Hyundai. We got a fun car 2017 Veloster turbo. We have had it from October and this is the 4th time it's needing to go to the shop for losing power. My husband has almost been killed 2x from this car losing power and now no dealer wants to give him a car so they can look at it to fix it. A brand new car that won't run is so horrible it really makes us question rather you can trust them. Plus the service care person won't return calls when she says they will. Of course when you take it to the deal they of course think they fixed it but less than 100 miles broken again. NO POWER is not good getting on the freeway or passing folks on a two lane road. read more

Randy Todd and North Fwy Hyundai gave me the best deal on a certified pre-owned vehicle that was practically new! Randy had the car out front waiting for me. He just handed me the keys and told me to take it for a drive. They have many more cars with eqaully great deals. I suggest everyone go see Randy Todd as soon as possible to get the great deals before they realize it's practically a steal. There was no haggle, no pressure, no bait and switch. The cars are priced to sell and everyone there is professional. I know where my next car will come from. read more

My wife and I stopped in on Thursday, February 5th to test drive a pre-owned 2012 Sienna Ltd AWD. Our Salesman Darryn Bolden had been in touch with me the day before to make sure he was ready for us that morning. When he arrived he had the vehicle ready for us to take it out on the road. He was very courteous and let us do our test drive without any pressure. The wife liked the vehicle and wanted me to start the negotiation process. After pointing out some of the issues I had which included no second 'smart' key [~$450], not installing proper run flat tires [~$500] (since AWD models do not have a spare), and windshield trim not properly secured, I had my price I wanted to pay which was just under $30k provided they furnish a second 'smart' key. My price was based on an average value from KBB, Edmunds, Cargurus.com, and BlackBook. Granted this dealership has one of the highest Dealer Doc Fees of $195 which you have to consider as well. Anyway, his final price was $29.9+++ without the 'smart' key. Deal was a no go. Fast forward a week and the same van is now listed at $29,988 down from $34,988. So I did what most people interested in a vehicle would do call Darryn back. This time I present my offer of $29k flat and include the second 'smart' key and I would drive the car away that same day. His response was, "For $29,988 if you want it we can deal!" Needless, to say he was not willing to sell the vehicle to me. At the end of that day, I need to make sure the wife and kids are happy. Happy family = happy Daddy! So after browsing the reviews looking for the "Salesman of the Year", I was able to locate Chris Garcia. I left Chris a VM that very same day and give him my offer on the van. 15-mins later I was on the phone and he presented my number to his manager Chris. Unfortunately, Chris' manager would not accept my offer....however, literally 2-mins later I get a call from Chris and we met in the middle and I got the van my family wanted. Moral of the story be persistent and/or have Chris Garcia come to bat for you! Chris was very personable and made sure that I didn't leave that dealership with a bad experience. He did what every salesman should do and that's to work the deal so that both parties come out winning. Props to Chris Garcia for making the deal happen. Thanks for the stuff animals, the kids won;t let them out of their sites. ;-) Good luck and I will work on my referrals. I needed to add that this dealership is in a brand new location, brand new building, and looks amazing. It even has a cappuccino machine, refrigerated water, and the new Coke Machine that has 100's of flavors. Very clean and friendly staff to talk to while waiting on the finance guy. They are nice people but... I wouldn't expect ASE certified mechanics to go about solving an issue by throwing parts at it. And it is especially aggravating when some of those "immediate required repairs" Have no effect on the issue that the customer is having. Like let's say telling the customer their battery is bad because its not OEM. And the bad battery could cause computer issues (possibly) but the battery that is in the car exceeds OEM specs, and has been tested by 3 different battery retailers and checks out as GOOD. Those battery retailers want you to buy batteries and when they tell a customer you don't need to buy one the customer tends to belive them . Customer complains he has computer issues and they tell him he needs to replace the valve cover gasket. Customers told there's oil all over the engine compartment upon inspection the engine compartment is dry except the oil that is dripping off the air filter because it is an over oilled k&n air filter And that oil is isolated to one spot not interfering with the wiring harness that they claim is soaked in oil (its dry) . All the customer wanted was to have his ECM tested and instead walked away with a $3500 bill on a car that's worth $1500. And was told that they cannot test the ECM unless they were replaced everything that's on the required repair list. Instead of actually fixing the customer's issue which turned out to be a SIMPLE blown fuse for the ECM (I am actually ashamed I didn't figure it out but I'm also not an ASE certified mechanic) they offer to sell the customer parts after parts after parts. They have no interest in helping the customer out they only have interest in taking your money but it is a business so it shouldn't be too surprising. It's just kind of sad that ASE certified mechanics couldn't figure it out read more

Service Department is the worst. Bought a 2021 top of the line Santa Fe Calligraphy three months ago that has had a rattle in the dash from day one and that developed an oil leak about a week ago. When I dropped the car off, I told the service tech that the rattle was intermittent and showed Vanessa precisely where the rattle was coming from. After my car had been in there four days, they still had not fixed the rattle, but worse yet said they wouldn't even attempt to fix the rattle since they couldn't duplicate it. This, despite the fact that I told them the rattle was intermittent and pointed out exactly where the rattle was coming from. The next morning I spoke to Brandon, the Service Manager, who assured me that he, or someone else, would call me back in a couple of hours. Nine hours later at 5PM, I still had not heard back from anyone. When I called back I got put on hold for ten minutes then transferred to a voicemail. Called back two more times and got hung up on as soon as someone picked up the phone. UPDATE: I texted Brandon around 5PM yesterday and he said his boss, Tim Shite, was supposed to call me yesterday. He didn't, of course, but Brandon said Tim would call me this morning. This morning Tim didn't call me as promised (big surprise), the original service tech called me and said they aren't going to fix the problem. So, I've got a brand new top of the line Santa Fe that's had a rattle in the dash from day one, they had the car for 5+ days and won't fix the problem unless they can duplicate it, despite the fact that I showed them precisely where the rattle is coming from. UPDATE 2: Tim Shite finally called me back, probably only because of the negative Google reviews, and he said they will not fix the rattle. He also said they will not perform any warranty work on my brand new car at their dealership in the future. I was dumbfounded. So, if you purchase a car from this dealership and get frustrated by their incompetence, apparently their solution is not to examine the roll their incompetence played in making you angry, their solution is to refuse to perform warranty service on your car. Keep this in mind if you ever think about buying a car from that dealership. UPDATE 3: Before heading down to pick up my car, I tried phoning the Service Department, because I needed to ask a question before making the hour long drive down to the dealership. The receptionist told me that Tim Shite had left (that was a lie BTW), so I asked to speak to Vanessa and got transferred to a voicemail. I called back and said I needed to talk to one of them before driving down there and, long story short, the receptionist told me they did not want to talk to me. Imagine a dealership having your brand new $45,000 car, refusing to fix a problem and then the receptionist telling you that the Service Department will not take your call. These people are not only incompetent, they are unbelievably unprofessional. I told the receptionist that I needed to talk to one of them before I left and that I would continue to phone back until they took my call, but every time I called the receptionist either put me on hold or just hung up on me. After hitting redial 40 times, I realized it was a losing battle, so I shot an email to the owner of the dealership and told him that I will be filing a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's office. Almost immediately, Tim Shite called me back. He didn't call to find out what I needed, he called to tell me that he had phoned the police and that I would be charged with criminal trespass if I tried to pick up my car. These people provoked me to anger with their incompetence and then had the gall to falsely accuse me of threatening them. Fortunately I have recordings of every call I made to them, so I can easily prove that I never made any kind of threats. Needless to say, I will also be contacting an attorney. If this is the kind of customer service you want when you buy a $45,000 car, then shop at this dealership; however, this is the last Hyundai I will ever buy. read more

After many years (yes, years) of research and contemplating upgrading to an SUV, my husband and I finally purchased a 2017 Hyundai Tucson Limited from North Freeway Hyundai. We had a very specific list of requirements for our vehicle and I had a bottom line price in mind. I wanted to be that person that gets an exceptional price on TrueCar.com, and I succeeded! I sent a detailed email with my list of features and our budget to six Houston area Hyundai dealers. This email was not just a test of whether the dealer had the car I wanted at a price I wanted, but also a test of whether they would honor my request for transparency up front. Kerry Smith (KSmith@NFHyundai.com) from North Freeway responded with two options for our vehicle and pricing for both. When we arrived to test drive the vehicle it was ready out front for us. Kerry was available to answer all of our questions but didn't linger needlessly as we explored the vehicle, and he even suggested we test drive the car on our own. He honed in on what we were interested in about the vehicle (tech features, safety, warranties) and didn't bother wasting our time on things we didn't care about (engine, technical specs, dealer add-ons). While we were test driving, he appraised our trade in and offered a surprisingly fair price. Before we left that evening, we did talk pricing, and we were about $500 off from my desired price point, but I knew we could make a deal when I returned with a check in hand. Sure enough, we return the next day and I show a competitor's price on an identical vehicle, and Kerry matched it! Overall, Kerry was friendly (but not overbearing) and respected my requests for transparency and efficiency in making a deal. We had to wait about an hour to get in with financing, but the VIP room we were shown to was comfortable with a big screen TV and free sodas, coffee and water. Overall, I thought the entire dealership was clean and nicely updated and all the staff were all consistently cheerful. The financing advisor -- Larry -- was knowledgable, prepared, and efficient as can be when signing so many documents. BONUS POINTS: We brought our well-behaved beagle both times we visited the dealership because I can't bear leaving her in the evenings after working all day, and everyone at the dealership was so nice about her being with us. If you're considering a Hyundai purchase, I would absolutely recommend sending an inquiry to Kerry at North Freeway to see if you can make a great deal! read more

Came in to fix a problem that appear a second time in my 15' Sonata knowing that I would most likely have to take a rental since the last time it took two days to fix Get a call that the technician working on my car damage a part on my car and the part is in back order. It takes two weeks for the part to arrived and I'm guessing a week to installed. I would expect to receive updates on the status from them but no at the end I have to call them to get the updates. They will most likely not provided timely updates unless u call them. Also the manager put me on speakerphone without my knowledge which I saw as very rude. This was my third and last Hyundai. At the end I decided to just trade in my yet unfinished car for its value which is only half of what I bought it for bought for 31k and sold for 16k after only two years and only 13k 2015 Sonata 2.0 Limited so just know that all those fancy expensive options don't mean nothing when u decide to trade it in u be losing a lot of money like I did . read more

I really wish I would have read the recent reviews before purchasing from this lot. I am happy with my vehicle but very disappointed with the service from this dealership and the lack of customer service. I came in on a Friday evening looking to possibly purchase a new vehicle and fell in love with the sonata. When it was time to go over payments, I was only shown the total finance cost by my salesman Gerson. Gerson also stated you get included paint coverage, bumper to bumper for 10 years, towing etc. Being new to the process I thought it was an incentive or additional warranty you receive from purchasing the vehicle. Time to sign the paperwork, when it came to financing Wes only provided me details with gap insurance and when we went through the paperwork, he did not show any brochures or explain anything at all. Just to sign sign sign. As another review stated he would say " click in the colored boxes, he also zoomed in on the screens where you could not see prices of coverages". Only the portion to sign the warranty. It was not until a day later that I was very skeptical of the overall price of the vehicle and started to complete research that I noticed 5 different warranties/coverages were added on. In order to even understand what these coverages where I had to google and research myself. Not one time did anyone explain these coverages or provide me with the option to opt-in or opt-out. I then visited the location and asked to speak with the Manager, who is Chris. Chris was VERY rude and stood firm on the fact that the numbers were presented to me and I wasn't being taken advantage of and that only 3 coverages out of 5 could be canceled. Chris defense was " well you signed it". As if it's okay to add coverages without someone's consent. He constantly told me I wasn't being taken advantage of and that I needed to stop talking and let him talk. I guess not asking someone if they would like the coverage or not, just adding on 5k worth of items and having them sign for it isn't being taken advantage of. He treated me as if I was very uneducated or "dumb". Needless to say, after all this, Tony rectified the situation and EXPLAINED EVERY CHARGE, PIECE OF PAPERWORK ALONG WITH BROCHURES, as it should have been done from the beginning. Overall, I love my vehicle but I would suggest staying away from NorthFreeway Hyundai. This process has taught me a valuable lesson, read every single little inch of paperwork. I was in management and sales for years and it's no way I would speak to a customer the way Chris spoke to me nor would I try to get over on a female as Wes and Gerson did. If you do happen to do business with them read everything and DO NOT TRUST GERSON, WES OR CHRIS! I would suggest working with Tony! read more

I have had horrible customer service at North Freeway Hyundai. When the car was less than two years old, with only 10,500 miles on it, the vehicle completely died while we were in Houston. Came to a dead stop and had to be pushed off the road. We had it towed to North Freeway Hyundai. They said it was a due to a a bad connection from the power circuit that had not been installed properly at the factory also the small battery was dead and replaced it, "with a new battery", according to them. 2 months later we could not open the car doors or start the car. I originally thought it was the fobs. I replaced the batteries in the fobs $3.99, inadvertently breaking one of the fobs. A tow truck came to tow the car into the dealership but discovered that the supposedly new car battery was not new and just an old out of date shop battery instead. The tow truck driver jumped the car and I drove it into the dealership. The service department replaced the car battery and I ordered a new fob. I received a phone call saying my fob was in so drove to the dealership only to find out they had given my fob to someone else. I drove down a third time paid $280.27 for the fob $72.50 for labor $21.17 MISC. charges and $24.87 sales tax for a total of $398.81 the new fob had been placed in my car and when I got home I discovered there was no key in it so I had to drive down a fourth time to get the key. I purchased a brand new Santa Fe (2017). The Apple CarPlay never worked as it would not read back messages. I took it back several times and they kept saying there was nothing wrong with it but would not get in the car and go anywhere with me to show that it didn't work. They tried telling me it was my Apple phone. I explained that I had A job traveling five days a week and was in a different rental car every week of the year many times two different cars and never had a problem. I finally wrote a letter to the owner but all he did was hand it over to the service manager and then he called and reamed me out telling me it was my problem not his. Also I took my car in there for the first 5000 mile oil change and they told me I needed alignment! I told him I just bought the car. The service writer said that Houston has bad roads. Needless to say I was having a fit because I've always put well over 200,000 miles on cars because I take great care of them. Finally the Mechanic came out and said I did not need alignment that the slight degree that it was off was perfectly acceptable. Five years later when I took the car in for recall I knew before I got there they were going to try to find something else and what did they do... " your car needs Alignment". I asked how they determined that because I never saw it anywhere but on the rack where they were doing the recall work and the only response was... well we see that you haven't been in here for a long time. There is a reason for that. Had it not been for recall work I would never have set foot there again. read more

I would like to tell you about the worst customer experience I had with one of your dealers in Houston : North Freeway Hyundai. Last week we contacted the above dealer in Houston, from our home in San Antonio, Texas hoping to find and purchase a 2011 Black Hyundai Elantra. After confirming that they had just received a black Elantra, I worked over the next few days to provide all the information needed for the credit application process, to get a pre approval before driving to Houston. While collecting the information, I was asked by the sales agent at this location (Rose Marie) to organize my information and provide specific details exactly as she directed me. After doing so, I was told that I had been approved, so all I had to do was drive to Houston to finalize the paper work in person and pick up the car. Once, we arrived and after waiting almost an hour, we were told that we had been declined because of specific information, that I provided that was put together exactly as I was directed to do. After, I was told this, I was very angry because I had been told I was already approved and that the only thing to be determined was my exact interest rate and final payment amount. Therefore, I asked to speak to the finance manager who reluctantly came in, to explain what happened as quickly as possible and agreed that if I had provided our information in a different format we would have been approved. However, as I asked more questions, he started to get rude and Rose Marie pulled the quick reference guide booklet out of my wife's hands, as if we were going to take it with us. I left the dealership so disillusioned and angry for how I was treated and the fact that that day we drove a total of 7 hours, only to return with no car. Later on that same evening, I called the Sales Manager at North Freeway Hyundai, who was just as apathetic about the whole incident and did not offer any help to resolve the matter or at least offer to pay my gas expenses given that they had given me very bad advice. To prove how bad North Freeway Hyundai in Houston is and how they completely gave us bad advice, the next day, we went to World Car Hyundai in San Antonio to purchase a 2011 Desert Bronze Elantra and were approved right away, with a much lower interest rate and monthly payment than North Freeway Hyundai had first offered. As a matter of fact, our customer service experience with World Car Hyundai in San Antonio was so painless and effortless that I could not believe the contrast from the day before. Slimy. Stay away from this dealer. They will try to add ridiculous documentation fees after the deal was already negotiated. You will have to fight to get them removed. Really shady business tactics. Purchased a used car. Everything seemed fine. Got home and realized that night that the tail lights weren't working. Called the next day and was told the car was sold as is. We would have to pay to get it fixed. I am amazed that a dealer would treat their customers like that. I guess good for them that they got one over on me. I have bought atleast 6 Hyundais from north freeway Hyundai and humble Hyundai, (both are owned by the same person) in 5 years. PRETTY DAMN LOYAL!!!!! When I bought my last Hyundai Santa Fe from north freeway Hyundai I paid a lot of extra money to get the bumper to bumper 100,000 mile warranty. The premium warranty which they did not ask me or tell me that there were different levels. I will never ever buy a Hyundai from North freeway Hyundai again. I am having a mechanical issue with my Santa Fe, And I took the car in to have it checked out. When I arrived for my appointment they told me I would have to pay $101.00 diagnostic charge. I bought there premium extended warranty for hundreds of dollars, why in the hell do I have to pay for a diagnostic charge!!!!!!! I am also having AC problems which I took in 3 times and it was never fixed. Needless to say, I will never buy from this company again or take one of my vehicles to them to work on!!!!!! @$#% read more

I made an appointment for 7am. The person the appointment was with was not there. My car doesn't get seen til 720. A routine oil change turns out to be 110 bucks cause I "need" a new cabin filter. Then there is no cashier til 8. So you have to go to the front. Then the carwash is "frozen". The manager can apologize as much as he wants. That doesn't do anything for me. Get your customer service together, and run a more efficient operation. Hopefully the place in Conroe is better. read more

Horrible customer service and just flat out ridiculously obnoxious and cocky salesmen who all take a smoke break together
