I've had two annual physicals with Dr. Tagdiri's team, and both experiences have been thorough and personable. My most recent visit was with Sara Mihalko (PA), who clearly took the time to prepare for our appointment. She walked me through each aspect of my lab results with care, asking insightful questions about my overall health. Sara also provided thoughtful recommendations and clear action steps to help optimize my health, all while ensuring I never felt rushed. The front desk staff has also been excellent, with clear communication and efficient billing. It's refreshing to have a local, neighborhood practice rather than a large, impersonal clinic. 1 Star -- Extremely Disappointing and Heartless Experience…read more My 90-year-old wheelchair-bound mother, my husband, and I have all been patients of Perlman Clinic. After what happened today, all three of us will be leaving the practice. I had an 11:00 AM appointment for my mother, but the office called and changed it to 10:40 AM, insisting she needed a 40-minute appointment. I explained that we did not need 40 minutes, but they insisted. Getting my 90-year-old mother out of the house is extremely difficult. I drove 30 minutes to pick her up, helped get her into the car, and then drove another 25 minutes to the clinic. Knowing I would be late, I called the office ahead of time to let them know. I arrived approximately 15 minutes late. My mother was still sitting in the car while I went inside to get help transferring her into a wheelchair. I explained the situation, that she was in pain and needed to see a doctor, and pleaded with them to please see her. They refused. What was most upsetting was the complete lack of compassion toward a 90-year-old, wheelchair-bound patient. The staff's response felt cold, dismissive, and aggressive. There was no attempt to accommodate the situation or show understanding of what it took to get my elderly mother to that appointment. My mother had been a patient of the medical practice Perlman took over for approximately 50 years. After decades as a patient, this is how she was treated. This is also not my first frustrating experience. I have personally waited 20-30 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time at this practice, yet there was no flexibility when an elderly patient arrived 15 minutes late after her appointment had been changed by the office. I have also been disappointed by what I perceive as a lack of continuity and experience among some of the providers I've encountered, as well as frequent referrals to outside specialists rather than having concerns addressed directly. The front-office experience has been particularly disappointing. I have witnessed behavior that I consider unprofessional, including staff chatting about personal matters in the waiting area. Two employees, Gavin and Cezon, were particularly rude and aggressive during today's interaction. Healthcare should involve more than policies and appointment times. It should involve compassion, especially when dealing with elderly and vulnerable patients. Perlman Clinic failed my mother today. After this experience, I no longer have confidence in this practice. All three of us will be finding healthcare elsewhere.

His name is Robert Sanchez, a nurse with the Integrative Medicine Center. Robert was so kind, understood I was very nervous, and explained everything I would experience. His compassion was really sincere, and his knowledge made everything he said completely understandable to me, a layman. By the time Robert explained each and every detail, I was feeling more settled. He had a great presence that I found very comforting and helpful, and much appreciated. Robert has excellent teaching qualities, as well as his nursing abilities. He is excellent at his job, and is a definite credit to Scripps, and an absolute blessing to me. Well done, Robert, and heartfelt thanks for helping me thru the experience! I believe we are quick to complain, but not as quick to praise, and I didn't want to pass up this chance to say how much I appreciated Robert and all of his efforts. Thank you for the opportunity to give credit to someone I felt went 'over and above' in what he did for me. Scripps is definitely the BEST, and employees such as Robert, are what makes it the best! Thanks and blessings to all of you!

Unfortunately, I do not have a primary care physician nor do I wish to align with one. For a…read moremultitude of reasons which are irrelevant here I do not believe in the primary care model therefore I'm very interested in the integrative/functional approach and was excited to see that Scripps had many providers in the IM and FM space. However, as I was quickly told without a primary care existing relationship and referral, I could not utilize their services. You realize this is completely counterintuitive to the entire reason why a patient would seek out integrative care, especially as in my case where I do not believe in or subscribe to a primary care model. I'm not interested in replacing a PCP model with integrative care. I'm interested specifically in integrative services as they relate to HRT and related women's health in this case. Not for primary care. However, to force me to go to seek a primary care physician just to get a referral is counterintuitive and defeats the whole purpose for someone seeking integrative care.
