A must-try if around the area. I knew from the photos of the lattes that these folks have their microfoam right. The syrups are all made in-house which is a HUGE check mark. There is a drive thru + beautiful and plentiful spaces to sit with plenty of light. The staff and owners were so incredibly friendly. I had a latte with Cardamom and brown sugar. It was lovely. The design of their coffee cups is beautiful and suits the aesthetic indoors. And lastly, it was Easter weekend when I visited and I stumbled upon the most amazing egg hunt of my life. The staff hid plastic eggs around the store, and plenty. They encouraged us to find 1 each and I won a $15 gift card and my partner won a beautiful, re-usable glass. The gesture of seeing the owners give back to their community and seeing them welcome us passerbyers to partake in the fun meant so much. Everywhere I go in the world, I stop at local coffee shops. Stopped in during a vacation earlier this summer. We got two iced drinks- a brownstone latte and a caramel coast latte. Coffee was just ok- priced fairly. Was expecting more from a small shop. I have been visiting my sister in the area and this spot has been a family favorite forever. It's small, but quaint. The breakfast sandwiches were on point, which was nice because they are a little spendy at $7 a pop. Cold brew flight was meh for $15, but I appreciate the effort and the opportunity to taste test. Great staff, amazing pastries, however the espresso was sour and acrid. I cant even finish it. Perhaps the extraction/temperature is off.

Upon entering, you're greeted with a sunny setting and a mixture of seating options. The staff was friendly and responsive! I ordered one of their signature lattes (with maple and brown sugar). When I got it, it was too espresso-forward for me and not sweet enough so when I asked for the barista to add more flavoring she was so gracious! FYI that if you like your beverages on the sweeter side, add for more flavoring when you order. The baked goods are to die for! We got a slice of blueberry lemon bread and a blueberry scone. All baked locally and delicious. We also purchased 2 sandwiches that were wrapped in a "grab and go" section. Looking forward to trying them tomorrow. Was vacationing in the area recently an pretty much the first thing we scope out in any area is--where's the coffee? Not that we couldn't make coffee at our airbnb cabin, of course, but local coffee shops are always a must on any vacation (that and local bookshops, but I digress). We stopped by here on a couple of occasions. Once for a quick cuppa and to dash out to adventure around the area and a second time to come sit and enjoy a cup over a couple games of cribbage. It's great for both. It's a small shop with a few tables inside as well as a few umbrella adorned tables outside. We sat for a bit outside (lovely) and then when the rain started, headed inside for a cozy afternoon of coffee and cribbage (also lovely). We hit the drive thru for a quick cup of Joe before exploring town while on a camping trip, the wait was a bit long (about 10mins with two cars ahead of us), but the coffee was good! I only ordered one iced coffee, it tasted about the same quality as any big coffee chain- nothing spectacular but will get you a caffeine jolt if you need it:) Parking was limited unless you wanted to drive down the street a bit, but if you do the drive thru it's not a problem. read more

Our go-to coffee place on the peninsula. Specialty drinks are always made to order, and they seem to have enough help to keep the line moving even with the drive-through. Outdoor seating is nice in summer. Breakfast sandwiches are tasty but our favorite is their made-ahead sandwiches. read more

I'm def a fan! This place is just a cute, my friends and I were driving through and couldn't help but stop. I ordered a small soy mocha and it was good! A little sweet but they do use gherradelli chocolate. Something that surprised me was their fridge sandwich. I picked up their ham and pesto and it was so good! 5bucks and there was also a nice aioli on it. Overall it was great My friend also grabbed one of their ice cream sandwiches and it was awesome! While on the way to Bayfield, WI, I was disappointed that there is no caribou or a starbucks. Then we found this coffee shop on a billboard and went to this coffee shop - it is right there on the main road so it is pretty easy to find. We ordered a whole milk latte - about a $1 less than the big chains and served in a nice coffee cup (Ceramic) Then the Kids saw ice cream and wanted to have ice cream - so we got 3 kid cones. Coffee: Really really awesome - Waaaay better than the stuff in Caribou, with great small town hospitality and service. Ice Cream: we tried a bit of the ice cream and we found it to be really good. So, while driving to Duluth - we intentionally took a 20 minute extra drive just to visit this place and all of us had some ice creams. So, I am glad there are no caribou and starbucks here and hope they do not get to this town. This town is blessed to have a place like this. If you live in Wisconsin or Minnesota - if you make a trip just to visit this coffee shop - I will tell you that it is worth it. read more

The service was with a smile and I watched the counter person treat several older customers with great kindness. Cute place -- nice quiet sitting area, plenty of room to relax and unwind especially on a cool late spring day. The scones were phenomenal and the chai tea latte was piping hot and flavorful. I'm a big fan, yet I am a big fan of coffee shops in general! This is something, in my eyes, that Washburn needed. A little coffee shop that serves traditional style coffee and espresso drinks. Very tasty, and made pretty good. I always get a cappuccino... it never fails! (or cold press) It was made just the way I like it. They also had some really good raspberry scones last time I went here. I was highly impressed! They have a pretty big menu, and their prices are pretty low..a lot lower than some here in the cities.. that's for sure! The only thing that I hated, was, when I went in once last winter on my drive back to the cities, I really wanted some cold press.. They didn't have it. It is seasonal here, which makes sense. Washburn is a pretty small town. I really cannot imagine how many people actually stop in daily and want cold press in the wintertime! Huge fan of their ghiradelli mocha! We were headed up to the ice caves and needed a cup of real coffee on the way. The bathroom was super small- had trouble fixing my pants up afterwards due to the narrowness of it. But it was clean. The staff was friendly And fast. I also purchased a bag of whole Beans and loved the Peru roast. Overall a cozy, cute little coffee shop with nice seating, local crafts for sale and excellent Drinks! We will be back. read more

We are spending a few days just outside of Washburn and tried North Coast multiple times despite their inability to take an order correctly. We ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte and Iced Decaf Americano. One day they had to remake the Americano three times to get it right. First it was hot, then it came out with creamer and finally they got it kind of right. Today my wife had to yell the corrections to her order over the drive thru attendants shoulder because she could not remember the order correctly. They work in a pinch but beware. read more

I decided to check out the coffee shop based on the previous positive reviews. Unfortunately, the staff member working the morning I visited was not friendly. She seemed rather annoyed when I asked a few questions. However, I noticed she was a lot nicer to the locals that came and went throughout the morning. Even though it's pretty chilly outside, I still expect a coffee shop to be warm enough to take off my coat. The place was small and the temp. inside was chilly. My fingers were so cold I could barely even type on my computer. I even wore my coat and scarf the whole two hours I was there. As an individual who has worked at a few coffee shops in the past and have also frequented many in the US, CAN, and EU, I was very disappointed.
