Such a great organization full of people who clearly love animals and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pet is happy and healthy. Worth the drive! Got my forever dog and can't be happier

    The more derp the better.

Smelled like urine, so not sure if they get taken outside to potty. The only down side my husband and i had was my dog is definetly not mix chihuahua, but i can understand that when they are all so tiny they all look mix chihuahua. We were told she wouldnt shed at all(which i had told my husband that breed sheds a lot anyways), and last but least my dog would NOT potty train outside what so ever until she was pretty much 6months and would occasionally do it a few months after. I would take her out but she would still pee and poop every day as a pup in her blankets so i sadly i couldnt sleep with her as a baby. I wasnt sure if this was because at her old home (furever home) they were all just allowed to pee where they slept so that's all she knew and brought that bad habit over to us. But either way we love our katie and shes grown up to be such a beautiful and wonderl dog.

We'll never know why because he's adorable, but our little Jack Russell-chihuahua mix had been there for a year. They continue to be great members of our family! I have read the reviews here, read the story from the Olympian, and read the comments. Visiting Furever Homes is overwhelming. Its not a conventional shelter. I have had dogs my whole life. My family raised dogs for the Army, and, in the more than 2 hours we spent with the dogs at Furever Homes, we never saw any dangerous or unsanitary conditions. I am disturbed that folks are willing to gloss over the great work the the Gold family is doing because they don't like the smell of a messy dog kennel. The dogs don't care about the smell. The dogs are alive, safe, well fed, loved, and socialized in a pack (which makes them good doggy citizens out in the real world). Adopt a dog from Furever Homes - it's a great organization.

I was able to add my sweet new family member back in August thanks to Homeward…read more The people are truly all so nice and the facility is extremely clean. They have put a lot of thought into providing the best care for dogs; music in the kennel room, private rooms for dogs that need them, prioritizing special needs dogs getting into foster homes and out of the kennel environment They even go above and beyond by spending time training dogs and puppies in their agility room. Their social media pages follow a few of the same dogs which just shows the dedication the members at Homeward have to maximizing the amount of people to see their adoptable pups. The quality and the passion truly show at Homeward. I am grateful for my dog and the people that took such good care of him at Homeward when he was there.

I've been to several shelters in the past year to adopt and it's been up and down. I went here on a Saturday after work and brought home my fur ever baby girl. I'm a proud happy fur mom . This is the happiest day of my life . I cried so many tears of joy when I was able to adopt my new female dog. I named her Sasha. Previously known as Oldsmobile. Sasha is the absolute sweetest girl ever. Sasha is what my heart needed. As a puppy she is very smart. Introducing to crate has been fairly well. Eating wow this girl can eat, run, do sprints around the house, yard and is super excited. I am too lol. Potty training is going very well in the morning she wakes me up with kisses to say she has to go and stands by door we go out. We have a routine. Totally recommend Homeward Per adoption to everyone. You will never be disappointed. The accept donations from you if your pet has passed away, been surrendered or you just want to donate, food, toys, supplies for dogs and cats. Well, I could continue to give praises all day. Gotta go mommy duty is calling.

We've spent hundreds here and was looking to spend more today. Arms full of merchandise, my wife was masked and observing social distancing while she waited patiently for a family making a purchase to get checked out. After the clerk checked them out she excused herself to help a man still shopping. My wife placed her items on the counter and waited. And waited. I was on the other side of the store while our dog met another cute little dog. When the man and the clerk approached the counter the clerk said to my wife that she was going to take care of him first! This encouraged the man to push into my wife's space abandoning any social distancing etiquette. Mind you, my wife was not asked she was dismissed with a curt disdain like she didn't matter as long as the clerk could keep eagerly talking to this man. Was she pushed aside because she was a smaller Asian woman? We'll never know. My wife stepped aside and I went over to her. She was upset and wanted to abandon the purchase completely. We left the store and I went back in the at least let the lady know why we not completing the purchase and why we would never shop there again. Perhaps predictably, she was full of excuses saying in essence that my waiting wife was secondary to the man she was helping to complete a selection. Soured by this experience, we left Seabrook skipping our usual snack and/or lunch when we visit. Because of this clerk, the other businesses lost out, too. As I noted before, others have had bad customer experiences here. Thing is, people go to Seabrook for the experience not for this clerk that evidently lacks manners let alone forcing the an interaction that flouted social distancing protocols. We can get pet merchandise anywhere so now that the experience of being there is ruined, there is no reason to return. Like others, I am sure this review will trigger a defensive and patronizing response that takes no ownership.
