I had spoken to make an appointment on Monday to have my Scottie's head trimmed. I explained that I was stripping his jacket but, due to my disability, I cannot deal with trimmers. I said that I wanted to have his head trimmed into a Scottie head from all his hair. Whomever I spoke to told me that that would not take very long and decided to schedule it as a "nail appointment" It does not take someone who is proficient very long to do a Scottie head trim as one is just trimming cheeks, ears and a little on the throat and cutting eyebrows. I should have realized I was not dealing with someone who was familiar with Scotties when she asked how big he was. When we went in for his appointment, much to my horror, I discovered that it is also a pseudo dog care and there were loose dogs in the grooming area. I let her know that my dog is not to interact with other dogs and, while she did pick him up, three other dogs were able to interact with him. NOT a desired event for a service dog! I should have left when, as she was looking at him, she told me that he looked just fine for a Scottie head trim. NO, he currently looks like a Westie, not a Scottie with very hairy cheeks! She took a look at the grooming book then decided I needed to make an appointment. I DID make an appointment and was VERY specific about what I had and what I wanted. What can we say, the puppy beauticians are Awesome!!! My daughter needed the full treatment, hair, nails, ears, and anal expression for Halloween. She's dog aggressive, so they were able to bring me in a little prior to opening to avoid a busy rush. Wow!!! She looked so pretty!!!! The ladies were very compassionate to make she feel at home. Not sure what shampoo they use, but it has been 5 days and she still smells sweet and no stinky "Frito" feet. She has naturally long nails and they looked great, along with beautifully cleaned and trimmed ears. She was so proud when we got home and was ready to trick or treat! Loyal customer for many years. Through the years we have often made adjustments to compensate for the owners issues. I will NEVER be going back! She lost a groomer last month and dumped us via voicemail. We waited a month to call and see if anything could be worked out. The owner was rude, argumentative and only wanted to talk about how hard this is for her. She said we would just have to wait until she called us. She is too busy to help us. I guess thinking she's the only game in town justified her total desregard. Honestly, I no longer trust her with my pet. I don't believe anyone should. Pets can't convey disregard or mistreatment, but I can. The groomer that left was the reason we put up with the owner for so !ong. There is no longer any reason to continue. Techs did a great job. They have good dog intuition, interacted well with both my young Aussie and the dogs already on premises and did a fine job bathing and grooming her. Will be a repeat customer. No separation between dogs. Immediately noticed dogs running around loose, I mentioned to the groomer that my dog wants to be alpha and does not work well in a pack of other big dogs (little dogs are cool, but big dogs not so much). First thing off one of the dogs tries humping mine, I mentioned this to the person in charge and she said no big deal. Yeah it is a big deal if you have no control over the dogs! The first time I spoke with the owner she sounded a bit gruff. I thought, "Great another person with the classic crappy Grays Harbor customer service". I realize now that she was literally up to her elbows in dogs and couldn't quite give me the service with a smile that I've come to expect. I have been back many times since and have never had an issue. Dorothy is incredibly friendly and reasonably priced. I was getting grooming done from a person in shores for 15 bucks but I would gladly pay the extra for Dorothy. My dog was happy and stayed clean smelling for weeks!!! I can't stay clean for weeks! Our spoiled puppy loves to go and visit with Dorothy and her dog clients. Just like leaving your child at school the first day we were very concerned about leaving Jazmine the first time, but came back to a happy, well groomed puppy. She has been back several times and always well clipped, smells so good, happy and exhausted from having a playdate with the other dogs. I like that it is small, a limited amount of dogs at a time, the dogs love to greet you as you walk in, they seem happy and Dorothy is always very attentive to the dogs needs. Thank you read more

This was my first time to use Give Me Paws.. Im from California and needed a nice groomer for my baby... I went in a few weeks ago to meet the owner Dorothy and check her and the facilities out.. She was so nice and I could see her love of all dogs(even the barkers) so I knew I wanted to come back... My dog Rico was very happy when I returned and looked and smelled great!! I met all the other dogs that were there that day as I LOVE ALL DOGS and Dorothy feels the same way.. She is truly a dog person... I highly recommend her and I have my own pet sitting business and have dealt with groomers a lot.. You will not be disappointed ... Sadly I'm going home but wish her the best !! I have been taking my dogs here since the change of ownership a while back. The owner has always treated us with such graciousness I can't quite understand the experience of the previous reviewer. I have two dogs and one gets terribly nervous at the groomers and presents a challenge with all of her fatty deposits. Not only does my nervous pup do well while she is there we have never had any problems with any of her grooming. Unless one is looking for show quality I cannot recommend her highly enough. I have to wonder how one reviews a service they didn't even use. I have personally used her many times and, not only have not had any problems, but I really think she does a fine job, cares deeply about the animals and doing well by her customers...all reasons to keep going there. read more

My friend got a call and they said she was lost, that they called the police. and told her the direction she ran. They didn't try to help in any way. Still out looking for her.
