So if that bite was so bad that you need to charge me an additional $50, why can't you recall it? If you have to have a fee that you add for so many dogs biting you, maybe you shouldn't be a groomer. I will be looking into her license and reporting her. My poor pup is super razor burnt, and her little face looks horrible. She has been groomed her entire life and I have never had any issues or her not liking clippers like she said. She only did half of her face! (See photos) If you want to be scammed for hidden fees and a terrible hair cut this is the place to go. The owners response to this and her other reviews are ridiculous! Penelope is our family dog! So to assume she isn't my dog is absolutely ridiculous. And my mother only tipped you because she is a nice person and we believe in tipping people period. Even if everything wasn't up to standard we don't want to hurt peoples livelihood, take the tip and the criticism and move up and on. Good and bad reviews help companies know what they are doing good and bad at.

Monty is a rescue pup and is very shy and unsure around people. These ladies completely understood that a dog who has been through trauma sometimes needs extra patience, gentleness, and kindness. They were prepared to give Monty the time and care he needed instead of rushing him or making him uncomfortable. That means so much to me. It's not just about giving a dog a great grooming--it's about understanding the dog in front of you and making them feel safe. The staff is very caring and doctor Sonya is an excellent veterinarian and I would recommend this veterinarian clinic to anyone. I have seen where they will go out of their way to help customers that aren't even patients of theirs. That is what excellence and caring is about. I have gone to several clinics here in the area before I came upon GHV clinic. Sadly I was given a misdiagnosis from my then vet and was given treatments on my rottweiler for Cushings disease that she didn't have and pills that she didn't need to take. I ended up going to GVS for an emergency with my rottweiler as my then current vet said he didn't have time to see ElizzaBear until the following week and I couldn't wait that long due to the "Cushings disease". That is when I learned from Dr. Sonya, after she performed multiple tests on ElizzaBear, that ElizzaBear did not have Cushing's disease at all. I was extremely upset about dosing my dog for something that she didn't need. She is now gone but never forgotten. You can imagine my surprise and needless to say, I have been with Dr. Sonya ever since for all of our pets' needs and that was many years ago. I also had another misfortune with another clinic that charged me $50 per pet just for a nail trim. That's completely unacceptable and outrageous! I never went back. Grays Harbor veterinary clinic is not only helpful and caring but their costs are very reasonable.

I've moved between three different states and had about five vets in that time. More if you count a few emergency vet visits. I have NEVER had to book a second appointment because of my cat's temperament. My first visit to this office was in Oct 2025. They have signs posted about not serving pets that get agitated, including possible sedation for services. My cat was there for a swollen leg, and was not happy to be there. (And please feel free to enlighten about any cat that enjoys the vet.) He was five at the time and the previous vet never complained about his temperament. This vet, however, was standoffish with him. Her name is Dr. O'Connor. Thankfully, we got through the appointment but I wasn't impressed with her hesitancy to provide service. Fast forward to today, April 2026. I brought both my cats in for their annual wellness exams. They each needed updated vaccines. The tech came in first, checked their weights, and confirmed the services we needed. (Which they don't have right. The thought only one cat needed shots but they both did.) The vet comes in without the vials for shots and made a comment about not having them prepared yet. The first cat goes up and does fine. No shots administered while he was happy though because they weren't in the room... Now the second cat goes up and is not as cooperative. Thankfully, she managed to give him his shot. Now it's time to bring the first cat up again and he's getting defensive. As cats do at the vet! (At least in my experience) She tells me I'll have to bring him back for a "tech appointment" for the shots because he's agitated. His "kitty minutes" as they call them are up. -_- We waited 20 minutes to be seen, then the vet comes in without everything she needs to facilitate the appointment, yet I have to pay a secondary appointment fee now because of the office's negligence and poor bedside manner? My cats behaved how they always behave at the vet and it's never been an issue. It's seems like this vet and certain techs are uncomfortable around animals, frankly. Maybe they're new to the field? Idk I moved to Elma from Lakewood which is why I switched vets. I would rather make the hour drive one way to my previous vet in Tacoma with two cats in tow than deal with this office again. And moving forward, I will. I did book the tech appointment because my cat needs the update on his rabies shot, and I don't want it to be delayed any further. Ultimately, I will adhere to their policies but it's just not the type of service I'm looking for in a vet. I will say, to their credit, that the appointment was originally scheduled for the week before and I had to reschedule last minute. (The cats are indoor outdoor and got out while I was at work. Came home to an empty house) They were very nice about it, and I do recognize they could argue I wasted their time first. My advice - go the Union Ave Vet Hospital in Tacoma and see Dr. Plevinskyi. He's awesome!

My boyfriend and were glad to find a kennel that could take her as we had and emergency to go take care of. When we dropped rose of at Devonshire the staff was helpful and seemed to care. This made us feel comfortable boarding Rose there. However, when we picked her up, we knew we made a big mistake. We asked how Rose did and the only thing we were told when we came in the door was, she did great. First rose was terrified of the guy that brought her out to us and rose isn't afraid of anyone. The dog hates getting in the car, but she flew out of my arms into the car she was shaking so bad. We have left her with other people before and she did not act like this when we picked her up. Second, they just threw her in a cage and didn't pay any attention to rose. We sent blankets, toys and her bone with her but when we picked Rose up, they didn't even know which blankets were hers and when they finally found her stuff it was packed just like we left it. Third Rose lost weight she looked sick and frail. She was starving she dove into her food and ate faster than I have ever seen her eat. She was also extremely thirsty. Rose couldn't stop drinking water. Finally, she had diarrhea for a week, and I mean very runny diarrhea. We only left her there for 3 nights. Rose shouldn't have been in such bad shape. We feel like she would have died if we left her for a week or more. We will never and I mean never use Devonshire pet lodge again. Rose did not do great instead she was neglected big time.

So we asked around and decided to give Devonshire Pet Lodge a chance for two nights while we delt with a family situation. Oh my word, we came to pick up our dog and the door was shut in my husbands face to wait outside. Then when they came back to the door, My husband asked how was she? They told us she was one of the sweetest dog they have met. When we bent down to love on her, we saw our 2 year old little dog was shaking so bad that she ended up peeing on the ground. The person that was handing us our dog smacked her on the nose and yelled at her. My husband told her never hit my dog again! All the way home, she cowered in the back of our car, shaking and whimpering the whole drive home. Since being home, she will not come out of her bed, nor snuggle us, not even to eat nor drink anything. This is not my purebred Siberian Huskey dog. She usually is ecstatic to great our kids and to get on our property to go say hello to all the chickens, rabbits and ducks. I will never take my precious girl there again.

I walked out of the "shop" with a blue plastic bag as if I had picked my dog up a bone or toy from the pet shop. The sincerity should be no different if you're picking up your family member vs. a precious family member (animal). People were running in and out of the exam rooms. This is at 11am on a weekday. I believe they are the only vet in town. So if you need an emergency appt, you are better off driving to Olympia. If it's just vaccinations or something routine.. and you can wait. It's about 1/2 the price I paid in Auburn, WA. They do take care credit. Direct and honest communication from vet and techs. No fluff and nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing spectacular and no complaints. This is my first visit. I will update as I live here longer.
