Overall, they are trying and doing a good job! Staff is great!…read more Getting into yoga classes is impossible, no classes for older adults, unfortunately. Sauna etiquette should really be enforced, please! People go inside fully dressed in shoes! Scrub and brush the hair! (hopefully someone vacuums there)

I have liked this gym for a long time. I was a long time member, left with Covid, back about 18…read moremonths I think. The staff - and this remains a constant - are very nice and welcoming. It is certainly the most upscale option in Petaluma. That said, I feel it going downhill, perhaps more objectionable given a recent price increase for all members and then a discount program with Kaiser ending at same time (not sure if is decision of latter or club). I put my back out a few months ago so after an absence, have been back a good bit mainly just using sauna and jacuzzi. Phones have infiltrated both. No exaggeration. It would be an exception in my last 6 visits to not encounter someone on their phone in the (male) sauna. Literally there yesterday and a guy was playing music and scrolling. Guy next to him scrolling. This sort of thing seems to constantly happen at all my recent visits. I don't get it and there appears to be no checks or enforcement. I likely wouldn't mind so much if someone is quietly scrolling (though how the phone takes it, I don't know), but it is often someone watching a game on tenderhooks and reacting or listening to music which tends to leak out earphones if they are nice enough to even use them. It is stressful for other members and an invasion of privacy potentially. It is also sad that everyone is so addicted, they can't stop for even 15 mins. Game you want to watch? Go to a bar. Can't stop scrolling? Get some help from counselor or rehab! A new one 4 nights ago was out in jacuzzi. It is common for people to have their phones lying right next to jacuzzi, which they check occasionally. There was a guy (with earbuds in), phone propped up, watching some sort of cryptocurrency YouTube channel. We could all watch along. Distracting and annoying. Kids (under the age allowed) are again frequently coming into jacuzzi too. The parents always shrug sheepishly like they have no control, if they bother to acknowledge everyone's glares at all. I don't say anything as it is not my job to enforce, tempting as it is. It feels like the sheer number of people is now too high. I simply cannot get in to some classes unless I time it to hit apply within a few mins of booking opening. Still a nice gym and health club, but the relaxing benchmark feels like it is dipping low and not what I expect at $120 a month. I would ask management to consider if they received similar feedback and to act on enforcing (or create) rules around phone use and to reestablish boundaries in areas intended for adults.

This can be a great or frustrating experience depending on what sort of workout you're looking for…read more + spacious + free parking + classes + pool (indoor) + basketball court + equipment for free weights, cardio, machines + easy access to sanitary wipes + dry sauna + hot tub + friendly staff - the worst wifi experience; I wouldn't harp on this though I've seen it promoted as a plus. Hopefully in 2026 they can invest in upgrading this to a consistent modern standard - bare bones locker rooms - bring everything if you'll use it other than soap (your own lock, blow dryer, shampoo etc); if you won't need it then ofc not an issue - no suit dryer - most gyms that I've been in with a swimming pool also offer this spinning machine that wicks away the moisture in your swimsuit and often comes with a plastic bag dispenser for you to put the swimsuit in afterwards. Not here. - older cardio machines, and some show it. - older workout machines that show it too, like seat cushions that are split with foam coming out

What has happened to this place? It used to be good. The 30…read moreminute circuit training is now GONE! No more ultra-blood-pumping full body workout. Now you have to try and navigate through the regular floor machines which look like PHONE BOOTHS at times. And where did all the elliptical machines and treadmills go? It seems SO crowded now and sometimes there isn't a bike or treadmill available. I really miss the ellipticals with the moving ski handles. It would have been nice if they sold all those machines to hire a plumber. The men's bathroom is horrible! It used to just be bad, but now it's terrible. Almost to the point of a health inspector should come in and evaluate the situation. With all the people going in & out of there they only have one out of three sinks working (is that even legal). There is actual safety tape blocking them off, like a crime scene. The middle sink has been that way for months now. One of the electrical outlets has a busted plate with exposed wires right next to a sink and all of the soap dispensers are either broken or missing! You can see a silhouette of where they used to be. Maybe people broke them off as they weren't always full or in working condition anyway. And the massage chair closest to the doorway still doesn't work that well. At times you sit there and it barely does anything, it almost seems like it stopped working and it's been that way for over a year now. When the leg machines get broken they stay that way for weeks if not months. It now seems like they turned it into a High School Gym.

Luma Fitness Review The owner of Luma fitness Connor…read moreWaggoner scammed me out of over $1000 dollars I signed up for a year membership in March 2023 . In November 2024 I called and asked him to cancel my membership due to health issues. He said that he couldn't help me and kept charging me every month until it's expiration in March 2024. Sadly, he gave me no choice but to ride out the term of the membership even though I was unable to attend the gym! In March 2024 conner told me the membership would expire on its own. I trusted him! Connor did not cancel my membership as he said he would! Instead, the membership went up $50, without my permission or my knowledge! Six months went by when I discovered that he had been charging me without my permission. Even after I told him that I was diagnosed with cancer, he did not care and refused to reimburse any of the money taken out of my account since March 2024!! After being diagnosed with cancer, Connor Waggoner kept charging me. I went to the gym, pleading with him in person. He told me that he would NOT refund any money or even partially reimburse me. He admitted that he remembers the conversation we had last November and remembers me wanting to cancel. Do not join Luma Fitness and beware of the owner Connor Waggoner ! This man is dishonest, greedy and has no problem taking money from a single mom with cancer !
