I told Hubble, "this isn't beef"! He gives me his and again I looked and I tell him it's pork not beef. (I'm allergic to pork) at this point he's annoyed at me and grabbed both alcapurrias and goes to ask. I was right! The owner says they're pork! I'm grateful I have a sixth sense to my allergies and it's kept me from a reaction but this was a close one! Their menu states beef and true puertrican alcapurrias are only made with beef. Naturally, my husband was very upset, that there was no signage to what was pork or beef. To calm my husband down the owner apologized and offered a chicken empanada and a canu which is a sweet plantain canoe filled with beef, sauce, and cheese except they don't make them with sauce and cheese. Instead it had peppers and potatoes. It certainly wasnt at all like what we are used to eating in Puerto Rico. None of it was Puerto Rican. We also tried the chicken empanada and this was a bomb to my stomach. The chicken had gone bad!!! My husband got to spit it out but I wasn't so fortunate. I payed for it later that night and into the next morning. Hubby also had tried the bacalaitos and the dried fish wasn't soaked enough because it was extremely salty. Inedible! He ordered a chicken chuso also inedible, the texture of the chicken was that of old recooked chicken, not fresh. He had made to order empanadas with beef and cheese and the cheese tasted like when you vomit milk.....so damn gross. We only complained about getting the pork due to my allergy but didn't go back to let him know the chicken was rotten nor about all the rest of the food. We dumped it all out and won't ever step foot in there. My advice to the owner, get a professional cleaner to sanitize all the counter, walls, floors, purchase lids for foods in trays and check for flies! Hire a true puertorican consultan chef to teach you the right sazőn! Yeah, because Chef Ramses would be disgusted! Service was quick, parking was on lot beside restaurant and the restroom also needs a top to bottom cleaning.

I didn't want to take up a table that accommodated more guests but it was the only clean spot. Hostess and waitress were friendly. Wait time was reasonable. The food was filling. My husband got an omelet; half of it was cooked through. Half his omelet was sunny side up so he didn't eat the rest of his meal. When confronting the waitress, she informed us that is not how it's supposed to be cooked. She brought us the check and no discount are apology was offered for having a half cooked meal. Maybe I'll give their dinner option a try, it was an "eh" experience.
