I scheduled to have my Honda airbags repaired due to the recall. At the appointment, we learned that they did not have the parts to complete the recall. We were never called ahead of time to bump the appointment. When I called to reschedule I spoke with Will Barnes. He assured me that he would call me when the airbags have arrived. It has now been almost a month and I have called Will 3x, all with the same attitude/response that he will call me. This is a safety hazard and Will has been extremely non-chalant about resolving the issue. Now I must wait for Fred Hassle (service Manager) to call me. What a joke this place is. read more

Bought car in Feb 2015; been having tire problems ever since; dealer tried to first tell me nothing was wrong with tires but I've been losing pressure every couple of weeks since car was purchased; my step dad took off the tires at home and proved the problem was leaky stem valves then returned to the dealer to fight with them on my behalf; they fixed the tires and even had the nerve to try to charge for the repair; they should have paid my step-dad since he is the one who actually solved the problem; not impressed at all read more

Took my 2004 Honda Accord in for a check engine diagnosis. Normally don't ever go to the dealer, but I was told by 2 different mechanics that this was a gas tank pressure issue that only Honda could fix. I took it in and asked them to please only do the diagnostic as I wasn't sure if i wanted to put anymore money into the car or if I wanted to get something different. After being there for an hour, they informed me that my car would not start at all and it would cost $845 to replace the starter... I felt as if i had no choice but to let them fix it since they said it couldn't be started. They claimed they did an evap test after the starter was fixed and told me my gas cap was just loose (this had already been checked and was not the case). They also put on my invoice that they replaced both airbags that were on recall. This was miraculous considering the service tech told me the parts wouldn't be in for a few weeks. And more amazing than that, as part of their courtesy inspection, they rated the tread on my spare as good, yet nothing in my trunk was moved. At the end of the day, they treated me like I was an idiot, made me feel inadequate for being a woman and got me for every red cent they could. I will NEVER go to Norris Honda again. read more

only regarding the new car sales dept: During an employee price discount sale, I was quoted a price that seemed too good to be true for a new car. I called three times to confirm the numbers (total cost, including taxes and fees, confirmed the math including my down payment) and decided to go do a test drive, with the intentino of buying that day if the price was real. Turns out the salesman assumed the higher end of the range of down payment I had said I was willing to pay (as in, I never stated the amount as an individual number) and subtracted that from the price, making my quote several thousand dollars off from the price he actually wanted me to pay when I arrived. When I reminded him I asked specifically about the numbers and clarified the quote in relationship to the down payment through a yes/no question on the phone, he said (1) he must have not understood, and (2) he may not have heard as he was in the gym. Why was he conducting business in a gym, when he couldn't hear? He then offered a disingenuous apology (hey, it got me in the door...) but he and the sales manager continued to try to convince me that that is how car dealers quote numbers to everyone - subtract the down payment amount when quoting the out-the-door final price. I have been emailing and calling several dealerships and this is the first one that quoted numbers that way, especially surprising given that I did not state a specific amount for a down payment, and the one assumed was different than what the loans required. When I later mentioned another dealership offered a better quote, he basically called me a liar by questioning the quote and questioning my math. (I ended up buying at the other dealership.) The whole experience was aggravating. I really felt like they were treating me like a small little lost girl, which was perhaps not surprising for a car dealership, but still frustrating. Salesmen, you will not sell as well if you annoy your customers and make them feel mocked. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! I was told by a friend about a great deal they had on leases for a 2013 Honda Accord LX. He gave me the exact number he was paying. I called Matt from the dealership who told me he would give me the same price. He also said he would match the trade in price I got from Carmax and that the tax credit would enable me to get the Sport version at the same price he quoted me. I went in and he took my car to get valued for a trade in. He came back with an offer that was $500 less than Carmax. When I asked him about his promise to match, he said the $500 tax credit would make up the difference. That was not what he told me on the phone (which is why I brought it there as opposed to carmax). After much haggling they upped the offer to match it but told me if I wanted the Sport it would be $35 more a month. When I asked why it wasn't the same price he told me on the phone, he made up some BS about that price being before tax and that this what he told me. I completely lost patience and took the car because they had already taken my trade in to the other lot and I had already been there for an hour and a half. They told me I would have a statement and my tags within a few weeks. Its been 60 days and I still have not gotten either. When I called Matt after 2 weeks to find out where my trade in check was he told me i would have it within a week. No such luck. I then called again after 30 days to find out why I hadn't received a check for my trade in, a statement, or my tags he told me about some medical emergency and that's why things were backed up. He said he no longer wanted to help me and if I had any questions I could speak to the manager. I called the manager who told me he would have the check sent out (minus my first months payment which was already overdue) and that I would receive a staement within a week or 2. It is now 60 days. I received my check but still no bill or tags. I called Honda today, they said my lease doesn't exist and my name is not in the system yet. They said they still have not received my paperwork from Norris. I just spoke to Dale at the dealership, he said he has my tags and he will send them out and that I have a 2nd payment due which I need to make over the phone so I won't be overdue again. All in all this was the worst experience I have ever had and every single person at Norris seems to have dropped the ball. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN read more

Their "express" service for an oil change took 65 minutes. I had been told to expect less than 40. Two male customers who drove in after me were done before I was. I was told my paperwork was 'lost' for 10 minutes when they called me back to see if they could add on more services for another $350. After I declined it was another 20 minutes before the car was ready. The car had a funny smell when it was returned and they didn't put in any windshield washer fluid. read more

I am extremely displeased with the service department. My Honda is three years old and I bring it in to the service department at Norris for every maintenance. I was in the market to purchase a new CRV, and I went through my insurance company (USAA) to get a TrueValue quote (which was honestly the easiest way to purchase a car, ever.) I got a few quotes emailed to me from dealers around town, but Norris was the lowest and so I started there. From start to finish, I couldn't have had a better experience. I worked with Tim Kleim, who was not pushy in any way (which is a major priority for me in a car salesman). We test drove the car, and i discussed trading in my BMW. They gave me a trade-in price ($500 higher than CarMax) and I negotiated that a little, but I didn't need to the negotiate the price of the CRV because of the original TrueValue quote which was very fair and competitive, and which they stuck to. I went to another dealer closer to my house (hoping they would negotiate a little on the trade value) and while the experience was friendly, Norris beat their trade price by $500. Also Norris was able to get me the color I wanted (it wasn't in stock) without any threat of an added cost (which I got from the other dealer if the color wasn't easy to find). When I purchased the car, everyone I worked with was friendly, professional, and efficient. I haven't bought a car in 6 years since my BMW (which was a great experience), and I cannot complain. And on top of that, I'm able to take it to a related Norris dealer to have free service the first 20,000 miles that's closer to me (Norris Honda is slightly out of my way). The lack of BS from the sales and purchasing team from start to finish made them a pleasure to work with, and I'd recommend Norris Honda and Tim in a minute. read more

From my recent and couple of other experiences in past, they are totally money collectors and prey on customers. This is a review for the service department. Getting my car serviced at Norris Honda is well worth the drive. I originally purchased my vehicle from here, and although I subsequently moved to another part of the city I still think it's worth driving back here to get my car serviced. I had been debating about it for a while, but this most recent trip fully convinced me to stay. The staff here is always friendly and helpful (although they do strongly prefer that you have your coupons printed out in advance before you come in and you have to show them right away at check-in). I've never had any problems with the work done here, and they're usually pretty honest and up-front about what needs to be done on your car right away and what you can put off. On this latest trip, they were actually very helpful in pointing out some problems that turned out to be caused by a bad repair job that was done at another facility (due to an accident insurance claim), and said they were willing to talk to the other facility about the damage, as it was likely due to the accident and should have been addressed by the other facility. They were very supportive and polite; so I'm definitely going to stick with them in the future! read more

Made a deal in September for a new 2016 Honda Civic - agreed on the price for that car and the amount my trade in would be. The couldn't find the car they said they could get so they had to order it from the dealership. I asked if this would have any affect on our agreement and was told it was not. THREE months later the car comes in, it's a 2017, and now the deal costs me $1500 more. I said no thanks and left. Terrible customer service throughout the three month waiting period with me always having to call and ask for updates. read more

Try Bel Air Honda if you're trading a car in. Bel air honda gave me a sight unseen quote for my car just off the vin, miles and condition. Norris had the 2014 Accord sport that i wanted right color and all. I told my salesman David Emala at Norris Honda that I wanted a sight unseen quote for 21k and I got this in an email from him "Perfect. I was able to take that information to my Pre-owned manager. You know you have a specialty car, and because of the rarity, it is very difficult to give an accurate estimate without seeing it. I assume Bel Air has seen it. And we think that are on point with their offer. That being said, what day works best for you and I to get together?" I went in that night took it for a test drive and got down to it and told him it came down to how much i could get for my BMW z4m. 18k$ then he raised it to 19k. (the exact car sold at carmax 1 week earlier with more miles same condition for 25k. I then went to Bel Air Honda. They gave me exactly the price they said they would at 21k. Because they didn't have the car i wanted in stock I told them norris has it and they could get it from them. Norris Honda knew it was me who would be getting the car (david emala called while i was still at bel air honda) and in spite they didn't let bel air have the car so someone had to drive out to hagerstown, md and pick it up for me through friday afternoon traffic.
