Norris Honda for the WIN! I brought my Honda Prologue here for the recall/software updates. I had already taken it to Parkville Honda, where I bought my car, but they were not successful. My car was there for 9 days. They said my car was rejecting the updates. So here I am. Service was easy. I drove right into the garage, told them my experience, and was told my updates would take 6 hours. To my surprise, that's exactly what happened. They successfully resolved the recall in ONE DAY. I also had my tires rotated, which cost LESS than I was quoted at the other dealership. They have a small waiting area with a TV, several vending machines, and coffee. But I was able to get a ride home with a wonderful woman who was very pleasant. I could tell she enjoyed her job. She also picked me up and took me back to the dealership when my car was ready. You got me, Norris Honda. I'll be bringing my car here for all of its future needs! read more

I visited the Norris Honda service department on 1/10 to have a recall taken care of. Norris wasn't my first choice as I purchased my HR-V from Brown's and I've had all previous recalls handled there. But Brown's hadn't returned my request to make an appointment and Norris scheduled me to come in just days after I called. I arrived at Norris at 7am. The tech noted I had 3 recalls, not just the 1 and said he could do all 3 in 4 hours. Since I expected to be there 3 hours, I shrugged and went with it. Settled into the fairly comfortable guest seating area. 2.5 hours later, the tech came and gave me my keys, said my car was all done. I was beyond pleased! Excellent customer service, I appreciated them taking care of all my recalls (Brown's NEVER did that), and it was a much quicker turnaround than expected. This was a bit of a hike for me, but if Brown's keeps the nonsense up, I will be back!!! read more

My husband and I bought a Honda Passport 2026 from Norris Honda. The finance manager, Paul Donald, was the easiest finance manager we have ever dealt with and we have bought at least 8 cars. The sales manager, Brad Alterwitz, listened to our concerns, he remembered what they were and addressed each one. Our salesmen, Wesley Perdomo (Wes), was young which concerned me but he was able to confidently answer every question on the car we were looking at and ending up purchasing with him. I brought my 2019 CRV in for a Saturday appointment for a fuel pump safety recall repair and oil change. Filled my tank after leaving the shop to find that the fuel gage would only register a half tank of gas. Was nonchalantly told to bring it back in on Monday, here I sit for over 3.5 hours of my workday, so far, waiting for their repair to be repaired. Also I've owned this vehicle for almost 6 years and my low tire pressure sensor came on for the first time ever after leaving the shop the first time. Won't come back to this shop. Edit: In the end, they replaced the replacement fuel pump again, but not until after basically accusing me of not having actually filled the tank previously. Careless repairs, and I left the shop with the interior of my car reeking of gasoline fumes that will not go away even hours later. The service manager says they can spray something inside my car for the smell, lol. Funnily enough, he is a major gaslighter when talking with him. I cannot recommend this service shop. I use my vehicle for work and lost a full day of work after purposefully scheduling the repair on a Saturday. Further edit: Day 2 of the interior of my vehicle smelling like a gas pump. Another day of me not being able to do my job due to an inept service dept that decided on their own to do a repair with an over-filled tank of gas instead of the almost empty tank that I brought my vehicle to the shop with, as they had requested. And they don't care, at all. If you want to deal with a service team that won't listen to what you tell them, this is the place to go. read more

I'm in the area for awhile for work and needed an oil change. I initially booked online but had to cancel because of a conflict. The service guy rescheduled me right away. I only had an oil change, fix a recall issue and the front wipers replaced but the customer service people were very patient, friendly and accommodating. They told me what to expect for my next service visit and the cost upfront. They didn't try to upsell me and I was in and out in about an hour and 15 minutes and they washed my car. The dealer in Vero Beach charges extra for a wash so that was a nice surprise. If I'm still in the area when I need another oil change or have an issue, I will be back. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I needed a recall fixed and since my car was due for oil change and tire rotation I decided to get it all done at once. I have only gone to one family owned car repair shop since I bought the car (new). The call after the multi point inspection to say I need three filters replaced, wipers replaced, a nail in my tire repaired, but that the tire tread was good. I had literally just replaced the wipers that week, declined the filters, and opted to get the tire plugged. I wait hours and pick up my car. I paid for an oil change, nail plug, and tire rotation. The next morning I ran into a store quickly and parked with my tires turned and I come to see the nail still in the tire! As well as a straight cut slash along the side of the same tire!! I call them and they said bring your car in to get it repaired. On my way there I decided I just wanted a refund because they couldn't be trusted. I take my car to my regular mechanic. They never changed my oil, they never rotated my tires, and never plugged my tire. After 8 hours of my car being there they did absolutely nothing!! Lied and told me they did and let me pay for all the services!!! So I drop my car off for a recall and end up leaving needing over $1000 worth of work to repair what Norris honda messed up. First of all, I would like you to know my history of buying vehicles in Norris Honda branch Merrit Blvd since 2006. A Pilot model , a CRV model and this is the third, the Ridgeline 2023. All were purchased as brand new. Plus I recommended three people who also bought their car in there. My third were unpleasant. I initially went there July 31st , to inquire the availability of the model and the cost which they gave me a rough estimate. I told him that I will be back in the next 3 days to finalize. On the evening I received an email from one of their sales consultants saying that I am being "obnoxious"! I don't know why I am being called for that (maybe because that they thought I am not serious?) . But anyway, I came back the next day and I told them that I am ready to purchase. They let me try to drive the model car and it went good. Now, we are talking about how am I going to pay. They offer financing with a 2.9% APR. I told them I will pay in cash! and that is the beginning! They want me to have it on financing and keep insisting on financing until the rate went down to 0.9%. Final Sale: Now, I am talking with the different person which giving me the final price. He offered me an addition or add-on, but I turned him down and told him that I am not interested. I noticed him of being annoyed through his facial expression. The next thing I inquire to him about their internet promotion or marketing promotion about the 7 days return policy if I change my mind. I can see his facial expression. He doesn't want to talk about it. All he response is "Do you like Honda?" He told me that there is no promotion at all but I pulled it out from their internet website and let him read it. My wife who is with me during that time kicked my leg telling me to stop. On my thought "why do you have to ask me if I like honda since I already purchased two vehicles and adding a new one today plus recommending a friend to buy on your store?" Finally, to finish my story I gave the CASH Check, smile to each and shakes our hand. I left the place driving my new Honda Sport AWD Ridgeline 2023. Hi, I want to let anyone, and everybody know how wonderful a car salesman that Mr. Wilson Gilbert is at the Norris Ford in Dundalk on Merritt Blvd! I came in this past May 2023 looking for a up to date used vehicle. I told Mr. Gilbert what I was interested in for a vehicle. He picked out 3-4 types that he thought I would like. The first one he showed me he said I would love and that I would not have to look at the other 3 vehicles. Well he was right, but I still looked at the other's anyway. I went back to the 2020 Jeep Renegade and I fell in love with it. The best deal was he was able to put me in that Jeep Renegade at a great monthly rate and I drove off with it that night! I was told by the salesman Brian, they were having a sale and to come in this weekend before the month ended for a great deal. BUYER BEWARE! I was not aware of how much the mark up was until I purchased the vehicle. I didn't understand the paperwork and did not ask the right questions during the purchase process. Before buying I suggest to photograph the MSRP paper on the vehicle to better calculate the added fees and mark ups. This mistake on my part cost me dearly. On the way home, I saw a crack in the windshield. They said they will replace it. Hopefully also replace the wiper blades since the wiper blades are running across the cracked glass. read more

Norris Honda is terrible. My son, after working with a nice sales person, decided on a vehicle. He was talked into it by the finance department and was sent off the lot in the new (used) car. The price was fair as far as market value, nothing special what so ever, but made my son feel like they moved mountains to get him the sticker price. When I went in to sign over the title to his current vehicle, I expressed some reservations with the price of the car versus milage, the trade in value of the vehicle (which, the trade in was sold to me by Norris just 18 months ago which they offered much less than half the price for) My son had expressed that he wanted a used car that only had one owner. They handed him the carfax with the one owner highlighted, yet didn't show the part where it was used as a rental car and fifty thousand miles was put on the vehicle in under two years. They then proceeded to tell my son that they gave him such a great deal on the trade in (they gave $400 more than a dealership down the street offered...and again, Norris just sold us that car in 2022 for more than double the trade in value) In addition to this, they added on a FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR warranty. We asked that the warranty be taken off and they drew up a new contract. After reading the CarFax my son stated "I think I'm actually going to look for another car" to which the finance guy responded with "too bad. I have a contract here that you signed yesterday that I will enforce, along with the warranty" Never once did they say "how can we make this right for you" or "can we discuss your concerns?" Just, "too bad" Seriously. This is how you treat a customer financing a $23,000 vehicle? Also, that contract signed had a trade in value of $6700 for a car that the person signing the contract didn't own. I'm not dumb. And neither is my son. He's just young and didn't realize he was being taken advantage of. If I don't sign over the title, that contract is null and void completely. You physically sold me the car last year. You have a record of it and I'm here to sign it over. So your contract wasn't worth the paper it was written on. Then you threaten my son that you are going to enforce a five thousand dollar warranty because he expressed that he might want to look for a different car and "too bad, you signed a contract" My disdain for your company is immeasurable. read more

Asked for an overnight test drive, dealer agreed, drove the car home, a few hours later the dealership calls and demands the car be driven back that they had just sold it to someone else. The service department is what saves this dealership from getting the lowest rating possible. I went in looking for a Ridgeline with a specific package during a chip shortage (I know crazy). They had 2 on the lot but weren't the packages I was looking for. But hey, I can be swayed. They were selling at MSRP but said the market on my trade-in was high so it evened out. But when they appraised my 8-month-old previous vehicle, they offered $1,000 under even the lowest range of NADA, KBB, or Blackbook. They wanted to sell high and buy low. And Norris, don't give me the "KBB or Nada doesn't buy cars" line. No, they don't, they just do this thing called analytics analyzing a wide range of metrics including recent sales, and are usually somewhere within the ballpark. From that point, I just left. Instead, I went to a Honda dealer an hour away to get the Ridgeline with the package I wanted, fair trade-in value, and a little of MSRP. Thank you, Sport Honda. Fast forward 3 months... Squeak coming from the front end of my new Ridgeline. I obviously don't want to drive an hour away to the dealer I purchased at. So, I scheduled an appointment online at Norris Honda. All I can say is A+++ service. The mechanic called me to discuss sound, texted me pictures of his findings, and was super thorough (side note service cashier seemed crabby). We just bought our 3rd Honda CR-V from Norris Honda. My wife wanted the Touring hybrid with specific features and colors and she dealt with Stan Ma. Although Stan works primarily over at the Norris Ford dealership, he helped my wife design and order the car she wanted as there is little inventory these days. The car just came in, at last, and Stan went out of his way to make us happy. It is clear that he focuses on the customer's needs and is not at all pushy or salesy. Todd Pegler did the closing and never pushed or pressured as he explained options. The whole experienced was relaxed and their flexibility was greatly appreciated. We recommend Stan and Todd to anyone. They are experienced, knowledgeable, have very nice personalities and we're sure they can turn what can be an anxiety producing experience into a very pleasant one. read more

We called about a specific car and were quoted about 1k more than others, had to put a 1k non refundable deposit (which we later found out is illegal in MD), and then after 24 hours of communication around this car was told that they were no longer allowing the pre-purchase of the car until it was on the lot and then it was first come first serve. Do yourself a favor and avoid Norris Honda. I've been a loyal customer of theirs for the past 7 years, having gone to them for my yearly maintenance of my 2011 Civic as well as other service needs. Over the past 3 years I've noticed some changes in their service department, as they seemed to be pushing me to get additional service done which started to seem questionable. Nevertheless, I remained a loyal customer until my most recent service visit. Last month my car stopped turning on unless given a jump. I took it to Norris Honda where they charged me $120 for a diagnosis. The service team told me that the problem was with the door latch system which was draining my battery. They quoted me another $325+ for the part plus labor. I decided to get another opinion from another mechanic, who told me it was simply the battery and definitely not the door latch that caused my problem. He replaced the battery that same day and my car has been running just fine for the past 2 weeks at a total cost of $200 which included the diagnosis, battery, and labor. The fact that Norris was going to charge me an additional $325+ on top of the $120 I already paid for a diagnosis is ridiculous. Clearly they lied to me about my service needs in order to make more money off of my problem. On top of that, they refused to give me the car wash included in the service because of the weather - but I noticed they washed other customer's cars while I was there. I have lost all trust in them and strongly recommend anyone considering Norris Honda to stay away. read more

I purchaded a "new" Accord in 2016 and had one of the worst customer experience ever... To start off, I was treated poorly and unfairly by the general manager (Bill). Not only was I lied too and pressured into signing a lease agreement-- despite the car having over 200 miles on it, the dealership was reluctant to show me and allow me to test drive the car prior to signing. Knowing this, I told them I wanted a day to think about it, and the manager decided to throw a fit (who does this???) To make a long story short, I ended up leasing the vehicle, and come find out, the vehicle had so many issues, such as; interior rattling, door panel gaps, and the right wheel unable to stay in alignment. Over the course of three years, the dealership failed to fixes any of these issues (which I had to pay out of my own pocket), and Honda Corporate did absolutely nothing to help. If I wasn't suffering from anxiety and in the need to purchase a car, I would have made a better decision to not sign anything, demand be treated respectfully, or walk out on them completely. Furthermore, if I were you, stay far away from ever buying a car from this dealership, they're bunch of crooks, liers, and will find some way in manipulating you in making a decision. And lastly, I literally caught the sales manager (Andrew Hughes) stealing my personal documents out of my own folder with out my consent. WTF?! read more

Had one of the best experiences buying a new car. My salesman Sean was extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. The showroom was clean and very spacious. There even was a play area for my daughter to stay distracted. At no point did I feel pressured or manipulated. Such a great experience compared to other dealers I've visited. This place just kept my husband's car for TWO MONTHS, charged him $2000 for repairs and when he went to get it today, it wouldn't start. So now we are well over $2000 out, not only for repairs but for all the car rentals, cabs, Zipcars etc., and WE STILL HAVE NO CAR. This is not remotely ok. I unfortunately had a very bad experience with Norris' used car dealership. I went in on 2 separate occasions, and both of them were subpar. I was looking for a used, small SUV (such as the CRV.) I asked a salesman about it, and he offered to walk me out to the lot. He showed me several different cars, but made comments such as "...but this car is probably out of your budget." It should be noted that I was nicely dressed and didn't give him a budget. On the second day, I went back in the hopes of finding somebody else. There were 2 salesmen in the dealership, no customers, yet I had to walk up to 1 to get service. I asked him about a specific CRV on the lot and he said he was unable to bring me for a test drive, but that he would unlock it for me, and that was literally all he did. He walked out, unlocked it, and left me outside. Never bothered to show any features or ask when I was interested in buying, and basically communicated that he couldn't care any less whether I bought a car from them or not. This is a long over due and fully time tested review. I bought my Honda Fit from Becky on 2011. It was good experience over all, we negotiated the price online and didn't have much issue when we purchased. The location include some nice to have perk such as life time free car wash and life time free inspection. Now 6 years later, I been here several time for normal oil change/tire rotation. Sometime, the wait is long, but most time it's as fast as you expect. Today, my oil change, tire rotation and airbag recall only took about 1 hour. While you wait, enjoy as much as free expresso as you like at a nice seating area. Making dealership a bearable and pleasant experience. I give Norris Honda an A+! read more

So the second time I went here, the folks at Norris found out that all kinds of things that should have been done by the dealership in Chicago that sold my car to me as a certified used Honda had NEVER been done. The car came to me with around 40k miles on it and had not once had either of its air filters changed. The transmission fluid was dirty. And the tires were below acceptable tread depth. My service advisor and the service manager rooted for me and provided me with surreal but entertaining conversation and some moral support while I argued with the old Honda dealer on the phone and eventually got them to promise to reimburse me speedily for repairs. I was glad to have had the clear explanations and good, patient company that I got from Norris in the meantime. Among other things, they showed me some of the parts that were issues, which people used to do all the time for my dad when I was little, but no one seems to do for me in this day and age. I appreciated all this a lot and would highly recommend these folks for ANY service your Honda needs. read more

I was working with a young salesman named Brandon. GREAT guy, LOVED working with him. We were still a little far apart on the deal, so of course he had to get the sales manager. Yuck. The sales manager made my skin crawl. Old-fashioned slick guy. He offered me "20,000 miles'" worth of oil changes--- let me think. 7500 miles x 2 == 15,000. That's TWO oil changes. Woo-hoo. He lied and told me the oil changes were $40. Thanks for the $80 bucks buddy. Except oil changes on the CR-V are over $100 due to the CR-V using synthetic oil. So he didn't want me to know the real cost of maintenance. (I already knew.) I walked. Went to Heritage and got the car I wanted with the deal I needed plus 30,000 miles of maintenance. I felt VERY bad for Brandon. He worked VERY hard for me and lost the sale because of the sales manager. read more

I purchased my honda accord in 2009 from this dealership. My uncle worked there at the time, and raved about it. Over the years, I've bragged about this dealership and the service. As of today, I question what has gone wrong or changed. The last couple of service appointments have not been good to say the least. 1 was for an oil change that resulted in someone not putting back the hub cap clip on correctly. I had to bring my car back in, and get a loner while they fixed it. I was told it was a new tech etc. This time, i brought my car in to get fixed due to a vibration and pulling to the left. I left my car from Wed evening-Saturday without even asking for a loner car. The tech that took my call immediately said, they are going to start with the front tire since it's different than all the rest. Okay, great. I don't work on cars for a living, so I'm trusting YOU with my car. My brother picked it up for me and it was still vibrating super hard. First they wanted my brother to sit and wait. Umm, no, this isn't his or my problem that it wasn't fixed. I had to pick up a loner car on my day off (labor day), and it was a complete inconvenience. When I called this morning, I was told the vibration was coming from the back, and since I didn't tell them they didn't look into it. I'm sorry, WHAT? I said it was pulling to the left and there was a vibration. I didn't know it was now my job to tell you what was wrong with my car. I pay for a service, and I expect Honda to be knowledgeable about the service on my car. I didn't argue the price, I just said please figure it out and let me know. My question is this; who test drove my car, and released it to me in that condition after paying $1400 for it to be fixed? I told the tech I was speaking with that it doesn't make me feel good to feel "blamed" for not telling them exactly what was wrong. I told him its a 2009, I'm ready for a new car and I'm not even sure I want to come back to this dealership or bring my car in for service here again. His response "okay, that's fine.:" To say that I feel unappreciated, and taken advantage of is an understatement. Since the response is "okay, that's fine", I will be sure to NEVER recommend this dealership again as I did in the past, and I sure won't be buying my new car here either. I will also be sure to let everyone know NOT to come here until things change. I'm extremely disappointed considering how amazing things were when I purchased my car, and years after with service. I purchased our Odyssey from this dealership and have been taking it in for maintpenance ever since. Now that we are out of warranty, I find that the mechanics shop is negligent and tries to sell unnecessary repairs. For example, on one occasion, the mechanic "forgot" to replace something in the engine. After several trips back to have it handled, and being treated like an idiot by the so-called manager, my husband and I spoke to the Service Manager who said that they are understaffed so no one performs Quality check on services done. As a kind of "sorry, we fouled up", I was offered a free oil change. Went in for the free oil change (yes, I know), and was informed my brakes were shot and needed to be replaced immediately (and possibly rotors; wouldn't know for sure until they got in there), as the van was unsafe to drive. Took it home and told my husband what the mechanic said. It was even noted on the paperwork. Hubby went online and ordered new brake pads and replaced them himself. However, when he got the wheels off and pulled the old pads, THEY WERE FINE. The front pads had at least another 20k of mileage on them and rear were almost new. So, Norris Honda lied and tried to scare me into paying for a very expensive repair that I didn't need. My husband packed up the old and supposedly "dangerous" brake pads and took them to the dealership. The Service Manager stated the pads were fine and offered a "free oil change" as a sort of apology. They are knowingly trying to force/scare people into repairs they don't need (fraud?) and when called out on it, merely give excuses and offer up an oil change as if that solves everything.
