The first appointment went great and found my dream dress. However the second appointment left me…read morefeeling really discouraged about my choice. The lady helping me started asking really personal questions about if I was living with my fiance yet. When I told her no she was obviously judging me for not living with him before we got married. Which I just thought was crossing a boundary for someone I've literally never met and whose business it is NOT. I got a lace up back on my dress and asked if I could see it without the panel behind it (some brides do that) and she basically told me I shouldn't do that because "it would look like lingerie" and she kept calling my wedding a "Bible wedding" and like wouldn't drop it even when I tried to move on. Basically implying "how could you want to show your back if you are a Christian". Then she goes on to talk to my maid of honor about "no brides really wait to move in with their finances anymore" and she went to tell the other girl at the counter about our conversation in front of me while I was paying. She then made the comment "if your mom was here what would she think" and I was just like shocked. As if my mom would be appalled if I showed like an inch of my back line who cares. My maid of honor was also super weirded out. It was so strange especially since my first experience was so good. But that being said I love my dress and am excited to wear it! But I probably will not recommend to a friend unfortunately.

From the moment we stepped into the store the personnel were so professional and actually excited we were there. Then we met Lorrel. You would have throught Katie was her daughter She was sooooo happy and excited to be of help and shared in the emotional moment Katie said "Yes to the Dress"! Yes, Katie tried on 10 dress but said "yes" with the very first dress. We were treated like Queens and princess with cupcakes, champagne and other treats. It made me feel like I would come back and get a dress and get married again (although I am 45 years in) Sitting down to write this, I just realized that Lorrel is the Owner of the "she said yes" Bridal Shop. You made my daughters dream come true right in front of her Mom! THANKS SO MUCH LORREL AND STAFF FOR HELP MAKING A DREAM COME TRUE!!!!!!!!

We had such high hopes walking into Norman Bridal, but our experience has been very disappointing…read more On August 2nd, my daughter's grandmother purchased a veil here as a gift from her great-grandmother who has passed away. It was meant to be something sentimental and special. The veil was not in stock and we were told it would not be ordered until they had enough orders to submit to the manufacturer. We paid $280 in cash. Since then, my daughter has chosen her gown elsewhere, and we respectfully asked that the transaction be canceled since no veil had been ordered, nothing was in their possession, and no product was received. Unfortunately, Norman Bridal has refused. Their only offer was to let her pick out a different veil, but they do not carry the style she wants, and their "no refund" policy is being applied even when there is literally nothing to return. What makes this even more frustrating is that they have now stopped responding to my emails. Instead of helping us resolve this situation, we are left with silence and a store credit we cannot use. This is especially disappointing given the sentiment behind the purchase -- a gift from a great-grandmother who is no longer with us. Instead of being able to honor that gesture, we're left feeling like $280 of family meaning and memory is being held hostage by a rigid policy. I would caution other families to be very careful here. Read the fine print, and know that even if they haven't ordered or provided the item, they will not give you your money back -- and they may stop responding once you question it.

While I was waiting in my car in the parking lot to meet my (future) sister-in-law to glance at…read morewedding dresses, Shelly (the owner) came to my car, introduces herself and informed me that they are by appointment only and the appointment costs $40. (No biggie, completely understand that!) Since the bride had no idea what style, color, or material she was wanting, I asked Shelly if we could come inside and and just look at the dresses, not try anything on but glance at some on the mannequins etc. to give the bride an idea of what is available. Shelly, then, pursed her lips and looked me up & down in what I can only describe as a Karen sort-of way and said "That's fine, you can look at them, but my prices do start at $400 and go all the way up to the $800 range." In that moment I knew I would never do business here again. I bought my wedding dress and several of the bridal party's attire here when I got married and have been back several times over the years for proms and homecomings, because I am all about supporting local, but the demeaning and judgemental attitude that I got from Shelly yesterday was absolutely inexcusable. Weddings are expensive, that's a given. However, this isn't a scene in "Pretty Woman". To belittle a customer the way Shelly did, to judge someone's wallet by a 10 second conversation is just absurd. She lost our business before I was even able to get out of my vehicle. We ended up going to a store in Branson with extremely kind and helpful staff and purchased the absolute perfect dress for the ceremony (for just over $2,000) PLUS bridal party attire. Moral of the story here is.. You can't put a price tag on memories, and the way you treat your patrons is what makes or breaks a business. Being the owner, Shelly should be able to comprehend that.
