Danielle'S Bridal & Special Occasion

Danielle'S Bridal & Special Occasion

My daughter's wedding dress experience at Danielle's was highly disappointing. Absolutely nothing…read morelike we were expecting as being the most fun event during wedding season. When we arrived for the much-anticipated appointment, the consultant did not introduce herself (I can't even call her out by name because she never gave us her name) and honestly made us feel like she was bothered by having to assist us. The only question she asked me (mother of the bride) was what was my budget. We weren't offered water much less champagne. We all started looking at dresses and she quickly said "those won't fit her, you can only look on this side". But all dresses are ordered in the bride's size so what difference did it matter which sizes we were looking at?? The consultant never engaged in conversation with my daughter (where is the wedding, tell me about your fiancé, what style dress are you looking for....nothing). My daughter tried on 5-6 dresses (I don't even remember because it was unmemorable) and when I would ask if she could clip them in the back she would just cinch it up and hold it so we couldn't really tell what it looked like. There was no pedestal for the bride to stand on to get a good view of the dress. My daughter already thought she knew what dress she wanted, which is why we went to Danielle's as they carried the dress, but she still wanted to try on other options and have the full experience. The consultant never asked her dress preferences and never pulled dresses for her. Myself and the others in the group pulled dresses but the consultant never even offered and she is supposed to be the expert. I had to ask about veils. We were never offered to look at veils in the veil room nor was my daughter asked her preferences. The consultant just brought out a few that my daughter did not like and the consultant then just lost interest and said we were done. We bought the dress she had wanted going into the appointment but the consultant never offered to take a picture of the group and just sent us to the cashier and disappeared. My daughter went today to pick up the dress and they didn't offer for her to try it on, for her to look at veils again or even alterations. Just here is your dress, bye. Thank goodness we have a local seamstress to do the alterations as I wouldn't have trusted Danielle's to care about doing the alterations correctly. I know Danielle's has many positive reviews but our experience was awful and nothing that you dream about as a little girl. Shame on Danielle's for not creating the magical wedding dress experience! I am yelling loud and clear to all of my friends whose daughters are getting married to not shop at Danielle's! So disappointing!!

Little late to review, but I purchased my wedding dress here in January 2018 after some really…read morefrustrating experiences at other bridal salons. I loved every little thing about shopping at Danielle's. 1) When you make an appointment to shop, you don't have to "share" the floor with anyone else. It was just me and my family, so it was very comfortable and felt very special. 2) The women who work there are genuinely so kind and not pushy at all. If a dress is not for you then it's just not for you. You don't get the feeling that they are desperately working on commission or something. They were respectful of my budget and not judgey at all. 3) They can sell you a dress right off the rack - no need to order one. When I shopped there, I only had 8 weeks until my wedding. Other stores just could not wrap their minds around this and kept letting me try on gowns that took way longer to have made / ordered. But at Danielle's they assured me that I could take home a dress that day if need be. 4) The sample sizes were very inclusive. It was explained to me that there are two types of sizing for bridal gown. There is the standard sizing which runs very small and there is the "W" size which stands for "woman" - meaning that it has more room for these hips! They carry lots of "W" sized gowns so I was really able to try on gowns that fit instead of just "imagining" what the right size would look like. Did I also mention that I found THE dress of my dreams here?! I seriously didn't think that it even existed, but the moment she pulled it out, I knew it was perfect. It fit like it was made for me (only needed to be hemmed, which they did perfectly) and I was able to purchase that one! I recommend Danielle's to every bride I know!

The first appointment went great and found my dream dress. However the second appointment left me…read morefeeling really discouraged about my choice. The lady helping me started asking really personal questions about if I was living with my fiance yet. When I told her no she was obviously judging me for not living with him before we got married. Which I just thought was crossing a boundary for someone I've literally never met and whose business it is NOT. I got a lace up back on my dress and asked if I could see it without the panel behind it (some brides do that) and she basically told me I shouldn't do that because "it would look like lingerie" and she kept calling my wedding a "Bible wedding" and like wouldn't drop it even when I tried to move on. Basically implying "how could you want to show your back if you are a Christian". Then she goes on to talk to my maid of honor about "no brides really wait to move in with their finances anymore" and she went to tell the other girl at the counter about our conversation in front of me while I was paying. She then made the comment "if your mom was here what would she think" and I was just like shocked. As if my mom would be appalled if I showed like an inch of my back line who cares. My maid of honor was also super weirded out. It was so strange especially since my first experience was so good. But that being said I love my dress and am excited to wear it! But I probably will not recommend to a friend unfortunately.

From the moment we stepped into the store the personnel were so professional and actually excited we were there. Then we met Lorrel. You would have throught Katie was her daughter She was sooooo happy and excited to be of help and shared in the emotional moment Katie said "Yes to the Dress"! Yes, Katie tried on 10 dress but said "yes" with the very first dress. We were treated like Queens and princess with cupcakes, champagne and other treats. It made me feel like I would come back and get a dress and get married again (although I am 45 years in) Sitting down to write this, I just realized that Lorrel is the Owner of the "she said yes" Bridal Shop. You made my daughters dream come true right in front of her Mom! THANKS SO MUCH LORREL AND STAFF FOR HELP MAKING A DREAM COME TRUE!!!!!!!!

For the rental price, we could have purchased a comparable suit for our ring bearer rather than…read morerented one. To add injury to an insulting price, it was fitted badly, adult socks were provided for a toddler, his shoes were sized wrong, and his suspenders fit so poorly with his far too short pants that he literally dropped the ring because of them falling while he brought the ring forward! It would almost have been comical if we had not paid people good money to avoid such problems. The store's response to hearing they had failed to provide a professionally fitted suit? "You should have brought it back." Well we were forty five minutes away with a wedding in an hour. We trusted the job was done professionally and it was not. No apology, no discount offered; only a thoughtless dismissal. We paid them to do a competent job and they didn't deliver on that deal. No, that's not OK. Yes, fair people do refund money back in that context. But not even to extend the courtesy of an apology? Shameful. All that said, it is a newer location. Growing pains happen, especially for new operations. But it's clear that training so far is lacking. Will they improve? Maybe, that opportunity is there. Until a good number of reviews swear they've gotten their act together however, and quite possibly not even then, we won't be employing them again and our honest opinion is others should avoid doing so themselves. TL;DR: Until they get their act together, go elsewhere. ~$150 to suit up a kid, and then to do it badly? We should have just bought his outfit elsewhere.

My sons tux rental cost over $200 and after they measured him and fitted him his tux was still too tight. What a waste of money and time. Maybe this will help someone else not waste either of theirs.
