Cute store has lots of ornaments and cards lol very busy shopping complex. Prices are a little high but the sales are good. Didn't speak with anyone since I didn't buy anything. Went looking for nice pens for my staff. read more

I do not go to Hallmark often (partly because they are less ubiquitous than they used to be when I was a kid). So when I went to go pick up the latest "Transformers" ornament I took the chance to visit this Hallmark for the first time. Located in a rather modern and large shopping center, businesses nearby include Whole Foods, Petco, Dressbarn and more. It's a very nice place to shop and having a Hallmark makes for a nice store to visit. This is perhaps one of the largest Hallmarks I have visited in quite some time. The one that is in Port Authority Bus Terminal may be the next largest I have visited in recent years (and that one is currently under renovation so who knows who big it will be when they're done). When you walk in the entire store is sort of sensory overload. To one side is a section for clothing, oddly on another shelf are Halloween decorations (it's July as I write this). In another section are a bunch of stuffed animals including an entire set of shelves dedicated to Unicorns (it's kind of amazing). I was most interested in the ornaments of course, so I wound up all the way to the left side of the store where they had them against a wall. The display was really nicely done. In particular I loved the way the Star Wars ornaments were put together in "story" mode (they play audio clips from the movies). While they were going off, a staff member told me a fun story about how much her family loves those particular ornaments and how there are lines to buy them on opening day. When I went to check out, the cashier talked to me about how popular the ornaments were and asked me if I needed anything else. Overall the customer service as very nice and my entire experience was a pleasant one. read more

I thought I was crazy when I received the WORST SERVICE EVER at this Hallmark location. Like, who needs customer service in a card store? But I'm glad my feelings are validated reading these reviews. I went into the store today to get a card for my husband. I had our baby with us, but I had forgotten a stroller, and she's very active. I remembered Hallmark had breakable stuff, so I grabbed a cart from the parking lot and went in. As soon as I walked in, the woman behind the counter said "excuse me, miss, I have to double check, but I don't think we allow carts in here"...... So she calls a manager over (I could have already been checked out in the amount of time), and the manager says "nope. No carts in the store" So I ask "so you'd rather lose business than have me shop with my kid in a cart?" And her reply, with ALL THE ATTITUDE ..."you know what, do whatever you want" I was shocked at the response and the attitude. Never again. read more

I've been going to this Hallmark for five years now and never had a problem till this year in August 2019. Terrible and rude store manager they have and her name is Denise. The workers they have their are not friendly or welcoming when you come into the store. When you have your coupon or reward coupon they seem to give you a problem with using it. I always bought something from the store but this Friday when I presented a coupon they gave me last month to use anything Hallmark so at checkout they did not accept it and brought the manager to the front to tell me but she was nasty and rude with her smart remarks that I just left the item. I even had a problem with them when I was getting my free cards every Friday. I will not be returning to this store ever again. Hallmark Corporate needs to get a professional manager for the Hallmark store in Clark NJ and new staff members read more

Terrible terrible store manager there. Unfriendly, not helpful, acts like you are bothering them when asking if they have something. Don't waste your time here. Go to Ojohnnies right down the road! Ran into the hallmark store on Father's Day in a major rush because I waited until last minute and the two women behind the counter that day were so amazing..they took the time to wrap and bag my gifts..took the prices off and everything! Such a lifesaver after a crazy week. It's so hard to find good customer service now a days so it was MUCH appreciated. Thank you! read more

So I literally just left this store upset. I went into the store to purchase a gift bag for an anniversary gift for my wife as I am celebrating 32 years of marriage. I stood in line and waited patiently for my turn to pay for my item. I noticed that both cashiers were taking care of customers. Well....one of the cashiers finally finished and I thought that she would call me over to pay for my item after making eye contact. The cashier in turn walks away from the register instead of calling me over. In fact, she disappeared to the rear of the store to the amazement of myself and the customer behind me. My guess is that she didn't want to take care of me. So.... I returned my item back to its original location within the store and left very disappointed and disillusioned. While I am a black man, I would hate to think that my ethnicity would be the reason for the poor customer service. Nonetheless, I left the store disappointed and disillusioned as to why I was poorly treated. I have always had a great shopping experience at Hallmark stores. The store in Union closed a few years ago which now leads me to venture into Clark. Perhaps this is an isolated event. My hope is that I will have a better experience the next time around. read more

Nice store. Good promotions. Unfriendly store manager. She was not happy or friendly when I made a purchase then found my coupon and wanted a price adjustment. I then purchased a few more items to use with my coupon. Other retailers do it with a smile. Not her! She told me they don't like to do that and didn't say thank you or anything to me when I left. read more

I have been shopping in Hallmark stores for more than 45 years. This store has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I live in Clark and shop at the Hallmark store in Fanwood. The Fanwood staff is friendly and helpful. I gladly drive there and avoid the store in Clark. read more
