Bathtub refinishing really is a niche service, so I'm glad I was able to get a hold of A&E. They gave me the best quote and was able to come out a couple of days after the inquiry. Esteban came in early morning, promptly at the time he said he would. This might be a minor detail for some, but a big deal for me. He was very amicable and professional. He taped everything neatly in my bathroom, helped me remove whatever was in the way and got to work. After a couple hours, he was pretty much done. The odor of the paint was pretty strong, but with all the windows open and multiple air cleaners set on high, the smell disappated after a couple hours or so. Now, the tub looks shiny and brand new! Of the companies I contacted, he had great pricing and was very transparent and upfront about costs and potential factors that might affect the price such as condition of subfloor, etc. He gave me a range and wound up charging me on the lower end, which was appreciated. I had him put in Garrison engineered wood flooring in two bedrooms to try to match my existing wood floors in common areas along with a baseshoe to cover the gap between the floor and baseboard. He was able to keep the floor flush in one bedroom, and added a transition for the second because the subfloor had poured concrete and was higher than the landing.
