I know he gets people from Long Island coming down here for check-ups, so that should let you know how good he is. I wore bifocal contact lenses, but with most eye doctors, they tell you that you'll have to sacrifice either close-up vision or long distance if you wear bifocal lenses. So that severely limited my ability to wear them all the time. Dr. Newman figured out a way to give me both close-up and long distance vision, and I know I am not the only one he's done this for. He also carries just about every brand of contact lens out there. My wife has to wear a special brand of lenses that no one else carried after her first doctor retired. Dr. Newman carried that brand, of course. If you have contact lens issues, I just can't recommend him strongly enough.

I wish I could recommend this business, but we asked very clearly whether they were willing and…read moreable to take our national Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance and they said they were willing to do so. 7 months later both my husband and I got huge bills that our insurer won't reimburse us for directly because the provider is in network and the only way we can get reimbursed is by this provider correctly submitting claims with codes that will get the claim through from Highmark to our provider. It has taken half a dozen of us working - my husband, myself, multiple claims reps at our insurer - and they are all insistent that the only fix is a coding change at this office, but the office insists there is nothing different they can do. My only remaining option is to file with the Attorney General in both states to look into why we are not being provided in network coverage that was confirmed by phone on the date of service. We will never be able to trust this business again, and if you have anything but cash or completely straightforward insurance you may wish to look somewhere else. We are on month 2 of this saga and we are still literally being told not to pay and that it is illegal for this office to bill us per the terms of their network contract, but we are getting bills regularly and live in fear of being sent to collections despite being told by our own insurers not to pay because the bill is illegal and can't be reimbursed.

However, Dr. Han took her time and was very thorough, giving me eye tests on various medical machines I never saw anywhere else. Dr. Han would explain every test she gave me and why. Her sense of commitment and detail to the patient's care impressed me. During the last battery of tests, she observed a freckle on my left eye, which she explained could have been there for years. She asked if any other eye doctors I have seen ever mentioned seeing the freckle on my eye. I explained to her the previous doctors had never seen the freckle. She asked me to come in a few months later to follow up to monitor the freckle. I did return for a follow-up visit and was happy to report the freckle did not change in shape and size. I was relieved at this time and thanked her for taking the time for her comprehensive eye examination. From now on, she is my go-to person for my eyes, as I am confident they are now in good hands. The office has multiple exam rooms, and the waiting room was very welcoming, with a large selection of glass frames for a one-stop shop. The assistant was also friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The location is in a great, safe area, has ample parking, and is close to many other places of interest. I wanted to share this review with you as Dr. Han is a private practice, and she shared she wanted to give the best-personalized care for her patients. I do not see this in the big chains I used to visit.
