Sure, I've read the bad reviews and everyone as they say is entitled to their opinion but after countless visits I have found them to be nothing but consummate professionals in all aspects of their practice. I suspect a podiatrist can have a bad day but eyesight represents an entirely different level of trust -- it's the difference between a cranky bunion and suddenly being in the market for a guide dog. I've never left their offices thinking that they could have done better. Over the years some of the reception people have been uneven but that's an epidemic across all medical practices where lack of training, low pay, high turnover and corporate consolidation proliferate. I've been under the care of Dr. Priya Desai for years and I can't see myself changing... unless of course I find myself in the market for a guide dog (kidding.) Five clear-eyed stars.

I arrived on time for my appointment and found at least 20 people in the waiting room and then learned there were other patients scattered throughout the hallway and any other space that was open. I was left to wait 45 - 50 minutes without so much as a single update. Finally, I told the front desk staff I was leaving and emphasized that my insurance should not be billed for this non-visit. She was so unbothered I started looking around for the cameras since I was surely being pranked. There was zero apology let alone an acknowledgment for the wait and in fact I was genuinely asked if I would like to re-schedule my appt for another time. I looked at this person as if she grew a big horn out of her head. Its a shame because Dr Desai is extremely competent with an excellent bedside manner. I looked up some reviews of this practice because its in free fall mode and found out the practice was sold to a private equity company a few years back. Mystery solved. Pure Chaos! Avoid at all cost!

The co-pay, because I have VSP, is $10 for routine eye exams. However, they charged me a $50 co-pay today. Why? They said that the doctor made some notes about glaucoma--so they have to bill my health insurance rather than VSP, and the health insurance co-pay is $50. I told them that I did not ask to check anything about glaucoma and went for a routine exam (to know if the power of my eyeglasses changed or not and the doctor did check that). That did not change anything. I wanted to talk to the office manager---the manager repeated their earlier argument that "because of the doctor's note on glaucoma, we have to bill your health insurance." I felt as if I went to a store to buy a cheap shirt, but they forcefully put a brand-name shirt in my shopping bag and forced me to pay for it. Maybe, this whole thing has to do with a recent change in the management and doctors there. I would go to another practice next time.

I know it sounds really silly, but apparently is more common issue than I thought after talking with the eye doctor. They were able to fit me in same day. Front office staff was nice and quick. And Dr. Greidinger was very personable and knowledgeable. He explained how he was going to check the issue and answered any questions thoroughly. Will definitely come back for a regular eye exam the next time I need one.

It's not a walk in the park and the second time was more harsh than the second and yes there is aftercare -- lots of eye drops! The procedures were about a half hour each. The actual cutting was just a minute or two. It's far more strange than painful. Then it's over. It's only a day or so before you're able to do things again which really isn't bad considering the benefits. However, it's been 3 years now and it still is one of the best things I've ever done for myself. Dr. Wasserman is INCREDIBLY kind, steady, patient, and knowledgeable. His staff is quick to remedy any issues that come up. I've been going back for eye checkups there ever since. Office is clean. Wait times are reasonable. Location is perfect. I've sent my friends there for checkups and Lasik consultations and they've had good experiences as well. HIGHLY, highly, highly recommend!

Then proceeded to wait for over an hour in the room for this arrogant dismissive know it all to show up and not even acknowledge how late he was. When she wasn't cooperating (because she's just over a year old and had been waiting for over an hour) he was getting more and more frustrated, stopped the exam, told me nothing was wrong and to try again in 3-4 months the when my daughter was a bit more cooperative. Worst bedside manner I've ever seen from any doctor/medical professional. There are other eye doctors that will actually care about you and your child

I was fine with this. After seeing multiple people be called before me I went to see what was going on. I was told I never gave my name. I was never asked for my name. A different person was at the welcome desk and she said she couldn't explain why because she wasn't there when I came in. It's a small business so I asked her to go get the other person which she did not do at this point. There were more people waiting and I was not going to leave my name and be on the bottom of the list so I left and went to another provider. I then met with Dr. Harris who was equally as nice and was thoughtful to explain a few things going on with my eyes. He then gave me contacts to try and even answered all my questions about different eye drops I had. I was in a rush so did not pick my glasses out this visit, but the front door ladies were also just sweet as can be and so helpful. I wish I had one bad thing to say about this place but sadly I do not. Ohhh, and if you don't need glasses I would simply go there to see all the random celebrity pictures in their waiting room wall. No idea why Shaquille O'neal comes all the way to Yardley for his eye care, but there he was!

So finding an experienced, skilled and caring doctor is of paramount importance. We have done so with Dr. Ellis. My wife just got her second cataract surgery (her left was done in 2022), and we highly recommend Dr. Ellis, who performed the surgery. He and his staff are professional, caring and their total focus is on the patient's well being. He took great pains to describe the procedure and what to expect regarding preparation, use of the eye drops and recovery. The doctor was fine, but the way the practice is run is AWFUL and makes it just not worth the bother. I wish I had selected a different practice for my eye issue. After multiple visits over 3 months, I can say figure on a minimum of 90 minutes for an appointment most of which will be spent waiting around. Your time with the doctor and techs will take 10-15 minutes max. The practice is aware of the problem and the 90 minutes referenced above was an actual suggestion from a staff member when after waiting for over an hour I asked how much longer I would have to wait since I was expected back at work. They truly are not interested in how long you will have to wait. In reviewing my visit notes before giving to another provider, I noted errors in the doctor's instructions for three separate visits. I always take someone with me to appointments to prevent "misunderstandings" so these were not my error. There was also two errors in my medical history. When I brought one of the instruction errors to the doctor's attention during my final visit, he said, "The records haven't been updated." This means that it takes almost four weeks for them to transcribe notes (which are actually entered in the computer during your appointment). Also, if you correct the staff when they read the incorrect note, they make it clear they are not happy with you and act like you made the mistake. Almost two months after my last appointment someone from the billing department called saying there was a problem with my insurance. They were very rude and demanding and said "you have to call your insurance company and YOU have to tell them....." As it turned out there was an error at the insurance company, but the rude demanding attitude was definitely not appreciated. Front desk staff can also be quite moody. Sadly, while the doctor I had was very personable, the overall practice experience prevents me from using this group again or recommending them to others.
