And all my experience dealing with duel eligible coverage, I have never heard of a primary care office requiring an annual administrative or membership fee like this patients with Medi. Medi are often seniors with disabilities living on very limited fixed incomes, adding a mandatory yearly fee create an unexpected financial burden and feels specially concerning for this population. If you have Medicare and Medi-Cal, make sure you ask very clearly whether there are an annual administrative or membership fee before becoming a patient here transparency about costs should be standards, especially when serving vulnerable patients.

However, the problem was after my visit. Horrible communication with the doctor's office staff. They kept calling my mom's cellphone number for my blood test results and for ultrasound appointment. I never heard back about my ultrasound results and I never got my skin cream that the doctor said she was going to give me. I asked for it again the second time I visited the office too (for forms). Also, you have to call at least 10 times to talk to someone on the phone and I waited 2 months for my appointment. They never took accountability nor contacted us to check on him, which only reinforced how careless and uninvested they were in their patients' well-being. We've filed a formal complaint with the Medical Board of California and have been assigned an analyst for further investigation. Patients deserve care that's organized, accountable, and safe -- not chaos. If you care about your time, your health, or your loved ones, I strongly recommend finding a different cardiologist.
