Driving north on I-35 and luckily found this spot! Had an amazing and delicious dinner with…read morefantastic service! We were too hungry to take any pictures! Sorry about that! Started with the spinach artichoke dip - creamy, cheesy, and lots of artichokes, spinach, and mushrooms! The chips served with it were fresh, crisp, and had the perfect amount of salt! My husband and I shared our two entrees - the chicken fried pork chop and the pork chop marsala. Both were excellent! The pork was tender and juicy with each dish. And the Marsala sauce was one of the best I've tried! We wish we could have tried more items...but it would be well worth the drive to come back for another visit!

Really frustrating experience tonight…read more We had trouble placing our order online, so we called instead. The phone was answered with "what's up?" Our order was taken at 10:05 PM and we were told it would be ready in about 30 minutes. We arrived around 10:40 PM and the restaurant's open sign was off, chairs were already up, and there were no customers inside, which already seemed odd. When we went in, we were told, "we've been calling you, we were about to eat your food," but we had zero missed calls or voicemails. Then she told us they close at 10 PM. The confusing part is the door, Google, Maps, and online all say Saturday hours are until 11 PM. If they were actually closed, why was our order accepted after 10 PM instead of simply saying they were closed? To top it off, parts of our order were missing as well. Overall, just a very frustrating and unprofessional experience. Clear communication and accurate hours would've avoided this entire situation.

Nice interior with a patio for outdoor seatings I tried the grilled redfish with mash potato's and green beans. It was topped with shrimp and crawfish. My only criticism was it had only 2 shrimp. Aside from that it was cooked well and tasted great. We also tried the bean, rice sausage cup and that was tasty! Last we tried the cheeseburger since my partner doesn't like seafood. Had two juicy patties and came with a side of seasoned fries. They have a range of seafood items from grilled to fried and daily specials. Limited non seafood options but it's a seafood restaurant. To top it all off; can't give enough kudos to our young server, Sam! Sam was on point the entire visit. He helped answer questions, described plates and helped with selection and was attentive. He was polite and charismatic the entire time. Even if the food is great, bad service can break the experience and Sam did amazing. Thank you Sam for making my evening!

On this visit, I had the rainbow trout, and it was absolutely amazing. You could tell it was fresh right away--perfectly seasoned, nicely seared, and flaky without being dry. It came with green beans and roasted potatoes, plus a flavorful sauce that complemented everything really well. We also ordered the fish and chips, which were just as impressive--crispy, golden, and light, not greasy at all. The portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and well-prepared. The service really stood out too. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of without hovering--exactly what you want when dining out. Overall, Fish City Grille continues to deliver: fresh seafood, consistent quality, and great service. That's why we keep coming back. Highly recommend.

That extra touch set the tone for an incredible evening. The food? Absolutely next level. The crab side appetizer was phenomenal, the steak was cooked to perfection, and the lobster risotto was hands-down mouthwatering. Every bite just kept getting better and better. And dessert... the perfect ending to an already amazing night. Outstanding service, incredible food, and attention to detail that truly makes you feel special. We'll absolutely be back!!

What really left a bad taste, though, was the review situation. Some of the glowing reviews feel a little too cozy to be credible. One is from a lady who runs a company the restaurant pays into every year, regularly travels with the owners, and hands them a "best of" award annually. Then a review from the husband. Another review is clearly planted. There was also a negative Google review that was quickly followed by rave reviews from friends.. Convenient timing. If this place is truly as amazing the new reviews state, why the need to rally friends for damage control? And why didn't those people feel inspired to review it before things went south? Something feels off here. The inside-circle energy here is loud and proud.

As far as the ambiance, I think it's very clean and laid back. I enjoyed watching the Spurs game while I ate. Now let's get into the food... I'll start off with the bad: Seafood Boils: I believe the crawfish weren't washed well enough. They had a distinct smell and lots of poop. I've never had them like this and I've eaten crawfish in a lot of places and different cities. The "queen crab leg" was good and a nice size. And the potatoes and andouille sausage were good along with the eggs. Overall I think they could improve the actual water and seasoning in which the seafood is cooked in. The sauce was okay but also lacked some flavor. Needless to say, I will not be returning for any boils but maybe try other items on the menu. Boudin Balls: 5/5 - full of flavor and it was fresh! Fried Pickles: 5/5 - the best I've had. Delicious! All of this came out to $182 including the tip. I think they are a bit overpriced and charge for every little thing like taking the head off the shrimp lol.

I always order it as spicy as they'll possibly make it because if you're not questioning your life choices halfway through the bag, are you even eating crawfish correctly? My family and I went not too long ago for my birthday and it was honestly the perfect place to celebrate. The spice level had my nose running, my eyes watering, and me still going back for more like I had something to prove. On top of the amazing food, the restaurant itself was super clean and the lighting and decorations are always fun to look at. It's one of those places where the atmosphere just makes you feel comfortable and ready to hang out for a while. Our server was incredibly sweet and made sure everyone at the table was taken care of the whole time. She checked on us often, kept the good vibes going, and made the experience even better. Overall, amazing food, great service, and a fun environment. I would absolutely come back again and again... probably with a roll of paper towels and a warning to anyone sitting next to me about the spice level.
