I went in to buy a new belt and both employees were rude as hell and disinterested in my situation with an utter lack of empathy. I still managed to find a belt and buy it on the spot. Two weeks later while in the same restroom at The True North convenience store, the new belt I had just bought broke right in half at the Buckle. Again I went to the fashion warehouse and they again were inhospitable and wouldn't help me it at all in exchanging the belt. So now I'm stuck holding my pants up as I walk around because I made the mistake of buying a cheap faulty product at a cheap store with inferior products that don't care when they break. That's the thing about this company - they treat their employees well and I've never met anyone who didn't love their product and love working here. If wanted a job I would be working for them. But it's all about the clothes - the comfort and feel. And wearability. And how they make you feel. You can dress it up or dress it down...Whether planning to spend the day in the kitchen or go to a ball (I have worn a dress I bought here to a formal ball). I have clothing that is years old that never wears out. I might get sick of wearing it, but it doesn't wear out. It used to be when I got a new catalog, I would have to jump in the car and head to Cincinnati. Everybody there knew my name and said they had been waiting for me to show up! So it was a happy day when they finally came to Dayton. And now we have two here...they make it easier to locate my size. But this is my home store...and they not only know my name, they know my number. And when I say "call me when this jacket comes in" I know my phone will be ringing in a matter of days. As I continued browsing, I found two pairs of loafers I really liked and went to look for the male salesperson who had initially helped me. While he was engaged in a discussion with another staff member, Shannon noticed me and kindly stepped in to assist. She was friendly, attentive, down-to-earth, had a great attitude, and made me feel like a valued customer right away. I showed her the shoes I wanted, and she took it from there with professionalism and a smile. It turns out my feet have actually shrunk -- I now need a half size smaller! Shannon went to the back to get another size for me. In the meantime, I decided to try on the first pair (the ones I thought were too small), and to my surprise, they fit perfectly. When Shannon returned with the smaller size loafers, they fit well but slipped off my heel.
