As a very picky person, I absolutely love this place. The lady who checked me in at the counter was so nice despite it being a very rainy day. She was genuine and upbeat. I can't say that about most places. Their selections are classy and they had a $1 clearance that day. read more

Selection is plentiful but customer service is not. Used to be a good experience and it has become a chore to sell any items. Last three times I've been there has been disappointing in attitudes of.employees and I keep trying to find the fun but too many rules have limited my shopping. read more

Don't waste your time selling here. I brought a tote of very nice, current items (including some with tags still on them!). There were items from JCrew, Loft, Banana Republic, Nike, Nordstrom Rack, etc. In the bottom of the tote was also a pair of Lululemon leggings with the tag still on size 6. I had called first to ask what categories of clothing they were most interested in and brought only those type of items. I have a smoke free, pet free home. Anything without a tag, I laundered and folded neatly the night before. The person at the counter said it could be 20-30 minute wait because there were two people in front of me. No problem, I was interested in shopping while I waited. I saw some of the same brands in the store that I had brought in. Some of the items I saw seemed dated and worn and the prices seemed high for the quality and selection of items With that, I figured they would love everything I brought and I would get a decent amount of money. I was browsing at a rack near the register and looked up to see the person pickup my tote shortly after I walked away. I watched her rustle her hand through the first three-four layers of clothing, not taking a single item out of the tote to look at. She then put the tote aside. Within thirty seconds, I received a text that my items were ready. What? I didn't know how to react. I was a little taken aback and a little mad. Was there something wrong with what I brought, or did she just not care enough to look at the items properly? I then watched her do the same routine to the next bag of clothing she picked up. When I went to the counter, she said "Sorry, not what we are looking for." So I asked if it was types of clothing that they didn't need? And she said, 'it was mostly not the quality and condition they were looking for and that they preferred name brands'. What?! Then I looked at my tote of clothes she gave back. The top few layers were a mess (not even attempted to make them look neat) and the bottom layers were still perfectly folded. I said 'It seems like someone was very careless with my items. I had brought all of these in neatly folded and the things on top look balled up and tossed in there' She said 'oh no, that can't be. We take great care with every item; examining each one and folding and putting back in the bag anything we are not interested in.' I had picked out a shirt and a pair of jeans to purchase and left them at the counter and didn't purchase a thing. There were at least 4 workers when I was there. A couple shoppers, but not super busy. It was around 11:30am so not at closing time or a weekend or anything. I believe the worker was named Jennifer but not positive. Side note: The next day, I took my items to Uptown Cheapskate. The lady working said they were not buying much because they had plenty of inventory, but she saw the Nike sweatshirt on top and said she would go ahead and take a look. Seems that whenever they're busy & have lots of incoming items, they just rush through to get rid of your items & make excuses as to why they arent buying anything (even if your items have tags & are high end brands?!?) Interesting when their racks are full of Old Navy, Target & Walmart brands, but they turn away other items. Just happened to me again. I dropped off at the end of the day & was told it wouldn't be processed until the next day because they already had a lot to get through. I expected that & told them it was fine. I went next door to shop at Plato's Closet. Not even 30 minutes later, I get a text that it's been processed?!?! I go over & they had somehow processed ALL the waiting bags (in 30 minutes??!?!) & had chosen to buy *nothing* of mine and nothing the woman who walked in immediately after me. It's ridiculous! Only the very top 1/4 or so of the clothes I'd brought in looked like they'd even been touched. My bags were clear so I could see some of the clothes still folded & laid exactly as I'd placed them. Happened to me at their neighbor store, Once Upon A Child, a few months ago. It REALLY makes me rethink even bothering to give them the opportunity when lazy employees just want to clear the incoming clothing. Not sure I'll be back - to buy or sell - if this is how they treat customers & waste their time. read more

First off they have an Instagram and tell you if you want to hold something to comment hold. I did that and called to purchase the item because I'm out of town. They said I could not do that because they didn't have a way for me to pay for it using my credit card over the phone. She said to keep watching they have stuff all the time. In my opinion The employees are rude and it's hard to get anyone to even help you at the store. Their designer items are double the prices of most other Clothes Mentors. I would not recommend them and I will not be back. read more

I spent alot of time going through my beautiful work suits, called to ask if they would consider them, and of course they replied with, sure bring them in....3 bins they bought a pair of shoes and a small purse...really? Just be honest about what you are looking for as to not waste my time. I would rather donate to the women's shelter or clothes that work charities. read more

I am a regular customer of this location. I am shocked by the other reviews because I have had nothing but great experiences. The manager is so nice to me, as are most of the staff. Some are friendlier than others, but I would never describe them as rude. I have sold and purchased from the store. Never an issue. It's one of my favorite places to shop. read more

This is a new Clothes Mentor and store is bright and boutique style. The environment makes me feel more fancy while saving money on resale items. Staff has been great including when I've mistakenly selected ship vs in store pickup or vice versa. I am able to get help when needed. This location has really fun and amazing brands coming in all the time. I have not sold to them however if they are picky it shows in quality of items to shop. It's a must to check out! read more

I stopped by today to sell a basket of new clothes with tags that would no longer fit me, most of which being the brand LuLaRoe. They took all of my Old Navy brand clothes, but claimed they don't buy any LuLaRoe brand clothes. Even though when I was shopping myself I saw 30+ LuLaRoe items on the racks. I confronted her about this and she said "Only Kimonos" despite seeing a rack full of dresses and shirts. I did my own research and saw that Old Navy and LuLaRoe both weren't on the website as brands they buy. If you're going to lie and say you don't buy LuLaRoe, why would you buy another brand from me you "don't sell?" And why wpuld you blatantly lie about buying a brand when there's dozens of pieces in front of me? BTW: Only received $11 dollars cash for a basket full of their most requested clothes with tags. You're better off selling on a resale app like Mercari or Poshmark. read more

If you're looking to make some money this isn't the place but if you're looking to just unload some stuff you can do that here and get a few bucks. I had SEVERAL brand new with tags JCrew and Loft items as well as never worn shoes -- everything I had was brand name and I got $52. I also felt they were acting funny as they handed me back baskets of things they didn't want which included all of my shoe boxes but the boxes were empty. It just seemed a little shady how they did it. I had a pair of BARELY worn excellent M Kors boots and they offered me $8.50. I took those back. I probably will use them again because it's either that or Goodwill for me -- I hate the hassle of trying to sell things online then arrange pick up, etc. So maybe some dollars are better than no dollars. read more

This place is a breath of fresh air. I visited several times prior to their grand opening when they were in their buying stage. I thought what they offered me was fair and there is the advantage of some $$ for things you aren't wearing but could be what someone else wants. They are careful to be on trend and not take any worn out items and some things they may just have enough of for the time being. I looked forward to the Grand Opening (actually had a couple of items in mind that I wanted to purchase) but when I went over that day there were too many people in the aisles ( a tribute to their great offerings) and with only a few cashiers I could not wait in line for what would have been over an hour, needless to say I was very disappointed. BUT--I waited til the following Monday and actually found one of the items I wanted and made my purchase. Well worth it. read more
