I spent three frustrating weeks going back and forth trying to find a solution to my A/C problem--only to discover that the issue was caused by their negligence from the very beginning. Nick recharged my system with the wrong type of Freon, which contaminated the entire A/C system. On top of that, he insisted I replace a part that wasn't even the problem. After spending $2,024, I was still left with the exact same issue. The first time I brought my vehicle in, all I wanted was a proper diagnostic and a leak test. Instead, they recharged the system without my approval and charged me $240. I let it go at the time, hoping maybe that would fix the issue--but it didn't. I continued asking for a leak test every time I returned over the next three weeks, and they never performed it. I finally took my vehicle elsewhere, and within one visit, they did a proper leak test and immediately identified the real problem: a faulty condenser. This shop wasted my time, money, and patience. They claim to be experts, but their actions proved otherwise. Their misdiagnosis and carelessness led to unnecessary repairs and costs. After all this, Tom refunded me only $140--a small gesture considering the damage and stress caused. I'm extremely disappointed in the service and professionalism of this shop. I came in to get an estimate for a possible air compressor replacement. I was told there would be a $75 charge for a recharge if it turned out my A/C was low. After inspecting the car (which took no more than 2 minutes), the technician told me the system was actually full and didn't need a recharge. At that point, I expected to just get the estimate and leave, but the technician brought us into his office and tried to charge us $75 for a "diagnosis"--something that was never mentioned beforehand. When we calmly explained that this wasn't what we agreed to, he became upset and ultimately told us to leave and not come back. It was a really unprofessional and disappointing experience. I went in for help, was misled about the cost, and ended up being treated rudely for standing by what was originally said. Would not recommend. read more

One of thee worst experiences I've ever had dealing with an auto repair business. I brought my son's 2008 4 Runner for a complete a/c replacement: condenser, compressor and evaporator. The whole shabang. Upon first contact with Tom, the owner, I just knew I was about to have a bad experience. My son initially had Tom service his car back in April 2025, but Tom inexplicably claimed to have no record of this service, which nullified any opportunity for my son to argue any potential warranty violation. Tom said his new computer system did not allow for the transfer of old data, which is such an incredible explanation, considering the systems of today. Tom initially agreed to grant my son a discount of $400, but the total cost still amounted to $2500. After a couple days, car was "ready" for pickup, but with an additional $200 charge for the install of an evaporator valve, which Tom failed to first notify my son about. Also, the actuator suddenly didn't operate due to it being reinstalled "backwards," as it was explained by the technician, which forced us to bring the car back for another couple days. Tom also explained that the evaporator valve is "always" replaced with the evaporator, but my point was that he should have first notified my son instead of performing the work and charging him without notification. Tom agreed to "think about" removing the extra $200 charge for the evaporator valve, but upon pickup, the invoice still included that charge, so I called Tom to discuss. He hung up on me despite my efforts to speak with calm, respect and understanding. I will NEVER patronize this business again! read more

In 2023 Aug 2023 Norco Auto Air installed a new compressor and other components on my 2006 Civic. System performed well for a year but wasn't as cold during Aug 2024 heat wave. I needed to responsibly Evacuate/Recover the R134a refrigerant in my 1999 Mazda Miata. It's illegal to release into the atmosphere. I'm replacing the A/C compressor, condenser, evaporator, etc myself. I called and spoke to Tom, the owner, that told me he would do it. Most shops try and charge for this service but he recovered my system free of charge. I showed up at his shop within 10 mins and he had me out of there within 10 mins. What other shops don't realize is that gesture alone makes me want to come back to Norco Auto Air to recharge my system when I'm done and pay for that service. I was referred to this business yesterday when I had an oil change at another shop. I called yesterday explaining my problem with my air conditioner and the work already done from another mechanic. We have an old old OLD 1999 Chev Silverado, that just keeps going! But the air, not so much. So I finally paid Norco Auto Air to have it replaced...but 6 months later it wouldn't blow cold air. These guys are awesome and provide incredible value. We have a 1996 Toyota Landcruiser that hasn't had working A/C for over 10 years and we haven't fixed it because we hardly drive it. At the time it broke the told us it would be a $2500 fix. I asked them to do the diagnosis and they charged $50 that could be applied to the repair. They told me the repair would be less than $600. I mentioned that the location of dryer (which is necessary for the replacement) happens to be kind of low on the front bumper - frequently gets busted on 4X driving - and asked if he has any solutions. Without any further discussion, he mounted it way higher and way better for us - at no additional charge. Anything we ever need for A/C will come back to these guys. Excellent service. read more

My a/c was not blowing cold air. I brought it in and they worked on it. When it was ready we went in to pick it up. It needed a new compressor so it was a $$ hit but not as bad as some other places. But when I turned on the car it was still blowing hot air. They tested it and found that it also need new spark plugs. Had to leave it one more day cause they needed to order them. When we picked it up there was no further charge for work. Everyone was very nice. I will definitely recommend this place and will go back if any of my cars have a/c problems. read more

Compressor failed on my 2006 Dodge Ram, job was suppose to be completed by 2pm, received a call that they were shipped the incorrect compressor and if I could leave the truck one more day. I mentioned that it was the only vehicle I had to get to work. I received a call at 4pm telling me that he found a compressor and it would be at their shop by 430 and that they would stay late to get the job done. I went to have my AC check it would blow cold after a few minutes and after it would blow hot air. The guy there said it probably just needs to be recharge it may be low Freon or it may have a leak. This place was recommended by my coworker who took their car here and they say he did a good job. There AC is really cold now. So I needed a second opinion on my 2006 civic AC as why it's not cold after I got the work done somewhere else. He checked it and say all I needed was a compressor and expansion valve. He ask me to take it back to previous place sine it's under warranty. So I took it to another place that also cover the warranty from the the fit place that did the work. They were very courteous and took our two vehicles in with appointments that we had made. When we arrived there was no waiting, and before we left they were moving our cars into the work bay. We got a prompt call from the Technician with a diagnosis and estimate for our two vehicles. About 4 Hours later we got a call telling us that our vehicles were ready, way ahead of the times that I had estimated it would take. We retrieved our vehicles and to our joy the air conditioning was Ice Cold!!!! They finished up the paperwork and informed us about the one year warranty. They do just A/C repairs and do it well. Took my RV there. Didn't matter that it was a diesel pusher with condenser in front and compressor in the back, AC is AC. They found a leaking high-pressure hose and a cracked vacuum line. Repaired the hose (cut and crimped on new end), replaced the vacuum line and recharged the system. They also replaced a bad compressor pulley and tested the compressor. Works better than ever; work done thoroughly and reasonably. read more
