I called and left a message on the their answering machine, they returned my call within 15 minutes and answered all my questions. I was able to make an appointment for them to come to my house the same afternoon. When he arrived five minutes early, he was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I explained what needed to be repaired and he kept me informed of what he was doing. All cost were explained on the phone BEFORE he came to the house and he did not try to bait and switch like some other places do. The next time I need a locksmith I know who I am calling and if you want to save some money and headache, you should be calling NOR CAL LOCKSMITH too. read more

Chose this guy from the reviews on yelp. The reviews were spot on! Ray was awesome. Very professional and courteous. I had a different "locksmith" try to fix and rekey my front door who was unsuccessful and did not put back together the lock properly. Ray knew exactly what he was dealing with and quickly fixed and rekeyed my door! He was very informational about the locking mechanism and he even fixed my chain lock at no charge! Great guy! You will not be disappointed. read more

Awesome locksmith company. I had our office manager change out our locks at our law office because we had some tenants leave our building. She saw the great reviews on Yelp and gave them a call. Scheduled an appointment right away and the cost was very reasonable. Another company wanted to charge us just to come out and look at it. Highly impressed with the service and cost. Will definitely use them again for my other rental properties if I need a lock changed. Thanks! read more

I called and spoke to Ray about a barrel lock that I needed to have rekeyed and he referred me to another business locally that has exactly what I need. He was so pleasant and professional if I ever get locked out of my house this'll be my first call! read more

I also found Ray on Yelp. BEST locksmith ever!! We needed our home's locks to be rekeyed to one key. After discovering that the locks we had were from many different manufacturers (that of course were not compatible with each other), it was decided that I would head to the hardware store to buy a new lock (our old lock was old and I was actually worried that it might break on us) for our front door (in order for all our locks to be on 1 key). It took me WAY TOO long in the hardware store to find the right lock (that also could be ordered with a dummy set, thus causing Ray to run late. Ray was nothing but professional. It was completely my fault that he was here longer than usual, but didn't make me feel bad. I offered to pay him for his entire time here and he said not to worry about it, that we didn't know that we'd run into that issue. I have nothing but excellent things to say about Ray. Would recommend him to anyone that needed a locksmith. I now have a home with fully functioning locks that work off of the same key!! I am a completely satisfied customer. As many of the other reviewers have said Ray ROCKS!!! He is absolutely reasonably priced, quick and extremely skilled and professional! read more

Last week Ray came out to our new commercial building to put in new locks. He came on time, had a great professional attitude, and was prepared to get to work! He changed the locks, made new keys on the spot, and charged me less than his time is worth. I will call Ray for any other locksmith issues I may have in the future and highly recommend him. He is just nice and professional! He should raise his rates though, ridiculous! read more

I would highly recommend using this company for your locksmith services. I needed my locks changed immediately and I called Ray at 12:15pm and he was at my house at 1:30pm . He was so friendly and knowledgeable! He made wonderful suggestions on ensurinf the safety of our home and also helped us reprogram our garage even though that wasn't part of the original plan. Ray was easy to work with and worked quickly! I am very grateful for his services! read more

I called Ray @ NorCal Locksmith based on the reviews I found in Yelp, and was not let down. Ray showed up as scheduled, and changed 3 locks as well as installed a new handle on my privacy screen door, as well as made 4 sets of keys. Ray noticed that my front door was not hanging right on its hinge, and fixed that too, for no cost! The service was very quick, and reasonably priced (just under $150.00) I wouldn't hesitate to call Ray again for any future locksmith job that I may have, he was great! read more

There is no reason to ever call another locksmith. Ray at NorCal Locksmith is as good as it gets!

I called NorCal Locksmith based on the Yelp reviews, and I was not disappointed. Ray showed up the same day, explained his pricing thoroughly, and zipped through my house (8 doors) and re-keyed everything. He even fixed a couple of loose handles. Very reasonable prices and excellent service. Thanks, Ray! read more

My son just bought a home with three doors all with separate keys. Ray was awesome! He rekeyed the locks, so we only have to have 1 key. He suggested getting a "Do Not Duplicate" key that I can give to contractors doing work in the home. He also noticed that the front door knob was upside down and there were two strike plates missing on the back door. He took care of everything! He made sure I checked all the locks and keys to ensure they were all working appropriately before he left. You can't ask for better service than this. read more

Ray did an excellent job! He was on time, friendly, fast, and his price was totally straightforward. I would recommend him to anyone in the area. read more

I don't have much more to add that hasn't been posted already. Ray took the time to examine the issue with my door and called the manufacturer to explain what parts were needed for the repair (my locks were not the type you could go pick up at Home Deport!) I didn't want to order any parts that were not needed and he could talk the lingo with the sales rep. Ray was professional, took the time to explain everything and was very responsive to my calls or emails. read more

Let me just say...Ray is awesome! He is prompt, professonal, and very knowledgeable. He re-keyed 5 locks for me and fixed a sticky deadbolt that a previous locksmith could not fix! Also, his prices are extremely reasonable. He will be the only locksmith I call from now on, both personally and professionally. In fact, I have already referred him to a co-worker. Holy crap! I was VERY impressed with Ray's reviews and then he got here and I was even MORE impressed with him! He was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, he even fixed a few things on the doors that he didn't need to (after asking permission). He offered us some coaching on what we should look for that might come up on several of our doors. He was quick, VERY reasonably priced and I can not say enough about him. If you want the best and trustworthy, Ray is your guy. Thanks Ray and happy holidays! read more

I bought a house & needed my locks re-keyed. I called a few other locksmiths & then spoke with Ray of NorCal Locksmith. He got a great review on Yelp, was the most reasonably priced, had a good looking website (ok I'll admit I judge a company, at least partially, on the look of their website) & he seemed like an all around decent guy (some of the other places I called were questionable at best)... so I decided to go with NorCal. I'm so glad I did! If I could give them 10 stars I would. Ray was willing to work around my schedule, actually scheduled an appointment time (vs. an estimated arrival window), showed up on time, was pleasant & personable & got right to work. I asked about future installation of a deadbolt (because I didn't think he'd have the time to fit it in on the same appointment). Even though it wasn't originally part of the scope of work, he grabbed the additional tools & parts needed & added it to the job with no problem. He re-keyed 4 locks & installed a new deadbolt in a little over an hour! I definitely recommend NorCal Locksmith for any of your locksmith needs! read more

I'm new to the area so I decided to search online for a locksmith. NorCal got great reviews, so I went to the website to find out how to contact them. Ray not only called me the same day, he sent an email quoting me a great price to re-key my locks. Even my parsimonious mother-in-law approved of the quote. I made the appointment and he came out the same day, exactly on time. Professional and fast, and he replaced the turning knob on the front deadbolt as well. read more

Spoke with Ray over the phone regarding some residential-door child safety locks. He offered sound advice and provided the best recommendations for my needs.
