I'm very happy about Ray's service. The 5 star is well deserved! Ray helped me to rekey the house today. While at my house, he noticed that my garage door panel has a piece of glass missing. He volunteered to take off the panel, and told me where to buy glass and how to install the panel back. Ray has reasonable rate and was very prompt for the service appointment. read more

This is my 1st Yelp review. The lock on my front door came loose and was disengaged internally so I came on Yelp to see which local locksmiths had high ratings and would help me fix it. I went with Ray due to excellent reviews. He couldn't come out immediately but was kind enough to recommend someone even closer to my house. He inquired what the problem was and quickly diagnosed it and was kind enough to walk me through getting it fixed by myself right over the phone, which I did. I honestly have never had a business be so kind and honest - at the risk of not getting any money out of me. What he has gained from me is trust and a ready customer should I ever need any need for his service. Thanks Ray! read more

Took the reviews off this site and was glad I did. Ray returned my call promptly. His quote over the phone was accurate and he gave me the option to purchase the hardware myself to save some money. Ray arrived on time, did the work in a timely manner and guarantees his work for 30 days. I had two deadbolts installed and he keyed them all the same so I didn't have to get new sets for the family. Highly recommend. read more

Ray was very helpful!! I called him to come out to our Roseville office and he was able to come the next day! He not only fixed two locks but called me to make sure I knew how much it was going to cost and gave me a couple options rather than giving me the most expensive option. He also was great to leave a copy of the keys for us! We are not always in this office but he was great at getting the job done without us there and communicating with me by phone. He then sent us a bill by email which was very convenient. I definitely recommend him and his business and will use him in the future! read more

I had 3 vintage locks to replace, and was not sure they would work. NorCal was ON-TIME, to the appointment, surveyed the scene, did the work professionally, and did not gouge me for the effort. I will call again when I need help. A good experience. Thank you, E. Richardson read more

Great service! Nice owner. 5 stars because he fit me in the day I called, fixed a problem that had gone beyond my own skills, provided an extra set of keys as a courtesy service, and finished his work quickly and professionally. He worked with parts that I already had by making a small adaptation to the parts. Looks great, works perfectly. Price was fair, and Ray is a very pleasant person to be around read more

Wow - didn't realize I used Ray a few years back! And today in our new home...I had the same great service as I did back in June 2013! Called and Ray answered - was already near my home in Newcastle and came by within minutes! We have a french door that wouldn't unlock. He fixed it quickly and professionally. Also made some recommendations to prevent or address any other issues with similar doors in our home.....very polite, quick and reasonable! Thank you Ray! read more

Ray was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. It took him no time at all to rekey three locks for us. And, when we found we had a time conflict, he was accommodating enough to come to our house earlier than previously scheduled. We would highly recommend Norcal Locksmith. read more

I locked my keys in my car the other day called these guys and they had me back on the road in less than half an hour. Thanks again Ray!

Called in at 9am, arranged to change lock at our new retail space. Ray came at 11, explained our choices, boom! done in 20mins.

We called yesterday and were able to have NorCal come to our residence today (not to mention make an actual appointment opposed to a window of time they might arrive) & were on time for their appointment. The owner is friendly over the phone & in person. They were knowledgeable & were able to answer all our questions. They were able to re-key, make keys all on site. The pricing was reasonable and I would use them again & recommend them to others. Thanks Ray! read more

Ray was amazing. Super responsive, quick service and very nice. I had a dead bolt that was broken so he replace the bolt and the handle and looked at a couple of other locks while he was here. I would definitely recommend him. read more

This is a late review. I bought a house in eary Novemeber and had NorCal Locksmith come out and change the locks on the house. The service was prompt, professional and curteous. I made an appointment for a friday, which was a holiday, and when I arrived at my new place Ray was already there waiting. He changed all the locks on the house within about 30-45 minutes and was very friendly. I asked him about what locksmith licensing entailed and he explained the in and outs and what to look for in a locksmith. I have zero complaints and I will definitely use them again if I need a locksmith. read more

We needed 6 locks total re-keyed, so I called 3 locksmiths for estimates. Ray, the owner operator of Norcal Locksmith, was so personable on the phone that I decided to use his services. He was able to come on the same day I called, and in fact even moved the time to an earlier appointment after calling me to see if that would be okay. He performed the re-key very quickly and efficiently. He avoided going through the home on newly shampooed rugs, although he did offer to take off his shoes! His work was perfect, and he was careful to test all 3 keys in all 6 locks to make sure they were all operating smoothly. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a great locksmith! read more

Friendly, Professional and Courteous - Ray fully exceeded my expectations. He gave suggestions but also followed my requests to a "T".

Ray was incredible. I called him yesterday to have a lock repaired and change a lock to align with the keys for other doors in the house - reduce the need for multiple keys on different locks! Ray was able to come out the same day and was incredibly professional, courteous and honest about the best options for the best cost. He was very patient as I was multi-tasking and working from home. Cannot thank him enough. I will use NorCal for any locksmith needs we have in the future and recommend him to everyone! read more

These people are the real deal! They were expert and courteous in handling a number of items when we moved into our "new" home. Ray followed up on his workman's excellent work, and there was one last thing that I had forgotten to ask the workman to do. Ray jumped in it, came out, and did a perfect job on my forgotten item. And although it was my fault that I had forgotten to ask for the work the first time, Ray wouldn't let me pay him for it. What more can I say about such exemplary service! I give Ray and his team my highest recommendation! read more

My wife and I own a high-end safe that we love. Initially we had a brass combination lock, but opted to later switch to a digital combination lock for faster access. About a week after changing the battery on the digital combination the locking mechanism seemed to have failed and I could no longer open the safe. It seemed the digital lock had failed and I would need to have my safe drilled and re-tooled for a new lock. I made an appointment with NorCal Locksmith and we talked via phone and text to arrange an appointment. Now for the kicker...Ray gave me an estimated price to fix/repair and we set an appointment. On a whim, he suggested I try another brand of battery and so I went home and switched the battery. Sure enough, that solved my problem and my safe opened and has been trouble free since. Ray had the chance to essentially come out to my house and fix my safe at a substantial cost to me and I would have never known a $10.00 battery was the solution. Honestly is a rare quality in many businesses and it is clear Ray is an honest businessman who actually cares about his reputation and his customers. He has my business for life and if any of my friends, co-workers or family ever need a locksmith NorCal Locksmith will get their business. read more

On time, excellent, friendly service with up front pricing. We had two dead bolts rekeyed and it took then no time. They also provided some great options for child locks for our exterior facing doors. We'll definitely use them again. read more

Ray is extremely professional, polite and you can definitely rest well once you have his services. He gives sound advice and will tell you what all of your options are, which is very helpful. I encourage everyone to only go with a legitimate, licensed locksmith and you can verify Ray is licensed with the state. I agree with all of the other 5 star reviews based on my experience having his service as well. read more

Ray is very professional and reliable. We really appreciated his quick response for service this morning.

I had an excellent experience by hiring Ray to fix my patio door handle mechanism. He showed up on time, explained the problem and the options I had, provided a fair quote, and helped me take advantage of the manufacturer's warranty. He was professional and efficient. For my next locksmith job I wouldn't look anywhere else. read more

I would highly recommend NorCal locksmith. Ray was very nice and professional. He explained everything that he was doing, cleaned up after he was finished and even called after he left to say that although he had cleaned up I should double check to make sure that there were no loose screws since I have a baby (and yes there were no loose pieces). I would definitely use them again. read more

After spending a week with my 92-year-old parents my mother discovered she could not lock her safe. I know nothing about safes and NorCal was recommended by another locksmith who was too busy that day. What a pleasant experience. Ray was able to communicate by text and phone and let me know what the problem was. It was easy to fix and he didn't charge me anything. After a very stressful week, it was a breath of fresh air to know that there are people out there that are truly willing to help. Thank you Ray! read more

Just moved to the area from NC and since I did not know anyone to ask about a locksmith for the new house I just closed on, I decided to rely on reviews on the internet! And I am glad I did! NorCal Locksmith is amazing. Ray is the happiest, most professional, upbeat person I have encountered in a long time! From our first phone call on, I was so impressed with him and his service was superb! He showed up right on time, (even called to see if he could come early!) did everything I asked and more! He was so knowledgeable about all the locks, what it would take to re-key them all to be the same key everywhere, worked on some older stubborn locks to make them work correctly, even changed an interior bathroom doorknob that was on backwards for some reason without even charging me! He worked on a warped door so it would fit better, provided more keys than I paid for, just a lot of little extra things like that. Very, very personable, very efficient, he was just so professional in each and every where. I am very pleased to have found a trustworthy, good connection in my new town and if I ever need a locksmith again, I would absolutely call Ray again. His prices on the finished service was less than I expected or would have paid back in my old hometown in NC as well, so that was a pleasant surprise to receive top notch service at a great value! read more
