I was referred to NCC by Andy at Werkshop, and I am very glad that happened. Alfie is amazing! I emailed the Service department on Thursday, got a reply back within an hour, and scheduled an appointment for Saturday. I recently bought a bike and it came with low tread tires. I'm a new rider so I also asked for a safety inspection. Alfie received my bike with no hassle first thing upon opening. He kept open communication with me via phone, email, and when I didn't pick up, left a detailed voicemail. This made me feel very comfortable and I really appreciate the clear communication he had. He broke down things he noticed about the motorcycle I need to pay attention to and provided inputs prior to making any service decisions. Busy with bikes and provides good communication? Love how they find the time for it! The bike was done in a morning and I got a call to pick up early afternoon. When I arrived, he greeted me in his friendly manner and also described what he inspected on the bike. He also provided a lot of safety recommendations and made sure I understood the upcoming services needed for the bike. The detailed explanations he gave really shows how much he cares about riders and their motorcycles, and I really appreciate this type of service. I can tell he loves his job. That being said, I had a great experience. I never once felt pressured and learned quite a bit about motorcycles being in there for only 10-15min. I rarely leave reviews and when I do, it's because the business asked me to, or there was some deal that saved me some money if I left a review on Yelp. After having my 06 Daytona 675 serviced with Norcal Cycles, I strongly felt that I needed to leave a 5-star review because of how great of a shop they are. No one asked me to do this. I initially reached out to get a ton of service done after buying the bike a few weeks ago to get it riding season ready. I wasn't exactly sure what service was required yet, as I was still trying to figure out the maintenance/modification history. So, I was changing up what exactly I wanted done fairly frequently. Alfie was extremely patient and helped walk me through this process. He was outstanding to work with, even before I met him in person. Once I figured out the service I wanted performed and dropped off my bike, he did an awesome job communicating via phone and email to keep me updated throughout the entire process. When I got my bike back, the work that was done was second to none. Everything was exactly as I wanted and done to perfection. Although I didn't meet the mechanic that worked on my bike, I have to note that Eric Tseng did a great job. It's like he treated my bike as if it was his own. I also have to mention that Alfie and this shop as a whole, is incredibly honest and quick. Once they figured out a problem I asked them to diagnose, Alfie got back to me and updated me on the problem. Instead of keeping the original quote he gave me, Alfie let me know that since they figured out the problem quickly he would be reducing the inspection cost. Additionally, I initially received an estimated 2-3 week turnaround time because of the amount of maintenance I wanted done and the other bikes in queue. They got my bike back to me within 3 DAYS. It's safe to say that I'll be getting all of my future services performed with this shop. I live 40 minutes away, but there is no other shop I'd rather go to and trust with my bike. It's worth the travel. If you're on the fence about getting work done at this shop, just do it--you can't go wrong. read more

Nini and her rental team were great, very attentive and responsive to questions before and after the rentals. I'd rent here again and when in the market to buy my next bike I'll check here as well. Make sure when you turn the bike in though that you really top off the tank. Their attention to detail is on top of it and apparently I was a gallon short. The bike was in perfect shape when I picked it up I road it from sf to Santa Rosa, then Monterey back to Santa Rosa and last back to them. Unlimited miles they didn't even blink when they saw the several hundred miles added in two days. As far as the actual bike I rented the ninja 650. It was fun and very nimble but being an in line 2 cylinder it was lacking the real 650 power and at 200 lbs it labored a bit trying to keep up with the other 600's I was ridding with. I thinks it's probably the best beginner bike out there. Small enough to easily learn on but big enough you won't grow out of it in a couple months like a 300. read more

Want to start off by thanking both Rey + Freddie for an amazing experience at Norcal Cycles! Came in yesterday to take a look at a 2008 Yamaha R6. Rey came out and answered all of my questions that I had for the bike. He went over the history as well as everything they had done to make sure the motorcycle is in great condition to sell. He went over all parts that were changed too. I let him know that I had a Duc 899 at home and was looking at getting a 600. He was very professional and extremely friendly to talk to. I felt like I had known him for years. After breaking down all the information about the bike, he let me know that they also have ride outs from the shop and he would love to have me join them which was awesome! We went over prices and I let him know that I will be back today to pick it up. Today when I went in, Rey greeted me again and I was able to meet Freddie. HUGE shout out of appreciation to Freddie and the rest of the team at Nor-Cal Cycles. They went above and beyond to earn our business, made our transaction as smooth as possible all while ensuring mom and dad were comfortable with our son riding away on his first bike. ANCC had a bike we'd been looking for, for more than 3 months. Even after putting deposits down at other dealers they all failed to come through, but NCC had it IN STOCK. Unfamiliar with NCC I saw they were online on Instagram and sent them a DM. They replied in less than an hour and told me they were closed initially but to call on Tuesday to as for Freddie and that he would take good care of us. I came here several years ago for the dreaded Ducati Desmo service, and they did a great job back then. I since moved to Oakland so it's a bit more difficult to get over there for regular service. I recently dented the front wheel of my Monster real badly and was super pleased to find out that they had a guy that could reshape it. Another shop I talked to recommended a guy in Sacramento, so I was stoked that I could get the work done locally instead. I mainly dealt with Alfie for the service request and he was super responsive via email and kept constant communication throughout the process. I also had to commute to work and found out they offer rentals, so I grabbed myself a Yamaha Bolt for a couple of days so I could try out a cruiser. On the last day of my rental, the bike broke down. I called the shop and within ~1.5hrs they towed a replacement bike to where I was parked in Fremont and I was able to get back on the road without an issue. I dealt mainly with Nini and Freddie regarding rental stuff, and they were also great to work with throughout the rental process and my breakdown ordeal. Super pleased with the customer service at this place. Freddie provided a simple, straightforward buying experience for myself. I am ever appreciative of him (and the other guys whose names I didnt catch) for showing me how to properly tie down and secure my bike on a motorcycle carrier. Thats something I can carry with me for life if I have the bike or not and getting that experience from this speaks volumes on his character.
