Waaah. I will miss Nora's alterations but wish Nora a happy retirement. I had her shorten some pants and alter a sport coat which she did as promised. Nice lady and very competent and professional- hope someone takes over this needed service in North Country. Nora will be missed. read more

Nora was great prior to my wedding in January. I went in to have some alterations done on a dress that I had purchased months before. After putting the dress on I was devastated that it did not look as I had remembered. I scrambled and purchased a few more options, much to her horror I think, and came back with some choices. Nora was helpful and honest and carefully guided my selection for the perfect dress! I am so happy that I chose to go there. She has a great little selection of accessories as well. Her work is flawless and fast. I would recommend her to anyone. read more

Nora is the best of the best! I've been coming to her for years for all my bridesmaids dresses. Now, I had her alter my wedding dress. It was amazing... she gave me a shape! I'm not a teeny tiny bride but my dress now makes me look so thin and hugs me in all the right places, while still being comfortable! I highly recommend Nora for any and all alterations! !! read more

Nora recently altered my bridal gown and all my bridesmaid dresses. I live in Everett, MA and had met with a few seamstresses in the Boston area but everyone was way over priced and difficult to work with. A friend of mine recommended Nora and even though she's an hour drive from me - WELL WORTH IT! She did a fantastic job altering my David's Bridal dress and my 3 bridesmaids' dresses. The alterations I wanted for my bridal dress required a slight change in style of the gown and Nora nailed it. She was very easy and fun to work with! She was also very accommodating with timing and scheduling. She knew I was driving from an hour away and would often keep her shop open late to wait for me because I was stuck in city rush hour traffic. She provided me with a beautiful garment bag and when I picked my dress up the day before my wedding - it was so beautifully packaged. This made for very easy travel back to the city and then another hour west to my destination wedding. Very impressed with Nora and highly recommend her! read more

Nora altered my daughters prom dress and did an amazing job! The dress needed hemming as well as some work on the top. Instead of recommending the most expensive route she recommended taking in the shoulders (which was less expensive). Came out perfect! She is reasonably priced, pleasant and on time. Will definitely be using her again for future dress alterations! read more

Nora is the absolute best. Found her on a whim and am so glad I did. My wedding dress was too large and what I thought was a simple gown was actually an incredibly challenging effort to fit... Nora spent countless hours and multiple fittings (over less than 2 months) to get it just right and went above and beyond doing things for the dress that made it better (reinforcing buttons, lace, etc) that I didn't even ask for (and probably didn't even pay for). She is an expert at her craft and the time and effort and attention she gave to my dress shows she is passionate about what she does. It was clear she wanted the dress to look great for me, she wasn't just doing through the motions. I don't even live in NH but will continue to travel to her for future bridesmaid gowns, dresses, and other clothing that needs help. She is so reasonably priced too for the amount of time and effort and consideration she puts into your items. You'd be silly to go somewhere else! read more

I recently had my wedding dress fitted by Nora. She was fantastic to work with and honestly cared about how I felt in the dress. We did have to go with something off the rack that could be altered due to our timeline, but my Mom look adorable and her outfit was perfect. This is a very poorly run business. That said, Covid-19 and its aftermath probably has a role in…read morethe following events. In May, I dropped off two carpets to be cleaned and it took them more than eight weeks to get the job done. They originally told me two weeks. At several points over the two month period, I stopped in and politely asked them about the status of the job, but they could not provide any. That is, they literally did not know when they would get the rugs cleaned. (I tried calling during their regular store hours but nobody ever picked up the phone, so I got the hint that an in-person visit was needed to connect with them.) Finally, after two months, I went in to the Plymouth office and told them I wanted the rugs back within a week, whether or not they had been cleaned. I made it clear I would take additional steps if they were not returned within a week. I was a polite as possible. Later that day, they called me and told me the rugs were ready for pickup, and that they had been cleaned. So, three days later I went into the store to pick them up during regular office hours (8 - 12 on Saturday morning). The door was open, the window was open, but there was no one there. I tried calling the number but no one answered. I waited 20 minutes. Finally, someone showed up and gave me my rugs. They were cleaned, as promised. The jobs was pretty expensive (more than $300), but at least it's finally done. That's the last time I take them anything like this.
