I thought this shop was very nice and has a clear aesthetic. There was such a wide variety of things, from spiritual books to crystals to candles that I feel everyone can find something for them. Many other reviews mentioned bad service but I had no issue with the service and found the owner to be very kind. Horrible experience at this store. First, as I walk through the door, the owner yelled at me to close the door because the air conditioning was on and she must have made a remark or rolled her eyes about me to the customers checking out as they laughed at her reaction. There was a sign on the door implying that most people must forget to shut it fully but I was just trying to get completely through the doorway before closing the door, lol, but ok I'll let that slide I was visiting with my teenage nieces who love crystals and all earthy things. They were so excited to spend their money here. The woman was rude and seemed bothered by us our entire visit. We checked out and none of us felt good about the experience. My nieces decided to go back to the store later in the evening and buy something else they couldn't stop thinking about all day and wished they had bought during their earlier visit. We dropped them off and waited out front for them and when they came out they were visibly upset. They reported that there were now 2 employees (the owner and another girl) and were treated terribly. They reported they were followed the entire time, spoken to rudely and rushed out of the store. They said they've never felt more uncomfortable and wished they hadn't spent their savings here. Its sad because these kids thought this lady was so cool with her awesome store filled with crystals and other interesting items and then she turns around and treats her paying customers like garbage. I called to speak with the owner about the way she treated my nieces and she basically said too bad, shes juggling a lot and oh well! I was so interested by this bizarre experience that I looked up other reviews and saw that so many people had similar bad experiences. Such bad energy in a store that seems to be deeply focused on energy. We won't be back. The store does not accept returns or we would've brought everything back for a refund after its been plaqued with this womans negative energy. Do yourself a favor and stay away! read more

If you want to be treated rudely and as a theif as soon as you walk in, this the place for you! I am understanding that some people, unfortunately steal, so okay not to tough to deal with since I will be paying and I get that... But neither the employee or shop owner where at all friendly... They follow you and stare.. don't offer help or friendly conversation, just glares... Its weird.. do you want me to leave and not spend $90 on an amethyst crystal windchime...!? We unfortunately had three different interactions with the shop owner, and each time I thought she was just a disgruntled employee , until their aunt called to ask why my daughter and her friend where treated so unkindly, they went earlier in the day with their aunt and everyone commented on the 'employee checking them out' at the end and how they felt as if they where an inconvenience to her for shopping! They ended up going back hours later to buy a manifestation tapestry or something like that, they are 14 & 15, they where excited to go again to get the item they wanted but weren't sure about first time around.. they came out so upset and felt uncomfortable and angry at how they where treated they spent their own hard earned babysitting money in her shop. Their aunt called and talked to the shop owner who was not sympathetic and couldnt have cared at all at how my girls felt..She actually blamed Covid..... Their aunt mentioned she is an RN who works with Covid patients and wouldn't treat her patients this way.. not an accuse! She didnt take any accountability just blamed the kids ‍ Kindness goes a long way. We had some great times in North Conway some amazing shops and shop owners on that little block, please just go anywhere else, do yourself the favor because this lady is misery pretending to be peace kindness and love. read more

The owner is so gracious and kind..she had made my whole day got a beautiful blouse and my daughter purchased a beautiful journal and precious stones there for herself and her children. I'm very lucky that I stumbled upon World Magic two years ago while in North Conway. It's chock full of weird and wonderful artifacts and decorations of the highest quality. I got a beautiful carved wooden dragon with three heads, highly detailed and finely painted. Excellent customer service and a million other things I wished I could also buy in the store. The best part is, two years later (now living in Rhode Island) my friends and I were reminiscing about the shop. We called them up to see if they could mail us an item out-of-state, and they said yes! I gave them my info over the phone and a week later I had another World Magic item, a beautiful bracelet made of lotus seeds with a lotus flower insignia carved into a real silver pendant, made by an indigenous tribe in Thailand. If I'm ever in NH again I will definitely stop by. read more

Used to like this place, now 2 bad experiences in a row and will not go back. In March my husband and I went in and the owner was working, she was quite unfriendly and a bit stand-offish, but we still bought a few things. While there I fell in love with a large wall panel but didn't want to spend the money, but haven't been able to stop thinking about it. We were just up there last week and I was probably going to break down and buy it but instead got a very rude employee and left. My husband had an empty, clear, plastic cup in his hand when we walked in, woman said no drinks in the store, he says oh it's just an empty cup and shows her since it's CLEAR. She asks if she can throw it away for him, but does not at all sound like she's being polite, she already had an attitude like how dare he defy me...when he says no thank you she pauses and then says well you still can't be in here with it. When he asks why he can't walk in the store with a clearly empty cup (but literally just says, why?) she has this big pause while she thinks, then stutters and says we don't want drips! She said all of these things with an attitude. I understand that there's no food or beverage in the store, we had left a drink at the counter at a couple stores earlier, but no plastic cups? Really!? He had grabbed the empty cup, that even had a lid to keep in the emptiness, next door because he chews tobacco (gross I know) and needed something to spit in when we were outside...but there was nothing in the cup and absolutely no reason this woman had to be so rude. You could tell she couldn't even think of a good reason why he couldn't carry a plastic cup...but had to stutter out an attitude anyway! I don't know why she felt the need to be so rude over an empty plastic cup. Certainly not going to buy a big Buddha picture from a place with such horrible energy. It's a shame because I can't find the same one anywhere and really love it... read more
