I drive @45 minutes to get there and had actually selected a jacket for myself. I tried on the jacket and noticed that there was a $32 discrepancy between the coat on line versus in the store. I waited in the long line (holiday sale prompted throngs) and told (& showed her the jacket I had saved in my phone) the owner what happened. She asked me to wait to check. I waited a good 15 plus minutes during which time her assistant took down the coat from the web site and made it reflect the higher price. Then she brightly asked if I wanted to try it on again and I said no, I need to leave and then she said she wouldn't honor the price that was listed on line stating it was a human error and she was running a small business. I think it is bad form to not honor the price that was listed. She has known than I've brought friends who have spent significant money in her store and I come to her from great distance for years...this was their mistake and I think it's extremely poor form to not honor what was listed. This is customer service at its worse. So much for loyalty. I could easily have bought the jacket on line and picked it up at the store but I thought that would not have integrity. Come to think of it, her actions didn't have integrity. You would think she would cultivate keeping her loyal customer base. What a disappointment.

The store was completely picked over--bare shelves, no stuffed animals, but a plethora of overpriced leotards and dance-like costumes. I guess somewhat understandable, but still disappointing. My daughter left extremely saddened. The second time we came (and also *paid* for parking), we walked to the entrance to find it--CLOSED (6/9/26)! I had to whip out my phone because why would a store be closed on a Tuesday at a day and time of normal operating hours? Another family with a little girl asked if we came to see the store and I said yes. She said they posted on their Instagram they were closed and were also saddened they couldn't go inside. I get that things happen but we live 1.5 hours away and made a dr specialist appt nearby and made sure to stop here specifically since we were finally close. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is. I don't go on social media to make sure a business is open that day. I *did* check their website and they were supposed to be open. From what we saw the first time around (picked over items) and what we could see through the glass the second time, we won't ever be coming back for a third time. The store is small, not a huge selection, but a higher price point for the same items found elsewhere. I told my daughter if she saw anything through the glass then I would just google it and buy it online for her. I would much rather support small businesses but it makes it hard when they don't really seem to value their customers. As I said, this store is quite small and doesn't have anything we wanted that we couldn't buy elsewhere. I wish they were better stocked the first time and had more employees to actually run the business during their supposed operating hours, but this just left my daughter devastated and me frustrated and angry the second time. We won't be back to be fooled again. Shame on us.

They take the time to help me find the right sizes and always offer thoughtful suggestions on what to buy. Today's visit to the Sherman Oaks location was especially memorable. From the moment I walked in, both team members Hermine and Elen greeted me with warm smiles and immediately offered their assistance. While I was shopping, they surprised me by making Armenian coffee and setting up a small dessert table with fruits and cookies after noticing I had been shopping for a while and carrying heavy bags. Their kindness and attentiveness truly touched my heart. I am incredibly thankful to Hermine and Elen for their outstanding customer service and genuine care for their customers. I would like to wish the entire team a Merry Christmas and thank you for always being the best.

There's plenty of cute stickers and books for children and plenty of collectibles, gachapon and other goodies for adult Nipponophiles. The store also features a variety of artists whose rainbow Lisa Frank style seems to effortlessly blend in to its surroundings. I know, I know...I sound like I don't like this place. That's not true. While it's not my aesthetic, it's clearly very well curated with lots of fun things to browse through. And the staff was very nice Definitely a place to bring children and adult fans of anime and manga.
