I waited in the long line (holiday sale prompted throngs) and told (& showed her the jacket I had saved in my phone) the owner what happened. She asked me to wait to check. I waited a good 15 plus minutes during which time her assistant took down the coat from the web site and made it reflect the higher price. Then she brightly asked if I wanted to try it on again and I said no, I need to leave and then she said she wouldn't honor the price that was listed on line stating it was a human error and she was running a small business. I think it is bad form to not honor the price that was listed. She has known than I've brought friends who have spent significant money in her store and I come to her from great distance for years...this was their mistake and I think it's extremely poor form to not honor what was listed. This is customer service at its worse. So much for loyalty. I could easily have bought the jacket on line and picked it up at the store but I thought that would not have integrity. Come to think of it, her actions didn't have integrity. You would think she would cultivate keeping her loyal customer base. What a disappointment.

But this past Sunday, my husband, our little girl dog and I finally got a chance to visit since we were visiting Old Town Pasadena during the afternoon. When we walked in, we were greeted by an employee behind the register at the back of the store. This store is very cute and really would be a little girl's dream because of all the unicorns, pink, glitter and sparkle. I ended up purchasing a mermaid coloring book for my nieces to add to their Christmas gifts that I have for them, but not sure if they are even into mermaids (and my husband doesn't seem to know either if they are or if they are into unicorns. These little girls change their interests so often it is hard to keep up). But I'd love to take them to this store and see if they would want anything (and knowing me, I would most likely let them each pick out one item and I would purchase it for them). I don't go on social media to make sure a business is open that day. I *did* check their website and they were supposed to be open. From what we saw the first time around (picked over items) and what we could see through the glass the second time, we won't ever be coming back for a third time. The store is small, not a huge selection, but a higher price point for the same items found elsewhere. I told my daughter if she saw anything through the glass then I would just google it and buy it online for her. I would much rather support small businesses but it makes it hard when they don't really seem to value their customers. As I said, this store is quite small and doesn't have anything we wanted that we couldn't buy elsewhere. So that's my mistake, cause you can say no after you waited an hour in the store. But they went in for the name brand stuff and didn't touch the Carters or Disney. They took NIKE, BabyGap, Kyte, Adidas, Vans and Halo. That's fine but what they offered me wasn't worth it since everything I offered still had tags on it & in season. Parking for the store is a pain, following their process on how to lay out the items takes time and work. So yeah. If you don't care about the money and have time to kill go for it but chances are they might not take it, but what they do take you'll realize you could've sold it just $5-$10 cheaper on FB.
