***RAT INFESTATION*** This story is like a B grade horror movie, except it happened to me in Noosh. I took my gf there and had a $40 Sea Bass which was burned, with the charred flavor permeating the whole fish. My gf's dish was also bad with a chemical (chlorine) flavor. The owner politely offered for us to return for a complimentary meal in an effort to repay our bad experience. On our return visit, we were enjoying appetizers when a giant rat began to run around in the center of the dining area. The hideous, filthy, large rodent then ran under our table toward my gf, then back to the center of the dining area, then under our table again, before the waiters opened the front door and herded the huge rat out of the restaurant. The owner then brought us a bill and did not even mention the rat. When I asked him if he knew, he said it was no big deal. I politely told him that we did not enjoy our experience. He acted as if he did us a favor by comping the meal. I tipped our waiter $20 since he herded the rat away from us. The waiter said, "I didn't know I signed up for this!" They say comedy is tragedy separated by time. Eventually we will laugh at this story. But until that day, we will avoid this restaurant and its memories. read more

Just tried this on a whim and based on good reviews. Best decision ever! When we called they said the entire restaurant was booked out, but luckily we were right outside, and went in anyways and were seated in 5 minutes. The hummus was great, but the lamb shank was amazing!!! It slid right off the bone and was flavored with the most amazing spices. It was the best Persian food or lamb I had ever had. We visited Noosh just a week after dining at Rumi, and we preferred this experience much more. While the restaurant isn't as trendy, the food was significantly better in our opinion. We tried all three of the yogurt mixtures to begin our meal - the shredded cucumber option was our favorite. I had the chicken kabob with the wedding rice, and my husband had the barg kabob, also with wedding rice. Our food was delicious! Extremely tender and the rice was interesting and rather addictive. Went there for Lunch on a Sunday. The place is very well decorated with some good music playing in the background. As we entered we were immediately seated. The welcome was warm and genuine. Our server was very attentive and courteous. We ordered Pita Bread and Vegetable Torshi to start with which was excellent. The Pita bread was thin and fresh. For the main course we ordered, Chicken Kabab, Lamb Shanks and a Combo Platter. All three Entree came with a fresh Salad with a light yogurt based dressing. Chicken Kabab was very soft and succulent, Lamb Shank came with a light gravy and the meat was just falling off the bone. The Combo Platter came with a skewer of Chicken Kabab and a Skewer of Beef Kabab. The food was flavorful, fresh and portion was generous. The best part of the experience was the service which was warm, welcoming and extremely pleasant. This will be a regular haunt! read more

The best baklavah in atl, perfectly crisp and luscious. Also the salad is great with those middle eastern pickles on it. Also do not neglect the daily stew or khoresh, which are a staple of Persian cooking. I respect the fact that they only prepare one a day so that it is fresh. Mine was a lemony beef stew in a green sauce. The medley of herbs, mint, parsley basil and unbelievably tarragon, that is served with the feta appetizer, took me by surprise. A touch that shows real gastronomic dedication. The thick, Naan- like turkish bread is delish, the thin square bread served with hummus not so much. Be sure to ask for the former. read more

I asked the chef to choose for me four of his best vegetarian appetizers to sample and he did an amazing job choosing - I highly recommend the two eggplant appetizers, the hummus, and the yogurt and spinach dip. The ambience leaves much to be desired and the service even more. At one point there were 5 servers standing around the opposite side of the restaurant and I had to wave them down to clear our plates and replenish our drinks because our server had not visited our table for so long. They only serve beer and wine and no alcohol. The food was adequate. There was a table of a dozen or more women celebrating a birthday that took over the entire restaurant. They did not respect our space or dining experience. They put on their belly dancing skirts and danced around the whole restaurant and literally took selfies all night. The only pleasant part of the evening was the entertainer who had a beautiful voice and sang an eloquent version of "I Did it My Way". I will not turn my back on Rumi's ever again! read more

This was the first sit down restaurant i've been to since the pandemic started, and it was an amazing experience! The service was amazing and super fast! We had a waiter named Boyd, and he was very kind, and he remembered each order without writing it down! He would bring out drink refills without being asked too! Also, the food was absolutely delicious!!!! The portions are huge, and I was happy about it since I could enjoy my leftovers at home!! My whole family loved it!! After several years decided to give this restaurant a second chance. The first visit I found the food mediocre and decided not to go back. But, I heard that the quality of food has improved. I had an important meeting and decided to meet halfway, which was Johns creek, and chose this restaurant for lunch. It was the first exposer of my American friend to Persian cuisine. Unfortunately, they failed me again. The service was average and the food had not improved a bit and was not warm when we were served. Very disappointed with the quality of food and service. We ordered the classic sabzi for an appetizer and shared it. It was generously portioned for two. The flavor was excellent. The bread was fresh and very good as were the olives. Plenty of fresh herbs. My wife got the kibideh and orange rice which came with a side salad. It was all very good. I got the lamb kebab with lentil rice. I also got the side salad with a tasty dressing . I was stunned at the amount of food. The rice came with plenty of red onion which you could optionally mix in and I did . Very, very good. The lamb kebab came with an enormous amount of roasted vegetables including onions, zucchini, squash and tomatoes . They came with the same garnish of mint leaves , sage and parsley used in the appetizer. You could mix them in with the meat and vegetables to add flavor and I did which added nicely to the flavor. The meat was excellent quality , well spiced and perfectly cooked, just pink in the middle. For dessert we shared a Persian rollet . All their desserts were home made and this was one was light and tasty. The waitress was warm, attentive and very helpful. Great service . There was also a guitarist there playing. I listen to a lot of guitar , my room mate in college also played classical guitar and this guitarist was exceptional . The entertainment with his original arrangements of familiar melodies, really added to the evening . Atlanta is fortunate to have rumi, 1001 nights and now Noosh, all 3 excellent Persian. But Noosh clearly stands out with their attention to the flavor details with the warm service and great entertainment . We will be back. read more
