This is an extremely tough review to write. The agent i was working with was really nice and engaged. Great personality! Person really went above and beyond in terms of being a tour guide, but that's where the spectacular service ended. We were working together on a few places and this isn't my first time at the rodeo. I have specific questions i always ask as a renter, questions everyone should be asking to avoid getting swindled. The silence is when i realized things were not going well. I asked several questions (i.e. rent stabilized, management company, bed bug lease rider form, lease renewals, rent increases, are the appliances electric powered, etc.). All standard questions. I never got an answer to any of these. First, it was one question that got ignored, and then all my questions got ignored. The person wanted to strictly be a tour guide. These are the most basic GED questions ever. I know tons of people with real estate licenses that do this as a side hustle, but if you want 50% commission, you're gonna have to step it up. We are in a pandemic. I am sure the agent hasn't seen a paycheck since 2019 unless i am wrong and the person is clocking in 25K every month and that is why my questions were left unanswered. Out of common courtesy, i didn't express any of this to the agent. One can never be sure if someone will get irate or belligerent. Despite all this, i still wanted to work with the agent to see what i could find. I needed to move. Regrettably, the agent is MIA now. As soon as a deal was closed, I became invisible. I'm glad the agent is making 25K every month, but I'll never use their services again. Have fun during tax season with your 25K Plus monthly salary. read more

With Dominick Grillo's help, my roommates and I found our dream apartment through Nooklyn. Of the apartments he showed us, every single one was suitable and appealing to our needs. We ended up choosing a beautiful place in Historic Crown Heights. Given that work schedules were tight, and we had to move Thanksgiving weekend during a pandemic, with COVID-19 case numbers expected to soar, Dom wasted no time with the application process and helped us get keys in hand before the holiday. I had such a great experience using Nooklyn to find an apartment. I just moved to NYC and had heard horror stories about how difficult it is to find a good place. Fortunately, one of my friends happened to recommend Nooklyn. Their website/app made the process of locating potential options incredibly easy. The prices, photos, and details are clear and upfront, making it super simple to find places within your budget at the right location. While the app and website are both great, my favorite part of the experience was actually interacting with their agent, Claire S. She was incredibly helpful, fun to be around, and didn't play any games. When I asked a question, she gave me honest and straitforward answers. We ended up looking at potential apartments on a rainy Saturday evening and had an absolute blast. I had never worked with a real estate agent before Rachel at Nooklyn, but my partner and I were moving back to the city after living abroad and needed to find a place quickly--we were sleeping on friends' couches in the meantime and didn't have a lot of options. Me and my roommate contacted Nooklyn last Thursday about an apartment, and Taylor promptly responded arranging a viewing for Saturday! On Saturday I met with Josh at the Nooklyn office and in a matter of hours he helped me find a dream apartment! He really listened to me when I was describing what I was looking for and was really patient with all of my (many) questions. I found Venetia through Nooklyn. My roommates and I had been given 2 weeks notice to move from across the country to start our next year of schooling and none of us had been to Brooklyn before. To say I was stressed and clueless is an understatement. Venetia immediately took into consideration that our situation was unique and extremely urgent and was incredible. She drove around and took videos of apartments that fit our needs and were in areas she knew were safe so that we could "tour" the apartments without having to all make trips up to NYC. He is diligent, responsive, agile, patient, and great about answering questions and providing feedback. Keith has been a consummate professional throughout the entire process. I've been disappearing for weeks at a time in the middle of my apartment hunt in order to attend out-of-town business trips. I would tell Keith, "I'll be back in ten days - let's pick things up then", and he would always send me a text the same day I was back in town. I had such a wonderful experience working with Adele as my agent! My boyfriend and I were relocating to Brooklyn from North Carolina with a short window of time to find an apartment, and were completely overwhelmed by the process. He was patient in listening to what I was looking for, and was great about walking me through the neighborhood and pointing out everything from the best place to get a bagel to the perfect spot for after work drinks. I was moving to Brooklyn from Manhattan with a bit of skepticism, and he truly sold me on the area. Amazing, Coming from Canada to NY, the rental scene was very overwhelming. Thankfully Kayla was there to tell us everything we needed to know and really help meet our needs. During a quick weekend visit she helped my partner and I look at a handful of studio and 1 bedroom apartments. They were very closed off to me and made me feel pretty uneasy about getting an apartment on my own. Of the 1000 agents we encountered while botching our housing search, Keith Dunn was the only one who inspired any loyalty. He was punctual and patient and flexible and responsive and well-informed and all the things an agent should be. We were all over the place, but Keith asked questions that helped us to flesh out our priorities. He listened and was thoughtful in IDing and sharing listings that checked as many of our boxes as possible. During my Brooklyn apartment search, I met one of the coolest brokers ever, Ryan McLaughlin. He showed me and my family a beautiful luxury apartment at 876 Bergen Street. Many of the brokers I encountered were pushy and made me feel like I had no choices and had to move in haste to less ideal neighborhoods while Ryan was genuine. After realizing that luxury living was not within my budget and space requirements, he followed up with me to offer to show me other units that also fit my wish list. While I ended up securing an apartment showed by another broker, I wanted to recommend Ryan as I plan to contact him in the future when I begin the buying process. read more

We were really picky about what we wanted and our budget wasn't super flexible but she was able to find us a wide variety of places that were awesome and very diverse. Additionally she was super flexible about showing times (we both work full time) and was really detail oriented, organized and helpful in the negotiations with the landlord.
