This is an extremely tough review to write. The agent i was working with was really nice and engaged. Great personality! Person really went above and beyond in terms of being a tour guide, but that's where the spectacular service ended. We were working together on a few places and this isn't my first time at the rodeo. I have specific questions i always ask as a renter, questions everyone should be asking to avoid getting swindled. The silence is when i realized things were not going well. I asked several questions (i.e. rent stabilized, management company, bed bug lease rider form, lease renewals, rent increases, are the appliances electric powered, etc.). All standard questions. I never got an answer to any of these. First, it was one question that got ignored, and then all my questions got ignored. The person wanted to strictly be a tour guide. These are the most basic GED questions ever. I know tons of people with real estate licenses that do this as a side hustle, but if you want 50% commission, you're gonna have to step it up. We are in a pandemic. I am sure the agent hasn't seen a paycheck since 2019 unless i am wrong and the person is clocking in 25K every month and that is why my questions were left unanswered. Out of common courtesy, i didn't express any of this to the agent. One can never be sure if someone will get irate or belligerent. Despite all this, i still wanted to work with the agent to see what i could find. I needed to move. Regrettably, the agent is MIA now. As soon as a deal was closed, I became invisible. I'm glad the agent is making 25K every month, but I'll never use their services again. Have fun during tax season with your 25K Plus monthly salary. read more

With Dominick Grillo's help, my roommates and I found our dream apartment through Nooklyn. Of the apartments he showed us, every single one was suitable and appealing to our needs. We ended up choosing a beautiful place in Historic Crown Heights. Given that work schedules were tight, and we had to move Thanksgiving weekend during a pandemic, with COVID-19 case numbers expected to soar, Dom wasted no time with the application process and helped us get keys in hand before the holiday. We are so grateful that our realtor understood these concerns and helped us eliminate them. Renting in NYC can be chaotic, there are many novice landlords and hobbyist realtors out there, as we saw elsewhere on our apartment hunt, but Dom from Nooklyn was exceptionally straightforward and dependable. Communication was airtight, which is key whilst executing a move. My roommates and I have been living in the new place almost a month now, and consistently find ourselves in awe at how quickly we secured a beautiful new home. FOUR DAYS from viewing to keys in hand. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Dom, for helping our unconventional little family of five adults, one baby, and two dogs come home for the holidays. Happy holidays to you as well, and thank you for the best end to the hell year that was 2020 read more

I had such a great experience using Nooklyn to find an apartment. I just moved to NYC and had heard horror stories about how difficult it is to find a good place. Fortunately, one of my friends happened to recommend Nooklyn. Their website/app made the process of locating potential options incredibly easy. The prices, photos, and details are clear and upfront, making it super simple to find places within your budget at the right location. While the app and website are both great, my favorite part of the experience was actually interacting with their agent, Claire S. She was incredibly helpful, fun to be around, and didn't play any games. When I asked a question, she gave me honest and straitforward answers. We ended up looking at potential apartments on a rainy Saturday evening and had an absolute blast. After we found a great apartment she made the process of finalizing the paperwork as painless as possible. I was kept up-to-date on the status of the process and if I had any questions I always got a response quickly. TLDR; Nooklyn is straightforward and upfront - there are no gimmicks or tricks, just super friendly people that want to help you find a great place. read more

I had never worked with a real estate agent before Rachel at Nooklyn, but my partner and I were moving back to the city after living abroad and needed to find a place quickly--we were sleeping on friends' couches in the meantime and didn't have a lot of options. Rachel made the whole process so much simpler and so much faster--she listened to what we said about our lifestyle and needs and then found us a range of options that really fit our budget and preferences. She introduced us to a new neighborhood that we hadn't considered before and we found a fantastic place - better than we had even hoped for - on the very first day. I can't really say enough good things about our experience with Rachel - I never expected that working with a real estate agent would make that much of a difference but it really did. As soon as we started talking with her and seeing possible apartments, I felt so much less anxious and so much more positive about the process. It made moving back to the city a painless and even exciting experience, instead of just being stressful. read more

Me and my roommate contacted Nooklyn last Thursday about an apartment, and Taylor promptly responded arranging a viewing for Saturday! On Saturday I met with Josh at the Nooklyn office and in a matter of hours he helped me find a dream apartment! He really listened to me when I was describing what I was looking for and was really patient with all of my (many) questions. This was one of the first times I had gone apartment hunting on my own and Nooklyn and Josh made it an easy and fun experience. Josh was patient and helpful, guiding me through the process of making an offer and putting down the deposit and made himself readily available if I needed assistance. They really made me feel that finding my perfect place was a priority. I met with Taylor last night to sign the lease, and he was also incredibly helpful and patient. Thank you Nooklyn (especially Josh and Taylor) for finding me a great home! I would recommend Nooklyn to anyone looking for an apartment! read more

I found Venetia through Nooklyn. My roommates and I had been given 2 weeks notice to move from across the country to start our next year of schooling and none of us had been to Brooklyn before. To say I was stressed and clueless is an understatement. Venetia immediately took into consideration that our situation was unique and extremely urgent and was incredible. She drove around and took videos of apartments that fit our needs and were in areas she knew were safe so that we could "tour" the apartments without having to all make trips up to NYC. She was incredibly responsive and willing to do whatever necessary to ensure we were not homeless in 2 weeks. Everything worked out perfectly and we love our new apartment in Bushwick! Venetia went far above and beyond to ensure we were set and happy and the process went as smoothly as it possibly could. I would absolutely recommend reaching out to her if you are attempting to find housing in Brooklyn. She is great!! read more

Keith Dunn was so helpful in our apartment search! He was professional, punctual and courteous. He only showed me apartments that met my requirements and helped to keep me within my budget. He was also very responsive to my emails and texts without delay. He sent me a list of apartments all within my must haves and followed up to make sure I was happy with the list. We went back and forth over text for a few days and he was always quick to respond with helpful information. I knew when we walked in to a particular spot that this apartment would be mine, and I think Keith could tell too...but he never rushed me and we still saw all the apartments we had agreed upon previously. Working with Keith was very fortuitous. We were lucky to have his help. I will definitely keep his number for if and when we need to move again. Thanks, Keith! read more

Keith Dunn worked his butt off to help me find a fantastic apartment. This is my first place in Brooklyn, and I couldn't be happier with the result. (Thanks, Keith!) He is diligent, responsive, agile, patient, and great about answering questions and providing feedback. Keith has been a consummate professional throughout the entire process. I've been disappearing for weeks at a time in the middle of my apartment hunt in order to attend out-of-town business trips. I would tell Keith, "I'll be back in ten days - let's pick things up then", and he would always send me a text the same day I was back in town. This is the sort of attention to detail that Keith brings to the table. I would definitely recommend Keith and Nooklyn to friends. read more

I had such a wonderful experience working with Adele as my agent! My boyfriend and I were relocating to Brooklyn from North Carolina with a short window of time to find an apartment, and were completely overwhelmed by the process. Adele was super helpful, responsive, and a delight to work with. She answered all of our questions very promptly (and we had tons of them) and made sure we knew exactly what documents and information to be prepared with well ahead of time. With her help, we found our dream spot on a weekend trip into the city. Moving to New York is incredibly stressful but Adele made the process so much easier! I highly recommend working with her - she is personable, fun and efficient and you will not be disappointed! read more

I worked with Jonathan Basla. He was referred to me by a friend who also found her apartment with him. He responded to me within minutes and was showing me apartments the next day. He was patient in listening to what I was looking for, and was great about walking me through the neighborhood and pointing out everything from the best place to get a bagel to the perfect spot for after work drinks. I was moving to Brooklyn from Manhattan with a bit of skepticism, and he truly sold me on the area. The second apartment he showed me was the one, and he continued checking in with me all the way through moving process, following up on every detail, including just making sure I remembered to set up my utilities. I highly recommend him. read more

Amazing, Coming from Canada to NY, the rental scene was very overwhelming. Thankfully Kayla was there to tell us everything we needed to know and really help meet our needs. During a quick weekend visit she helped my partner and I look at a handful of studio and 1 bedroom apartments. All the units shown were in our price range, pet friendly and had updated amenities; everything we had asked for in our initial email. I really don't think we could have had anyone better help us search for our first NY apartment. We really appreciate all the help she gave us, and her patience with my countless emails. Whenever we decide to move, we will definitely be using Nooklyn again. Thanks again Kayla. :) read more

I'd been looking for apartments for a few weeks and was getting pretty fed up with the real estate companies I'd been working with. They were very closed off to me and made me feel pretty uneasy about getting an apartment on my own. I luckily found Nooklyn through a Streeteasy rental and met with Jordan literally the day I reached out to him. He was so down to earth, friendly and so willing to help out with any of my questions or concerns. He was there with me for the lease signing, introduced me to my landlord and even came back to my apartment with me on a later date when I was having issues with my keys. He went above and beyond and I would recommend Jordan to anyone! read more

Nooklyn's website was frustrating as hell, but we stuck w/ them because we loved our agent. Of the 1000 agents we encountered while botching our housing search, Keith Dunn was the only one who inspired any loyalty. He was punctual and patient and flexible and responsive and well-informed and all the things an agent should be. We were all over the place, but Keith asked questions that helped us to flesh out our priorities. He listened and was thoughtful in IDing and sharing listings that checked as many of our boxes as possible. When we burned out, he gave us a pep talk that ultimately led us to pull the trigger on a great apartment. Very grateful for all his help. read more

During my Brooklyn apartment search, I met one of the coolest brokers ever, Ryan McLaughlin. He showed me and my family a beautiful luxury apartment at 876 Bergen Street. Many of the brokers I encountered were pushy and made me feel like I had no choices and had to move in haste to less ideal neighborhoods while Ryan was genuine. After realizing that luxury living was not within my budget and space requirements, he followed up with me to offer to show me other units that also fit my wish list. While I ended up securing an apartment showed by another broker, I wanted to recommend Ryan as I plan to contact him in the future when I begin the buying process. read more

My husband and I just moved from London to NYC and worked directly with Jackie Friscia and Ryan McLaughlin to find an apartment during the thick of winter. They were both super communicative, supportive, and willing to do anything to get us an apartment that was within our means. (IE: Ryan ventured out and arranged viewings for us during the "bomb-cyclone" and Jackie swooped in to help take on our unique application and made sure we got an apartment that checked all our boxes). I'd highly recommend working with either Jackie or Ryan, they both know the ins and outs of Brooklyn and will put you at ease throughout the entire process. read more

Mike Pond from the Crown Heights Location was excellent! He listened to what my bf and I wanted and found us listings that not only met our expectations, but exceeded them...Mike was super patient and kind and we ended up developing a nice relationship with him. The process was quick, easy and dare I say it, fun! I did not enjoy the apartment hunt until I met Mike and he proved to be the perfect person to assist us in our search. If you are looking for an agent that will listen to you, make you feel like he cares and really wants to help you find an amazing rental then Mike Pond is your guy! Thanks for everything Mike :) read more

Jordan Rindahl and Steve were life savers. My boyfriend and I were totally new to the NYC rental game. After bouncing from one showing to another with different brokers, Jordan took the wheel. He seemed to really care about us--making sure that we found the right place, and felt at home in our new city. He showed us an awesome array of listings, and was very knowledgable and honest about what was what. Once we found a great spot- both he and Steve went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly all the way through our move in day. HUGE thank you to these guys. read more

I recently relocated from Los Angeles to NY. My agent Rachel made the very difficult process feel seamless. She was very efficient, communicative and attentive to all of my needs. She definitely went above and beyond to help me out. Rachel and others at the Franklin Avenue location were very sweet and personable yet still extremely professional which to me is an added bonus. I was able to find a beautiful apartment and move in less than two weeks. Rachel was even able to get alittle knocked off the price for me. I highly recommend her. read more

Our real estate agent Adele was amazing. We were really picky about what we wanted and our budget wasn't super flexible but she was able to find us a wide variety of places that were awesome and very diverse. Additionally she was super flexible about showing times (we both work full time) and was really detail oriented, organized and helpful in the negotiations with the landlord. I cant imagine having a better experience with a fun and outgoing agent!!! If i could give her more than 5 stars I would!! read more
