Hole in the wall bars seem to be popping up everywhere but most ooze pretentiousness but Nook Nosh has a clear mandate to not be pretentious or snobby.
We popped in on a Sunday night for a quiet drink, it ended up being a really quiet drink because despite the live entertainment the place was not very busy at all we ended up being the only ones left at 8pm.
The drinks (sips as it is titled) menu isn't extensive but it has a little bit of everything including wines, spirits, craft beers and ciders so you'll be sure to find something that tickles your fancy. We came after dinner so we didn't try any of the nibbles menu but it looked good full of cheeses, small goods and the like.
The service was friendly and attentive, always coming to ask if you want another drink once your glass is empty.
Unfortunately its location means it isn't prone to lots of passing traffic, its more of a destination but hopefully it gets a good reputation and picks up (or maybe we just visited on a slow night) because it has the potential to be very cool. read more
