Saw a review from the Food Guy on Channel 5, and this place did not disappoint! This hole in the wall joint transports you straight to the streets of Bangkok. Insanely flavorful, bustling energy, menu constantly changing, will be back!

One word: WOW So freaking good and my brother in law who is Thai has the Thai seal approval and said this place is legit legit. He loved it so much he went 2 days in a row and he lives in south loop. It's super fun how the menu changes weekly. Chicken Rice - Reminds me of Hainanese chicken rice. The sauce here is so delicious. They need to jar up the sauce & sell it Kao Soi - I loved the noodles and the curry sauce it was drenched in. Chicken was decently sized but it was just a drumstick Papaya Salad - We got mild and that was a mistake because we thought it was mid Thai but it was mild mild. We'll get spicy next time Thai Iced Tea + Chrysanthemum - Both drinks were amazing! Coconut Thai Milk Custard - My daughter loved this Brown Sugar - Kind of reminded me of a Vietnamese dish. There was corn in my dessert. I really dig the coconut shavings Overall yummy experience and would love to come back. I think some of the portions could be bigger though but I think that's the concept of 'street food'

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was filled with locals and Thai customers, which is always a great sign. The food really felt like authentic Thai street food, I enjoyed everything that we ordered. Khao soi chicken: A rich coconut curry noodle soup with a chicken drumstick. Super flavorful. Chicken rice combo: Half regular poached chicken and half fried chicken. The fried chicken and the sauces that it came with was very good. Brown sugar dessert: A warm tapioca-based dessert cooked in brown sugar and topped with sweet and slightly savory coconut milk. Perfect if you have a sweet tooth like me.

The hours here are a bit odd to open only on Wed, Thu, but going forward they added Fri and Sat too! The menu often changes, so keep an open mind as to what they may be serving that day. I got a bouncy pork noodle, which sorta is like wonton noodles except it's just pork balls. The vibe immediately takes me SE Asia. The blue Pepsi table cloths and metal stools. If anything, the people and their customers speaking their native language felt really fun to me. For an easy getaway and experience, Noodles Party hits the spot.

Delicious! They make the best crab Rangoon. And their Thai basil dishes are outstanding.

The cold gluten salad is a true highlight here, with an impeccable springy texture and an absolutely perfect mix of chili oil and sesame in the seasoning. The flatbread was also a standout, being perfectly crunchy and flavorful alongside a cumin lamb with a good punch. I was less impressed by the hand-pulled noodles. The soup itself was fine, as were the lamb intestines (though I really prefer them grilled). However, for hand-stretched noodles, the noodles were just lacking and missing something. Maybe wheat noodles get better the further west you go, and it just isn't quite Lanzhou style.

I tried the biang biang noodles, but which was a bit bibimbap-esque with the tomato and egg, black bean pork, braised beef, and minced sauce. This was awesome as I love each ingredient individually but normally can't choose between which noodle bow I want. Mixed together, this creates a heavenly flavor of sweet, sour, and umami. The biang biang noodles were thick, chewy and bouncy, and like wider longer belts. The texture was actually so addicting and I devoured my bowl almost instantly. My friend got the Szechuan spicy vermicelli pot with beef, but this needed a bit more flavor and spice. Adding vinegar helped! Our server was super nice and friendly and helped us pack all our leftovers too.

Our large group was accommodated easily, and we were served relatively quickly after an initial delay while we were waiting for someone to come by. Food came soon after that. We ordered a wide range of things: honey shrimp, beef tripe, pork intestine, Hong Kong style fried noodles. Everything here is solid and delicious. Portions are reasonable too. Ambience is nice, clean, and modern. Only issue while we were here is that some in our group tried to order their baked chicken over spaghetti and they were out of spaghetti. Interesting basic ingredient to be short on here, but rice was not a bad substitute. Would definitely come back here if ever back in Chicago!

The music kept disconnecting and cutting out, completely ruining the atmosphere. If your restaurant automatically adds gratuity for parties of five or more, DECLARE IT CLEARLY UPFRONT. Don't wait until customers are leaving to explain it. We had already tipped, but our waiter actually ran outside to tell us it wasn't enough because it HAD TO BE AT LEAST 18% GRATUITY. Forcing an 18% gratuity after providing terrible service and mid food is unacceptable. Be transparent about your policies from the start instead of putting customers in an awkward situation after the meal.

I'd ordered Homura, and stepped away to wash my hands. Just as I was sitting down, the bowl of hot fresh goodness was placed in front of me. Even when the place was busy, the service remains lighting-quick! friendly and attentive too! As for the bowl, it was absolutely fantastic! Upon mixing, everything went together perfectly. The flavors were tremendously savory and rich, with accents from the egg, seasonings, veggies, and a healthy amount of meat. The noodles were cooked perfectly too! The bowl was perfect as is, and needed nothing. I was worried the bowl would be dry, but this couldn't be farther from the truth, especially with the ladle of liquid on the bottom, everything was perfect! Now, there are various seasonings and flavor enhancers on the table, but they weren't needed, in my opinion. If you do choose to add some, be careful, as some pour fast and heavy! After happily slurping this thing down in record time, I also ordered a single helping of Chashu, as I generally love it and wanted to try. It too was brought to me in no time, and was thin, well balanced, and melted in my mouth. Where it comes to value, the bowl was $13.50, and the slice of chashu was $1.50, IIRC. Great, especially in light of what everything costs nowadays. Final verdict: Kajiken came, and it DELIVERED. Everything from start to finish was top notch, and for a very fair value of $13.50 for a fresh, tasty, and filling bowl of goodness.
